In Dee S. Knight’s One Woman Only, Jonah Goodman meets the high school sweetheart he left behind. Can he convince her to give him a second chance?

Welcome Jonah Goodman from One Woman Only, a contemporary erotic romance.

Jonah Goodman from One Woman Only

    Age: 36
    Gender: Male
    Birthplace: Lucky Strike, North Carolina
    Profession: Mechanic

Please provide a physical description of yourself.

I’m one of a set of identical triplets, though I think I’m probably the best looking of the bunch. 😉 We all have hazel eyes and black hair. Mine probably needs a trim and I’m sure I need a shave (the ladies seem to like a little scruff, you know?). I’m 6 feet two inches and I’m pretty muscular—have to be for my job, which is auto mechanic, often on the NASCAR circuit. I’m most often found in flannel shirts or tees, and rough jeans, though I can dress up when required—but I have to be required.

Please tell us a little about yourself.

My brothers and I grew up with super loving parents, though a bit unconditional. My mom is a former stripper and Dad “borrowed” a bit of money from the bank where he worked when money was tight. It takes a lot to raise three boys! But for the past 28 years or so, my mom has only taken off her clothes for Dad and Dad paid his debt to society long, long ago. For all their love and good intentions, they never married, though. So growing up in our small Bible Belt town was a little hard on me and my brothers. Daniel and Mark found their peace in books and math and I’m proud as hell of the men they grew up to be. I found my way in sports (and fighting the bullies when needed), and beneath the hood of a car. They got their PhD degrees and I got my GED, but hey, we all ended up doing what we love.

Everyone thinks that I couldn’t care less about responsibility or commitment, but even I surprised myself when I filed for and was granted four patents for new car part innovations, and (get this!) starting setting crossword puzzles for the NASCAR programs. No one knows about any of that, though, and they don’t need to. I’m cool with their impressions of me—except for Kelly Shepherd. I wish she knew me well enough to see through the façade to the whole of who I am.

Who is the significant other in your life?

Kelly Shepherd. Damn, what a fine woman she grew into! Strawberry blond hair, big green eyes, and a figure that won’t quit. I fell in love with her when we were in junior high and then screwed up royally at the beginning of our senior year. When I left her high and dry—left my family and town, actually—she never forgave me. It probably ever would have worked anyway. Her family was the richest, most powerful in town and mine…wasn’t. But now, eighteen years after I made the biggest mistake of my life, we have a second chance at seeing what might have been had the stars aligned.

How educated is this character? Is he book smart, self-taught, widely-experienced?

Jonah never did particularly well in school, but the man is a genius when it comes to cars, engines, and motors of any kind. He’s self-taught, although he did learn form is dad when he was young, and his Uncle Zeb when he left home and moved in with his uncle in Darlington, South Carolina. He became so accomplished, NASCAR teams seek him out routinely.

Does he scrape by, live comfortably, live extravagantly?

Jonah has a doublewide trailer on five acres of his uncle’s property. Outside it looks like a regular old doublewide, but inside he’s tricked it out to have a chef’s kitchen, heated floors, the most modern bathroom seen anywhere, and other creature comforts. The house is kind of like Jonah himself—deceptively simple outside but much more than expectations inside.

What special skills does your character rely on?

He’s a pretty good BS thrower—part of his charm. He can talk the ladies into most anything, but lately he’s felt the need for a lot more then racing groupies can provide. And once he sees Kelly again, he knows what he wants. Getting her onto his team will take skills he hasn’t used in a while, though. Other than that, his compulsion to meet the challenges he finds in cars is a skill of sorts. It’s gotten him four patents and the chance to make it big.

    Is he close to family?

He’s very close to his parents and especially close to his uncle, who is the most like Jonah in temperament and interests. Zeb owns a garage where Jonah works when he’s not on the NASCAR circuit for a season, and he has a house on a piece of Zeb’s land. The two spend a lot of time together. Jonah is not so close to his brothers, but mainly because they all live at a distance from each other. Mark and Daniel have always been the scholars and the serious brothers. Jonah feels very different.

How do others perceive your character based upon looks? How true is this assumption?

He is a good looking devil, and that’s the truth. When women see him, they think he’d be great in bed and a fine catch. Only the former is true because Jonah has never stayed with one woman long enough to be a “catch.” When men see him, they thing he’s a guy’s guy and would be great to have a few beers with. Both would be true.

If someone from your character’s past showed up, who would he most want it to be, and why? OR who would he most NOT want it to be, and why?

He would NOT want to see Kelly Shepherd. In fact, he’s managed to avoid seeing her for the past eighteen years, ever since he dropped her off after the homecoming dance their senior year. Now however, at his parents’ wedding, his past is slamming into his present, and he can’t avoid Kelly any longer.

Can your hero keep a secret? If not, why not? If yes, why?

Yes. For eighteen years he’s kept the secret of why he dropped out of school and left home after homecoming. No one knew—not his brothers, or parents, or even Kelly. He never said anything mostly out of embarrassment but also to protect Kelly’s reputation.

What is your hero’s breaking point?

When Jonah did everything possible to prove he was a good man and someone Kelly could rely on, she still wouldn’t give him her trust. That was when he reached the point where he wasn’t ready to do more.

How emotionally expressive is your character to others?

Everyone thinks Jonah is the brother who shows no responsibility or commitment but of the three boys, he’s the one who has stayed in touch with the others more. He’s emotionally involved with his uncle and sensitive to how his uncle feels after the death of his wife. Jonah especially shows emotion with Daniel’s new stepson, and with children in general.

About Your Writer: Questions for your character to answer about you.

To honor the person who chose to share your story, please answer these questions.

Why do you think your writer chose to write about you?

Well, I am the most interesting of the Goodman brothers. I work on cars—some of the fanciest and slickest cars around—and on NASCAR teams, with all that entails. My brothers teach school and do something with math. God only knows what, exactly. So, who would you rather write about? Dee chose the right brother!

What do you wish your writer had not told others about you?

That I’ve finally reached that point in life where I’m lonely and wanting… Just wanting. A guy who has the privilege to do what I do should be happy with life as it is, not longing for something more to fill a void. Nosy Dee could have kept my loneliness to herself.

When your writer is writing about you, what do you think makes your writer the most happy? What makes your writer the most sad?

Happiest: That I decided to go after Kelly for real and also after the biggest prize in my career. There was no holding me back.

Saddest: That I let pride and fear hold me back from doing those two things sooner.

Why do you think your writer loves to write?

She’s a damn control freak and likes taking charge of her characters’ lives. It’s a power play, but a power play over make believe people in her head. How sad is that?

What do you wish your writer would write next?

A book on automotive history. Or maybe how NASCAR started. But I don’t have much hope for either.

What other character from your book do you think your writer should write a book about? Care to tell us why?

Mark. He’s my bona fide genius of a brother. No one in the family really understands what he does so if she wrote his story maybe we’d find out.

Is there anything you’d like to say to your writer?

Good job, Dee! Thanks for giving me my heart’s desire.

Calista Barlow falls in love with a man who isn’t as squeaky-clean as he appears. Let’s meet Calista. Welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Arresting Jeremiah by Amber Daulton

    Genre: Romantic Suspense

Book heat level (based on movie ratings): R

Injured Parole Officer Jeremiah “Jim” Borden never expected Calista Barlow, the sassy blonde waitress he’s craved for months, to ring his doorbell. She slips into his heart—and his bed—but he’s obsessed with a gangland investigation that threatens his career and maybe even his life.

Calista doesn’t trust easily, not with a daughter to protect and the stalker who keeps calling her. After her violent ex-boyfriend returns, she finds solace in Jim’s arms.

Jim may have to forego his need for answers to protect the ready-made family he adores, but how will he and Calista escape an unseen enemy that is always one step ahead of them?

    Introducing Calista Barlow

    Please tell me about yourself.

    Age: 28

    Gender: Female

    Birthplace: Aspen, Colorado

    Profession: Waitress at Demi’s Diner

    Ethnicity: Caucasian

    What do you look like?

Oh, Lord. I knew you’d ask that question. Well, I’m six-feet tall, so I rarely wear high heels. I’m not technically ashamed of being a tall woman, but it’s so annoying when some men scowl at me, like it’s my fault they’re short. Anyway, I have long blonde hair and blue eyes. My thighs and hips are a little chunky, but my bottom looks good when I walk—or so Jeremiah says. My breasts are on the big side, so I would love to get a reduction some day. Unfortunately, it costs way too much money. (I can’t believe I’m actually saying this. You’re just so easy to talk with, Kayelle.)

Who is the significant other in your life?

Jeremiah Borden. Everyone calls him Jim, but I always use his given name unless I’m mad at him. I lucked out when I met him. He’s six-feet-two of gorgeous rock-hard muscles, and he’s always trying to persuade me to wear heels.

I dropped out of community college when I was 18. I was pregnant, and my ex wanted nothing to do with me or with our child. Serves me right for falling under a pretty boy’s thumb. I should’ve known better than to get involved with him, but I digress… I went back to school a few years later for culinary and business courses, but I didn’t have time to stick with it. My daughter, Lacey, then a job, came first.

    Are you book-smart, self-taught, widely-experienced?

I love to cook and bake, and I’ve been dreaming about opening a bakery for as long as I can remember. Even though I’ve had no real formal education into cuisine, I grew up in the shadows of a wealthy household (my mother was a maid there) and the head chef took me under his wing. I’ve learned to create a variety of French dishes under Chef Caron’s tutelage.

Do you get by, live comfortably, live extravagantly?

I get by. I’m working a dead-end job at a greasy diner since I couldn’t find a chef position without a college diploma. Though I receive some money through child support, I’m trying to save it for Lacey’s college.

When there is a setback, what doubt or flaw surfaces?

I always tend to think I’m not good enough, not smart enough, and I even go so far to think my life would be easier if I was shorter with smaller breasts.

I grew up with a wonderful, loving mother, but I didn’t know my father and the first guy I fell in love with stomped my heart into the ground. The few guys I dated after him either used me for sex—hence the body issues—or they didn’t like my daughter. How could any woman’s confidence survive unscathed after repeated abuse like that?

I’m proud to say I’ve worked through much of my self-esteem issues, but that horrible niggling doubt is always there at the back of my mind, ready to pounce when I least expect it. But I know better than to flame the fire. I’m a smart, strong woman, and no one is going to make me change my mind.

When you are upset, what gives you away?

I rarely curse, so if bad words are flying from my mouth, you better step back. I’m about to or have already blown my top.

My Valentine Adventure by Amber Daulton

    Genre: Contemporary Romance

Book heat level (based on movie ratings): PG-13

Parker Townsend is raising his children alone after he lost his wife, but then his ordered world is turned upside down when his two little hellions place a “Mom Wanted” ad in the local paper. To his chagrin, he’s roped into a blind date.

Claire Lauer answers the want ad with few expectations and meets Parker on Valentine’s Day, a day she hates with a passion. As an animal rights activist and a divorcée, she’s more comfortable with a placard in her hand than in the company of a handsome man with emotional baggage.

After a protest takes a turn for the worse, she seeks shelter in her date’s arms. Will Parker and Claire find the courage to lay their fragile hearts on the line, or will they lose their second chance at happiness?

    Introducing Claire Lauer

    Please tell me about yourself.

    Age: 35

    Gender: Female

    Birthplace: Phoenix, Arizona

Profession: Fulltime gardener and sales associate at Sunny Garden Nursery

    Ethnicity: Caucasian

    What do you look like?

Oh, Lord. I knew you’d ask that question. Well, I’m five-feet-ten. I love wearing high heels, but sneakers are my go-to footwear. I have shoulder-length, honey-blonde hair and blue eyes. My thighs and hips are a little chunky, though, and I suck in my tummy way too often. Dieting doesn’t work with me, but that’s my fault. I just can’t lay off the nacho chips. Damn, they’re delish.

Who is the significant other in your life?

Parker Townsend. He’s six-feet-two with reddish-brown hair and blue eyes a few shades darker than mine. He works as an electrician and is a wonderful father to his children. He’s also totally droolworthy, but he doesn’t know it.

Do you get by, live comfortably, live extravagantly?

I live comfortably, which I prefer. My parents are wealthy and my ex-husband is a successful defense attorney, but he only married me for my father’s connections. The prick. Anyway, I’m teaching my daughter Kaylie the importance of self-reliance and that she doesn’t need material things to be happy.

What is your viewpoint on wealth?

Since we live in a capitalist society, some money is necessary to live a safe life, but riches and jewelry is not my cup of tea. As long as I make enough money to take care of myself, Kaylie, our rescue pets, and to pay the bills, then I’m happy. Of course, now that Parker and I are together, my little family has substantially grown. We’re pooling our resources and saving on expenses by living together.

Do you see morality as black-and-white, or with shades of gray?

It’s black-and-white. There’s wrong and right, bad and good. I’m open-minded enough to know everyone makes mistakes, but when someone is purposely doing something cruel and someone else is paying the price…my temper blows. I don’t mean to preach, but I don’t like zoos, circuses, or any event that uses and abuses animals. How can stabbing an elephant with a sharp poker be a good thing? Really?

If you could make any one thing happen, what would it be?

That every animal enslaved in circuses and non-compliance zoos the world over will be rescued and sent to live in the wild or in a wildlife sanctuary. Unfortunately, that will probably never happen. The financial cost to provide the environment that the animals would need would be too great. Then add in the campaigns to reshape public opinion. It’s not an affordable option on the grand scale.

What is your biggest personal flaw?

I care too much about the people and animals around me, so I’m often hurt when things don’t turn out as I’d hoped. I hide behind a strong mask, but inside, my personal demons take a toll.

Only a Good Man Will Do by Dee S Knight

    Genre Erotic romance

Book heat level (based on movie ratings): R

Seriously ambitious man seeks woman to encourage his goals, support his (hopeful) position as Headmaster of Westover Academy, and be purer than Caesar’s wife. Good luck with that!

Daniel Goodman is a man on a mission. He aims to become headmaster of Westover Academy. For that he needs a particular, special woman to help him set high standards. Into his cut and dried life of moral and upright behavior, comes Eve Star, formerly one of Europe’s foremost exotic dancers. Her life is anything but cut and dried, black and white. Daniel is drawn to her like a kid to chocolate. Nothing good can come of this attraction. Or can it? He is after all, a good man.

    Introducing Jeffrey Torrington

    Please tell me about yourself.

    Age: 7

    Gender: Male

    Birthplace: Boston, Massachusetts

Profession: Profession? I’m just a kid!

Ethnicity: I’m a human, American boy

    What do you look like?

I’m kinda little for my age, though Mr. Goodman says I will grow someday. I have short brown hair because they make us get our hair trimmed here at school if it starts to hit our ears. In summer, with my uncle in Oklahoma, I let my hair grow and grow. It tickles. Oh… and, I have brown eyes, and… I don’t know what else. I look like a normal kid.

Who is the significant other in your life?

*giggles* Significant other? I don’t like girls much. But I guess my uncle is my significant person. After my parents died a few years ago, he’s taken care of me. And Mr. Goodman, the resident master in my dormitory. He’s cool. I like him a lot and his brother fixes cars for racing!

    How do you dress?

Here at Westover Academy, we have to wear a uniform al the time. It’s dark blue pants and jacket, with a white shirt and a dark red tie. Our shoes always have to be polished. I didn’t know how to polish shoes until I came here to school last year but now I’m real good at it. When my uncle comes to visit, I get to wear jeans and tee shirts and sneakers. I wish I could live with my uncle all the time, but he’s real busy and travels a lot. If I did, I could wear sneakers and jeans all the time.

Please tell us about your education.

I’m in second grade at Westover Academy. I’m good at arithmetic but not so good at Latin. I like hearing about all those battles the Romans fought and stuff, but I’m not very good at reading it. I like science. Right now we’re studying the planets. I can pick out two in the night sky without using a telescope at all. I think I want to be a scientist when I grow up. Or maybe a cowboy on my uncle’s ranch.

Are any of your skills a source of pride or embarrassment, and if so, which ones and why?

*sigh* I really suck at lacrosse. I almost never get the ball in my stick, and once I ran into another player when I wasn’t looking. I like playing, though. I like to run.

What kinds of things do you always carry (in pockets or purse)?

In my school uniform, nothing. I’m afraid if I left anything in there and my uniform pants were cleaned, I might get into trouble for not remembering to take it out. But when I go off campus, I always have candy in my pockets.

    What is your family like?

My mom and dad died when I was three or four. Then I went to live with my uncle in Oklahoma. When I started school, he tried to find the very best place for me, and I guess that’s here, Westover Academy. I miss being at home, but I love Uncle Neil and so I try to do what he wants me to. Here, I kinda think of Mr. Goodman as part of my family. Last weekend, when I was the only kid left in the dorm, he let me come to his apartment and we watched baseball and had pizza and everything. He’s like my uncle away from home.

If someone from your past showed up, who would you most want it to be, and why?

My mom and dad. Truthfully, I hardly remember them, but when I lived at home Uncle Neil would tell me stories about them, and about him and my dad when they were growing up on the ranch Uncle Neil owns now. I don’t really remember them, but I miss them.

Meet Jarrett Brandt from A Hero’s Heart by Amber Daulton @amberdaulton1 #RLFblog #RomanticSuspense

Meet Jarrett Brandt from A Hero's Heart by Amber Daulton @amberdaulton1 #RLFblog #RomanticSuspenseWelcome Jarrett Brandt from A Hero’s Heart, a new Romantic Suspense by Amber Daulton.

    Meet Jarrett Brandt

    Age: 28

    Gender: Male

    Birthplace: Washington State

    Profession: DEA agent

    Ethnicity: Caucasian

Please provide a physical description of yourself.

I’m a little over six feet tall. I have chin-length dark-brown hair, and it’s a little shaggy since I’ve been undercover with a criminal organization for a while. Gotta look the part, ya know? Anyway, I have dark eyes and a killer smile… or so says the ladies.

Please tell us a little about yourself.

I made a lot of mistakes as a teenager, but I’ve since straightened out my life. I love my job with the DEA, especially when I’m on an undercover assignment. I thought I was happy until I headed home to pay my respects to my twin brother, who died in the line of duty a few years earlier.

Who is the significant other in your life?

Marissa Reinn Brandt. She was my high school sweetheart and the love of my life. But then I left home and her behind. She married my brother, but the relationship didn’t last. Now I’m back and determined to do right by her and her son, my nephew. Marissa and the boy, Jason, mean everything to me.

    How does your hero dress?

In jeans and a leather jacket. Thank God it’s wintertime. He loves that dang jacket and often wears it even in the summer. It’s wonder he’s never suffered heatstroke.

If you could only hear this character’s voice (but not see him) what characteristic would identify him?

His deep, rumbling, seductive voice. The man’s sexy. I can’t deny it.

How educated is this character? Is he book smart, self-taught, widely-experienced?

He graduated from high school and hit the road, leaving town and not planning to return. After a few years of doing drugs and squandering his life, the police picked him up and the DEA offered him a deal. Turns out, some of his friends were involved in an underage prostitution ring, and it sickened him. He agreed to help the feds in exchange for his freedom. After he cleaned himself up and brought down the lowlifes, he stayed on with the agency. Everything he learned of importance since then came from federal training and life experiences.

What does he have a knack for doing?

Pretending to be the villain in order to do the right thing.

What is your character’s family like?

Jarrett’s parents embody the typical middle-class family. Though they lost one son due to a heartbreaking incident and the other due to drugs and lifestyle choices, they treat Marissa, their daughter-in-law, like a flesh-and-blood daughter. They love and support her, and will always rally behind her and their grandson.

    Is he close to family?

Not at all. As a child and teenager, Jarrett was the misfit, the black sheep. He always butted heads with his judgmental policeman father. Though he and his twin got along, Jarrett resented him for being the golden child. He loved his mother, but his father always divided them. Now that he’s finally back home, he’s still at odds with his dad, but he’s handling the problems like an adult, not a rebellious kid. He’s repairing his relationship with his mom and rekindling his love with Marissa. He adores his nephew.

Can your hero keep a secret? If not, why not? If yes, why?

Oh, yes. He has to as a federal agent. Lives depend on his silence, but with Marissa, it’s hard for him to keep anything from her. And often, he doesn’t.

About Your Writer: Questions for your character to answer about you.

To honor the person who chose to share your story, please answer at least four of these questions.

Why do you think your writer chose to write about you?

I think she knew I needed redemption after all the mistakes I’ve made. I yearned for a second chance, but I wouldn’t admit it to myself for the longest time. Amber knew that and forced me down the path of forgiveness and acceptance. I’m grateful she did. I’ve missed my family, and most of all, Marissa.

What do you wish your writer had not told others about you?

Well, now that it’s out in the open, I can talk about it. Amber should’ve known better than to tell the readers about my last assignment. I was undercover with a ruthless drug gang and barely got out of there alive. The boss put a bounty on my head, for God’s sake. It’s all over now, but damn. That was a stressful time.

When your writer is writing about you, what do you think makes your writer the most happy? What makes your writer the most sad?

She loves writing about Marissa and me. You should see her eyes light up when I’m kissing my girl or taking her to the bedroom. My author definitely has a naughty side.

She gets sad when writing about my past, though. I told her everything that happened, all the stupid shit I did, and she added it to the story without downplaying the seriousness. She believes in honesty, and I respect her for it, even though she revealed some secrets she shouldn’t have.

Why do you think your writer loves to write?

Amber likes happy endings and redeeming people like me. Everyone makes mistakes. That’s a fact of life. But if you own up to it and try to make amends, it makes you a better person. She tells those kinds of stories because she wants to inspire and give hope to anyone who needs it, and to give them a few hours of reading enjoyment.

Meet Kelly Shepherd from One Woman Only by Dee S Knight @DeeSKnight #RLFblog #romanceWelcome Kelly Shepherd from One Woman Only by Dee S Knight, a new erotic romance.

    Meet Kelly Shepherd

    Age: 36

    Gender: Female

    Birthplace: Lucky Strike, North Carolina

    Profession: Teacher

    Ethnicity: Human

Please provide a physical description of yourself.

I have green eyes and strawberry blonde hair that I’ve let grow down to my shoulders. I’m 5 feet, 6 inches and slender, though I always think I need to lose a few pounds. I run, so I have good strength in my legs, but I could stand to lift a few weights.

Please tell us a little about your character.

For most of my life I’ve been pretty lackadaisical about things. Really important things like what to do with myself. I always wanted to be a part of my family business—who knows why, except that it would get the attention of my father and I thought I’d be good at it. But my dad gave all of that to my brother, assuring me that women weren’t good at business. Did I go out and prove him wrong? No. My parents thought they knew the best man for me to marry. I wanted to please them so I gave in. It took me years to grow a spine, and now I’m not aiming low for anyone, including the man I’ve loved since high school.

Who is the significant other in your character’s life?

Jonah Goodman. He’s a triplet but he couldn’t be more different than his brothers, though they are all good guys. Jonah has always been the one let life roll off his back, never taking it or commitment to anything seriously. Strangely, those traits are why I’ve always loved him and also why we have no future.

How educated is this character? Is she book smart, self-taught, widely-experienced?

Kelly has a BA and an MBA. When she still was blocked from her family business, she went back for another master’s degree in education so she could teach second grade.

Does she scrape by, live comfortably, live extravagantly?

She lives comfortably. She grew up as part of the town’s wealthiest family, so she lived a very nice lifestyle. Then she married a well-heeled attorney. Since her divorce, she’s lived off her teacher salary but she has a comfortable nest egg from an inheritance from her grandmother to back her up in any emergency.

What is your character’s viewpoint on wealth? Not necessary, nice to have, important, obtain at all costs?

She is not affected by wealth, but she appreciates the attitude it takes to make a success of life. When she is finally handed the reins of the family legacy as it’s about to fall into bankruptcy, she needs and uses her inheritance to get it started again. To her, that’s the value of money, that it can help in a good cause.

What is your character’s family like?

Kelly’s parents are still living and she has one brother, Robbie. Her mother is cold and reserved and her father, while he has always provided for the family has never given her more than a passing glance in the affection department. Robbie, a few years younger than Kelly enjoyed his place of male importance in the household, proving how little he cared for things when he goes off to “find himself” instead of taking over the business when it needed him. Kelly would have had an awful childhood and teen years if it hadn’t been for her family’s housekeeper and the Goodmans. She got lots of love and attention from Jonah’s parents and from Mama Rio, her housekeeper and friend.

    Is she close to family?

    No. Only to Mama Rio.

    Does she have children?

She has a roomful of children each day when she arrives at school! But she doesn’t have any of her own. That was her only regret in her marriage.

What secrets does your character know about people around him that he does NOT share?

Her father embezzled from the company. It’s not a true secret, though. She’s told Jonah.

What is your character’s biggest need at the beginning of the story?

She’s happy at the first, satisfied, if not exactly happy, with her life as it is. Things change when she goes home for Thanksgiving and her parents announce that they expect her to take control of the company.

What is your heroine’s biggest hopes and dreams?

To be happy with a man she loves and have a child. She doesn’t regret divorcing her no-good husband, but she wishes he had at least given her a child. She also wants to prove to everyone that she has what it takes to succeed where no one thought she could, in building her family business back up. It’s a matter of pride.

What would help your character face hardship and meet any challenge?

Support and unconditional love, like she gets from Jonah. Too bad she loses it when she shows her ignorance of what a truly Good Man he is.

About Your Writer: Questions for your character to answer about you.

To honor the person who chose to share your story, please answer at least four of these questions. Questions with more than one point should be considered one question. You may answer as many more as you like.

Why do you think your writer chose to write about you?

She had no choice—I have been Jonah’s love since we were in high school, and she wrote about him. *grin*

What do you wish your writer had not told others about you?

I wish she hadn’t been so clear on my fears about Jonah—that he didn’t have a mature, responsible view on life. For years I’d swallowed the same story about Jonah that everyone else had, that he was a follow-the-wind kind of guy who didn’t commit to anything. If there were anyone he should have been able to reveal his true self to, it should have been me and I let him down. Why did Dee have to tell the whole world how shallow I was??

Was there anything your writer discovered about you that was a surprise to one or both of you?

How much of a milquetoast I was when it came to trying to appease my parents. Good grief. My middle name should have been “Doormat.” When I finally looked back on my life objectively, I was really embarrassed. And pissed that I’d wasted so much time trying to be something I wasn’t.

When your writer is writing about you, what do you think makes your writer the most happy? What makes your writer the most sad?

When Jonah and I banter. She loves to laugh. We make her laugh.

What other character from your book do you think your writer should write a book about? Care to tell us why?

She’s already written about two of the three Goodman brothers, so it’s only fair that she write Mark’s story next.

Is there anything you’d like to say to your writer?

Thanks for giving me red hair!

Where to buy One Woman Only by Dee S Knight

As one of a set of triplets, Jonah always feels the need to make his individuality known. So where his brother Daniel is serious and completely focused, Jonah shuns commitment. Where his genius brother Mark is hailed in the scientific world, Jonah hides beneath a car, tinkering. Thing is, being different isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. It takes a woman—the right woman—to make him see that a “good man” can always be a better man.
