Bitter Legacy by CB Clark @cbclarkauthor #RLFblog #RomanticSuspenseWelcome CB Clark, author of Bitter Legacy, a new Romantic Suspense.

Why did you write this book?

The plot of my recent release came from hearing of terrible tragedy. Fires in sawmills are a big concern. With clouds of highly combustible sawdust clogging the air and piles of kiln-dried lumber in the yards, explosions and fires are not uncommon.

These devastating disasters provided me with the idea behind my latest story. The hero and heroine are combative owners of a multi-million dollar lumber mill, the town’s main employer. What would happen if the sawmill was destroyed by a fire? What if someone deliberately set that fire? The owners must work together to find the arsonist and save the town by rebuilding the mill. Can they find love amidst this tragedy?

What is your favorite genre to read?

I read all genres of fiction, but my sweet spot is romantic suspense.

Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?

Eve Dallas, the heroine in J.D. Robb’s romantic suspense novels is a strong, independent woman with a surprising soft side.

What are you working on at the moment?

Bitter Legacy is my third romantic suspense novel. I’m working on a fourth book where the heroine escapes from an abusive husband whom the police suspect is responsible for the murder of a wealthy publisher. With the help of a ruggedly handsome homicide detective, the heroine tracks down the killer and finds love.

What books will we see from you in coming months?

I’ve submitted another romantic suspense to my publisher. If that manuscript is accepted, it could be published within the next year. I’d like to try and release two books a year, but my daughter just had identical twin boys, so that could be a challenge.

Please tell us about your latest book.

Sharla-Jean Bromley returns to her hometown after a seventeen-year absence with vengeance in her heart. From the very beginning, her plans go awry when she meets devastatingly handsome Josh Morgan, the man to whom her father left half of his multi-million dollar lumber mill.

Josh, suspicious of Sharla-Jean’s reasons for returning to town after such a long absence, vows to keep control of the company he feels is rightfully his. She is equally determined to prove she can run her father’s mill, even though it means working side-by-side with Josh, a man whose very presence evokes an attraction that is increasingly difficult for her to ignore. In the process, they must overcome a villain who’s determined to destroy both the lumber mill and their lives.

Will Sharla-Jean succeed and heal the anguish that has long filled her soul? Will she and Josh find the passion of a lifetime?

More Beginnings by Iris Blobel @_iris_ b #RLFblog #RomanceWelcome Iris Blobel author of More Beginnings, a new Contemporary Romance.

Why did you write this book?

More Beginnings is the second book in the Beginnings series. A few years ago, I travelled to Hobart in Tasmania and instantly fell in love with the city. Despite Hobart being a capital, it is small compared to other major cities in Australia, so I thought about characters moving from Sydney. It snow balled from there: the first book New Beginnings tells the story about Sophie and Mia Levesque’s move and their new start. I loved the characters, so Sophie’s neighbour, Zach, was given his own story as well.

What is your favorite genre to read?

I like a good mystery or crime story. After all these years, I still love the Jack Reacher stories by Lee Child.

Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?

I’d say Jack Reacher. But there’s also Jax and Sawyer from Jill Shalvis’ Lucky Harbor series. And I looooove Ivan from “If You Could See Me Now” by Cecelia Ahern

What are you working on at the moment?

I’m currently polishing the last Beginnings book “Fresh Beginnings” for re-release. At the same time I’m adding the final touch of a book which is mainly set in New Zealand – something different for me, and I cannot wait for it to be released.

What books will we see from you in coming months?

I have to be really patient and take it one step after the other. As mentioned before, I’m hoping to re-release “Fresh Beginnings”, release my NZ story, and finish my “Fermosa Bay” trilogy. Exciting times ahead!

Please tell us about your latest book.

Zach Taylor, an escort in Sydney, living in Hobart, enlists the help of Natasha Peterson when his teenage friend, Mia, runs away. He soon finds out that the ‘dragon’ is really more of a kitten. And although Natasha, Mia’s teacher, is attracted to him as well, she has her own problems to deal with, not to mention her initial reaction to Zach’s occupation.

Will Zach’s job keep him from a chance to be with Natasha?

Life is good for teenager Mia Levesque. But when Darren Schuster shows up in Hobart, she knows something is up once Sophie and Mark cut their weekend away short and rush home in the middle of the night. When Sophie won’t answer Mia’s questions, emotions run high, and Zach confirms Darren’s identity to Mia. Disappointed, angry, and feeling alone, Mia runs away.

Will life settle back into a routine for Mia once she finds out about the stranger in her life?

Drakon's Prey by NJ Walters @njwaltersauthor #RLFblog #PNRWelcome NJ Walters author of Drakon’s Prey, a new Paranormal Romance.

Why did you write this book?

Drakon’s Prey is the second book in the new Blood of the Drakon series. A drakon is the son of a dragon and a human woman. I started this series with the premise of four drakons, all half brothers (same drakon sire, different mothers). They are 4000 years old and they have an enemy who will stop at nothing to capture and control them. Not only do drakons have great wealth, but their blood will cure all disease and prolong the life of the human drinking it. This is Tarrant’s story.

What is your favorite genre to read?

Romance. No surprise there. I love all kinds of romance—paranormal, historical, contemporary, and romantic suspense. I also like nonfiction and tend to read a lot of self help/spiritual books as well.

Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?

That’s a tough one. There are so many. Eve Dallas from J.D. Robb’s In Death series is right up there. She’s tough and smart, but has a tender side, which she shows very reluctantly. I’ve read the entire series and am always waiting for the next book.

What are you working on at the moment?

I’m working on another drakon book for the series.

What books will we see from you in coming months?

Lots happening in the coming months. My new publisher, Entangled, will be rereleasing my entire Samhain Publishing backlist (over 30 books), which was taken down with Samhain Publishing closed. I also have a new drakon book—Drakon’s Plunder—on July 3rd.

I’m thrilled to be part of an incredible anthology—Blue Collar: A Boys Behaving Badly anthology. My story is “Roadside Assistance.” It is available on June 13th, and can be pre-ordered for only 99-cents on Amazon.

The remaining three books in my Dalakis Passion vampire series will be rereleased between now and the end of the year. And there will probably be more.

Please tell us about your latest book.

Valeriya Azarov turned her back on the family business to write and illustrate children’s books. But with a sister who leads the Knights of the Dragon, it’s impossible to get away from the secret society whose mission is to destroy and enslave dragons. When information falls into her hands along with the opportunity to save at least one of the ancient creatures, she can’t turn away any longer.

When a woman moves into the cabin above Tarrant Cooper’s secret underground lair, he’s both suspicious and intrigued. He hasn’t lasted four thousand years being careless, so when he suspects her of being a part of the Knights, the plan is to kidnap her and find out how much the organization knows about him and his brothers.

He’s drawn to Valeriya, but trusting her could get him killed. Even if she’s a pawn in the war between drakons and Knights, giving her his heart would mean forever.

Amorous Redemption by Faye Hall @FayeHall79 #RLFblog #HistoricalRomanceWelcome Faye Hall author of Amorous Redemption, a new Historical Romance.

Why did you write this book?

Amorous Redemption came about because of the stories I was told of my great grandmother’s family and the station, Inkerman Downs Station, they took ownership of upon migrating to Australia. There was some real controversy about her marriage and this was my take on that.

What is your favorite genre to read?

Historical Romance

Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?

My all-time favorite fictional is Belle from Beauty and the Beast.

What are you working on at the moment?

I’ve just been contracted for my eighth book, Heart of Stone, so am waiting for edits to start. In the meantime I’m writing my seven book series about the sins of humanity.

What books will we see from you in coming months?

Heart of Stone should hopefully be out later this year with Beachwalk Press. It is an intriguing tale of an Australian slave trader who falls in love with an Irish slave.

Please tell us about your latest book.

In Faye Hall’s Amorous Redemption, Phoebe Porter’s family needed her dead if they were to gain control of her substantial cattle station and vast fortune. She ran away from her home desperate to save her life, but she ran straight into the arms of the bounty hunter that had been sent after her. She fought against him the whole journey from Ravenswood back to her home but eventually all she could do was surrender her heart and body to him.

Faye Hall Social Media

Faye’s passion driven, mystery filled books are set in small townships of North Queensland, Australia during the late 1800’s. Each of her novels brings something symbolically Australian to her readers, from Aboriginal herbal remedies, to certain gemstones naturally only found in this part of the world.

Each of her books tells of a passionate connection between the hero and heroine, surrounded and threatened by deceit, scandal, theft and sometimes even murder. These romances swerve from the traditional romances as Faye aims to give her readers so much more intrigue, whilst also revealing the hidden histories of rural townships of North Queensland. Faye finds her inspiration from the histories of not only the township she grew up in, but the many surrounding it. She also bases most of her characters on people she has met in her life.

Faye was able to live her own passion driven romance, marrying the love of her life after a whirlwind romance in 2013. Together they are raising their nine children in a remote country town in northern Queensland, Australia.

Gallowglass by Jennifer Allis Provost @parthalan #RLFblog #urbanfantasyWelcome Jennifer Allis Provost author of Gallowglass, a new urban fantasy.

Why did you write this book?

I originally set out to write this book almost ten years ago. I was researching Celtic myths when I came across a book written in the seventeenth century called The Secret commonwealth of elves, Fauns, and Fairies, which was notorious because the author—one Robert Kirk–had supposedly angered the fairies by revealing their secrets, so they captured him and imprisoned him in a tree. (For real. Go ahead, Google it. I’ll wait.)

Anyway, I couldn’t stop thinking about Robert, wondering if he was really stuck in the tree or if he got to wander around Fairyland, and eventually I decided that he’d become the Seelie Queen’s personal assassin, her gallowglass. And here we are today.

What is your favorite genre to read?

Urban fantasy and paranormal romance.

Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?

Does R2D2 count?

What are you working on at the moment?

I’m finishing up the sequel to Gallowglass, Walker, and working on the fourth installment of my epic fantasy series, The Chronicles of Parthalan. I’ve also got a Secret Project brewing, which has supernatural elements I’ve never worked with before. Exciting times!

What books will we see from you in coming months?

Walker (Gallowglass #2), Golem (Parthalan #4) and the aforementioned Secret Project.

Please tell us about your latest book.

Genre urban fantasy, paranormal romance

Karina didn’t set out to free the Seelie Queen’s gallowglass. Now she’ll do anything to keep him.

After Karina and her brother, Chris’s, lives fall apart in separate yet equally spectacular ways, they leave New York behind and head to the UK. Karina buries herself in research for her doctoral thesis, all the while studiously not thinking about the man who broke her heart, while Chris—who’d been a best-selling author before his ex-fiancée sued him for plagiarism—drinks his way across the British Isles.

In Scotland, they visit the grave of Robert Kirk, a seventeenth- century minister who was kidnapped by fairies. No one is more shocked than Karina when a handsome man with a Scottish brogue appears, claiming to be the Robert Kirk of legend. What’s more, he says he spent the last few hundred years as the Gallowglass, the Seelie Queen’s personal assassin. When they’re attacked by demons, Karina understands how dearly the queen wants him back.

As Karina and Robert grow closer, Chris’s attempts to drown his sorrows lead him to a pub, and a woman called Sorcha. Chris is instantly smitten with her, so much so he spends days with Sorcha and lies to his sister about his whereabouts. When Chris comes home covered in fey kisses, Karina realizes that the Seelie Queen isn’t just after Robert.

Can Karina outsmart the Seelie Queen, or is Robert doomed to forever be the Gallowglass?

Venus and Lysander by Yoshiyuki Ly @LyLikeLee #RLFblog #historical #romanceWelcome Yoshiyuki Ly author of Venus and Lysander, a new Historical Romance.

Why did you write this book?

LGBT historical romances typically focus on forbidden relationships. I decided to add fantasy elements and a made-up setting to mostly distance myself from that reality. It’s a fresh take on that type of era along with some social commentary so as to not make it completely unrealistic.

What is your favorite genre to read?

Philosophy.

Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?

Noah from Consider What Becomes of the Ashes by Pixelnyx. He goes through many hardships as a refugee in a foreign city. I admire his muted tenacity as he pushes on.

What are you working on at the moment?

A distant follow-up to Venus and Lysander that wraps up the plot I’ve built up in this world. It’s a romance with fantasy elements, but set in a more contemporary time period.

What books will we see from you in coming months?

Hopefully the one I mentioned above.

Please tell us about your latest book.

Genre: Historical romance/fantasy.

Book heat level (based on movie ratings): R.

Living as a nobleman and as a woman, Valerie of Lysander is sick of waiting for the world to change. The discrimination she suffers as an outcast builds into resentment. Once Val takes matters into her own hands, the whole Empire of Tynan feels her brand of justice. The Emperor’s adviser, Lucrezia of Azrith, wants more of Val’s ruthlessness—for revenge against the unjust, and for her own desires. Venus and Lysander is an intricate romance set in the fictional Victorian city of Eden, 250 years after the events in The Scorpion’s Empress.

Lucrezia is Lady Chancellor for the Emperor and a sorceress-in-hiding. She is forced to conceal her identity from the religious public for fear of death. As she learns to trust in Val’s chivalry and affections for her, they both fall for the softer sides behind their similar bulletproof personas. Lucrezia receives a mysterious warning about a sadistic enemy threatening the Azrith and Lysander families. Once they discover their nemesis’ true motive, Val and Lucrezia’s tyrannous devotion for one another is all they can count on to survive.

Welcome Kristina Knight author of Famous in a Small Town, a
new Contemporary Romance.
Why did you write
this book?
Famous in a Small Town is the first book in my new small
town series, set in the fictional town of Slippery Rock, Missouri. I wanted to
write about the kind of place where I grew up. I had this idea about what might
happen to a few hometown football heroes, who were now back in their small town
and figuring out what was next for them. And that’s where the characters
basically took over. I’m so excited for this series, not just because of the
location (a small lake town in Missouri) but because the characters are so real
to me. I hope readers fall in love with them, like I did.
What is your favorite
genre to read?
I don’t know that I have a favorite, although I probably
read contemporary romances more than any other. But I love cozy mysteries,
historicals, and I’ve found a renewed interest in memoirs the past few months.
So, I guess my favorite genre is whatever I happen to be reading at this moment
(and right now I’m reading a memoir and a contemporary at the same time!).
Who is your favorite
character from fiction (not including your own)?
There are so many! I adore Mr. Darcy, and I have serious
feelings for Inigo from The Princess
Bride
, and I can’t leave out Justin from Diana Palmer’s Long, Tall Texans series. . .I think my
favorite, though, is Jo from Little
Women.
I always thought I was a little like her – a little too bookish, a
little tomboyish, a little sarcastic. Although she does speak her mind much
more often than I ever have. Hmm, maybe I need to be more like Jo!
What are you working
on at the moment?
I’m finishing up book 4 in the Slippery Rock series, Levi
and Camden’s book, and I’ll start on a novella for the series in another couple
of weeks – yay, more Slippery Rock books!
What books will we see
from you in coming months?
You’re going to see all the Slippery Rock books! Famous is
the first, and stars Collin Tyler and Savannah Walters. Then in July book two
releases, Rebel in a Small Town, featuring Slippery Rock’s acting sheriff,
James Calhoun and Mara Tyler (Collin’s sister). Then, in September, book 3
releases, Breakup in a Small Town. Book 3 features married-but-on-the-rocks
Adam and Jenny. And then, in December, you’ll get book 4, featuring Levi
Walters (Savannah’s older brother) and Camden Harris, a new arrival to town.
And, I don’t have a release date or a title yet, but Aiden, Adam’s twin, will
get his own novella some time in the fall. He’ll be paired up with Savannah’s
wedding planner. Julia Colson.
Please tell us about
your latest book.
Famous in a Small Town is a contemporary romance with a
friends-to-lovers theme. Savannah is Collin’s best friend’s sister, and is
running from a bit of a scandal. Collin has never run from anything in his
life, so he doesn’t understand A) why Savannah’s back in town or B) why he can’t
stop thinking about a woman he knows won’t be staying around for long. He is
rooted very deeply in Slippery Rock, but he can’t stay away from Savannah….
Book heat level (based on movie ratings): R
Forced to leave Nashville after a scandal, Savannah Walters
has come home to Slippery Rock, Missouri, with a bruised ego and her singing
career in jeopardy. As if that isn’t humiliating enough, on her way into town
she’s rescued by her swoon-worthy childhood crush, Collin Tyler.
His hands are full running the family orchard and dealing
with his delinquent teen sister, so Collin doesn’t need to get involved with
someone as fiery and unpredictable as Savannah. But the intense attraction
between them can’t be denied. And when disaster strikes, they’ll both be
surprised by who’s still standing when the dust settles.

Welcome Veronica Scott author of Danger in the Stars, a new scifi
romance.
Why did you write
this book?
When I was writing Star Cruise: Stowaway for the ‘Pets In
Space’ anthology last year, I had the premise of an empathic alien priestess
stolen from her own world and sold to an interstellar crime syndicate, forced
to do their bidding. In that novella, the story was about the woman’s escape
with the help of my ship’s crew and two pets. When I finished writing that one,
I started thinking about a sister, also held as a prisoner, but not lucky
enough to escape. How would it be for her, to be in the midst of the criminal
operations, trying to stay true to her own values, but forced to commit crimes?
Who would help her? Conor, the hero, came into my head and said, “I will.”
He’s a comple man of many secrets, but no spoilers from me!
What is your favorite
genre to read?
I love science fiction romance, but I read voraciously,
everything from Regency romances to romantic suspense with Navy SEALs.
Who is your favorite
character from fiction (not including your own)?
I love Nalini Singh’s Arrows in her Psy-Changeling series,
and of that group, Judd is still my favorite.
What are you working
on at the moment?
I’ve got two things going on – a paranormal novel set in
ancient Egypt and a new scifi romance. I don’t usually try to juggle telling
two stories at once but the Egyptian tale came to me one night completely
plotted and so I figured I’d better write it!
What books will we see from you in coming months?
In May I’ll be releasing a volume of three scifi romance
stories, which were previously only available in anthologies, and then of
course the two new books I talked about in the previous question will come out
in the summer.
Please tell us about
your latest book.

Welcome Sayara St Clair author of Yearn For You, a new
Erotic Romance.
Why did you write this book?
While I was writing
Hurt Me, Heal Me (the first book in the Dante’s Purgatory Series), BDSM club
owner, Dante Caffarelli, began speaking to me. He was loud and he was
persistent. He’s a Dom, so he tends towards bossiness. He’d arrive at about
4:30-5:00 am and wake me up with fantastic bits of dialogue. And no matter how
little sleep you’ve had, Dante turning up in your bedroom in the morning is not
something to be ignored.
What is your favorite genre to read?
Romance. And within
that broad genre, I love paranormal—vampires, demons or angels only. I’m not
interested in things like wood sprites or shapeshifting centipedes. I also like
reading erotic romance and historical romance. If someone gave me a story about
a Vampire-demon hybrid Dom living in the 1800’s, I’d be so happy. Put him a
kilt, stick him on a horse and have him galloping about over the moors, and I’d
be in heaven.
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not
including your own)?
That’s a really hard
one for me. There are so many characters I’ve come across who have made an
impression on me. Because I can’t decide, I might go with my first fictional
love, Mr Rochester from Jane Eyre. Enigmatic, tortured and terribly
flawed…need I continue?
What are you working on at the moment?
Right now, I’m working
on Master Me, which is book three in the Dante’s Purgatory series. The story is
about Xavier—the biggest, baddest guy in the club—and Trixie—the diminutive,
yet feisty sub, who’s decided she’d rather be on the other end of the whip.
Trixie likes to live on the edge. I’ll give you one guess who she wants to
dominate.
What books will we see from you in coming months?
Firstly it will be
Master Me. Following that, I plan to release the first book in my paranormal
romance series. That is…unless any more Doms start busting into my bedroom at
ungodly hours!
Please tell us about your latest book.
Genre: BDSM, Erotic
Romance.
Book heat level (based
on movie ratings): R
Dante has been Erica’s savior since she was a child,
protecting her from others, wiping her tears, making her feel worthy. Until, as
the years passed, she began to feel something new…and a girl’s crush became a
young woman’s unyielding passion. Though she ran away to Paris after Dante
unknowingly broke her heart, even distance couldn’t quell Erica’s desire.
Because she knows Dante well, knows what he’s capable of doing for a woman…and
knows her submissive needs match Dante’s deep dominance perfectly.
Dante’s in trouble. For years he’s kept his burning ache for
his best friend’s sister firmly in check. But now Erica’s back in the States,
more gorgeous than ever. Worse, she wants to learn about BDSM—and she’s
determined to have Dante as a teacher. He won’t let her near the club he
co-owns with her brother—Chris would kill him—but he’ll “train” her
at home. When he’s done, Erica will want nothing to do with the lifestyle. And
hopefully her crush on Dante will be diminished…for both their sakes.
But Erica proves to be far more resilient that he’d ever
dreamed, and Dante’s plan backfires in spectacular fashion, driving her
straight into the clutches of someone far worse than another Dom. Someone
dangerous, someone from his past…who’s going to make Erica pay for Dante’s
sins.

Sayara St. Clair is an erotic romance author who writes
intense, emotionally charged tales, featuring dominant alpha males sporting
either floggers or fangs.
Sayara has a Science Degree, majoring in Microbiology and
Biochemistry. Working in both the fields of Serology and Tissue Banking, she
got to do lots of cool and sometimes slightly weird stuff. She was employed as
the Manager/Buyer for Furniture Retail stores, where she had a chance to
unleash her inner Interior Decorator. And for a time, she taught English to
students in Asia. Now she’s a writer and has discovered it’s her favorite thing
to do. She’s also learned that writing sultry romantic fiction is so much more
fun than writing dry old scientific journal articles.
When she’s not writing, she may be most commonly found on
the sofa reading, in the kitchen baking, or in the garden planting. She loves
eighties music and is prone to spontaneous bouts of dancing.
With regards to vampires and chocolate: She bites one on a
daily basis and has had a lifelong obsession with the other. And she’s not
telling which one’s which.
