What’s ahead on the Romance Lives Forever blog for 2022? 25 interviews and opportunities #RLFblog #books #authors
In 2022 the Romance Lives Forever blog will offer 25 different interviews. Download one that fits you or your characters. Think of ways you can leverage your book and get more than one interview out of the story. For example, interview your character about What’s For Dinner, then come back the next month with Stressing the Hero/ine.
Here’s where to download the interviews. https://www.rlfblog.com/author-interviews/
I’ve updated them. Be sure to download the newest versions rather than use old ones. If you’ve been on the blog before, the info I ask for will be a snap, because I’ll have your data on file.
Social Media on RLFblog
The blog uses the hashtag #RLFblog, and the hashtags most often associated with it are #Romance #RomanticSuspense #suspense #historical #contemporary #PNR #paranormalromance #paranormal and #SciFi. Readers here love those genres, but there are dozens more.
Twitter generates about 85% of the traffic to the RLF website, mostly because it is fed from Triberr — which did a great job. Because of my followers, the tribemates I associate with and their followers, RLF has a reach of over three million. The program works because it brings new readers, and reminds current ones of new material. It provides an average of 45 – 50 mentions on Twitter every day, and since each post has the guest author’s Twitter handle in the title, that means the guest gets mentioned too. If you aren’t using Twitter, you’re not getting the full power of this blog’s reach. Please consider signing up, and while you’re there, I’d love it if you’d follow me. https://twitter.com/kayelleallen
Take Advantage of our Reach
Sign up for a book cover spot on the front page of RLF and take advantage of the traffic this blog generates. Did you know there are multiple authors who plan their appearances based on the dates of book releases? Why? Because RLFblog gets the word out about new books and helps authors get their name in front of readers. There’s a link on the upper left side of the blog that says Share your book cover with readers. Click that to reserve your spot.
Sign Up for the RLFblog
You can see all the signups available by visiting the signup page. The site will email you a confirmation, send a reminder, and even include links where you can download an interview for the site.
Interviews
RLF has over 20 different interviews you can download and fill out, or you can write an article. All the interviews have a space to feature your newsletter, and we use Yoast SEO to enable you to tell Google and other search engines how your want your post to be found. You’ll see the info near the top of each interview.
Be A Keeper
Please join me at Kayelle’s Keepers, a Facebook group for readers. I’m planning to host takeovers and I’d love to feature RLF authors as guests. Join the group here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/kayelleskeepers
Thank you…
The blog has grown and changed in response to your requests, and I hope you’ve found it helpful. If there is something you’d like me to add or change, please let me know. Thank you for your support. It’s been a pleasure getting to know you, and I hope to see you back soon.

Pick up cool tips from Jan Selbourne and Anne Krist authors of Finding a Christmas Miracle by @DeeSKnight @JanSelbourne #RLFblog #HolidayRomance #PNR
Jan Selbourne and Anne Krist write of two men in Hell, wishing for a Christmas miracle with little hope of getting it.
Anne, welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Happy to have you here! Thanks for sharing two tips with us today, but first, please tell us about Finding a Christmas Miracle.
Finding a Christmas Miracle by Jan Selbourne and Anne Krist
Genre Historical romance
Book heat level (based on movie ratings): R
Two exceptional novellas featuring two men engulfed in a war no one understands or wants—Vietnam. They’re both hoping for a miracle with little expectation of finding it.
Jan Selbourne lends her award-winning writing talent to A Miracle in the Outback. Nick Saunders is in a hurry to escape a family argument and also to return to his Army base in Wagga Wagga. He doesn’t need another complication. Rachel Garth is a woman with a broken down car, a small girl, a deadly snake, and a baby on the way. She needs Nick’s help. He doesn’t know it, but he needs hers, too.
In award-winning author Anne Krist’s The Miracle of Coming Home, Army PFC Tom Stabler wins a trip to his parents’ Nebraska farm for Christmas. He needs the time away from the war. Lately, he’s been feeling lost and too alone. Trouble is, being home is almost as bad. Then Susan Swensen arrives, just as sweet and pretty as he remembers. Can Susan help him find himself again, or will it take a miracle?
Two Tips for Writing
Since Jan and I wrote this book as a team, I’d like to address writing with a partner.
Taking a partner in writing is not an easy thing. So my first tip is to work with someone you respect as a writer and with whom you know a little something of their personality. Writing is not only (sometimes) an isolated endeavor, it’s also a possessive kind of task. For a team to work, you need to be able to take editing and critiquing from your partner. This is why you need someone you respect—you have to trust them with your work and their comments. The goal is to make a really good book readers will love. The partnership won’t work if you don’t respect both your partner’s writing skill and their judgment in helping you make your work better.
Be sure you’re both on the same page. As individual writers, we can change a story line mid-way if we want to. Turn that heroine on the train from New York to Chicago to an astronaut riding the trail of a comet to the outer galaxies. But with a partner you need to agree ahead of time to a genre, time period, length, and deadline, at a minimum. Any later changes must be discussed and agreed to or else you could have a disjointed book on your hands. Jan and I came to a decision on our book from an off-the-cuff email discussion. She said she had in mind a novella story line that involved the Vietnam War. I asked if she would be interested in a duet book if I also wrote a Vietnam War novella. And here was another consideration: Jan doesn’t write erotic romance as Dee S Knight does. So I agreed to write my portion as Anne Krist, Dee’s sweet little sister. It wouldn’t do for Jan’s fans to turn the page and suddenly find a hot sex scene in a Dee novella. Agreement and joint decision making, that’s my second tip for writing with a partner.
Jan and I wish everyone a Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and a New Year looked forward to with anticipation!

Jan Selbourne was born and educated in Melbourne, Australia and her love of literature and history began as soon as she learned to read and hold a pen. After graduating from a Melbourne Business College her career began in the dusty world of ledgers and accounting, working in Victoria, Queensland and the United Kingdom. On the point of retiring, she changed course to work as secretary of a large NSW historical society. Now retired Jan is enjoying her love of travelling and literature. She has two children, a stray live-in cat and lives near Maitland, New South Wales.

A few years ago, Dee S Knight began writing, making getting up in the morning fun. During the day, her characters killed people, fell in love, became drunk with power, or sober with responsibility. And they had sex, lots of sex.
After a while, Dee split her personality into thirds. She writes as Anne Krist for sweeter romances, and Jenna Stewart for ménage and shifter stories. All three of her personas are found on the Nomad Authors website (www.nomadauthors.com). Fortunately, Dee’s high school sweetheart is the love of her life and husband to all three ladies! Once a month, look for Dee’s Charity Sunday blog posts, where your comment can support a selected charity.

Kassandra Cross, welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Happy to have you here! Please tell us about A Bear For Christmas.
A Bear For Christmas by Kassandra Cross
Genre Festive Paranormal Romance
Book heat level (based on movie ratings): 15 / 18
Wild… Passionate… Grizzly…
What do you want for Christmas?
Unlucky-in-love Megan is escaping her troubled past, when she travels to an exclusive ski resort in Vermont to spend the holidays. All she wants to do is relax, unwind, and forget all about men.
But that all changes when the handsome Mason walks into her life… and completely turns it upside down. Mason is wild, untamed, and is hiding a wickedly sexy secret!
This Christmas, Megan is going to receive a present she never could have prepared for, she is about to be claimed by a seriously hot alpha bear!
A Bear For Christmas is a festive, feel good love story, full of magic, grizzly shifters, and set in a small, snowy mountain town.
Tell us about yourself as a person.
What makes you different from other people?
I’m not sure about anything that makes me specifically different, but I guess everyone is unique in their own way! I’m a mother, a wife, a daughter, a sister and a lover of the written word. I work hard, and play harder most of the time. I’m a little bit witchy, love hanging out with friends and traveling as much as I can. Life is never boring!
What is your personality type?
I would probably come across as an extrovert, but I am most definitely an introvert. I love my own company and a quiet night at home, writing in bed with a glass of wine and a face mask.
What was your favorite childhood game?
My best friend and I used to make dens underneath our staircases as kids and pretend we were little people who lived there. We still talk about it to this day!
What is your favorite subject to talk about?
Apart from books and writing, I love talking about current events and anything magical.
What is your favorite book?
How can I pick just one!? At the moment I am loving reading paranormal romance, especially books with witches and shifters. My all time favorite literary book might just be My Dark Vanessa though. It is so very, very good.
Tell us about yourself as a writer.
What made you want to be a writer?
My mother has a great love of books and her and I spent a lot of time reading when I was growing up. As a teen I journaled and started writing my own stories, and it all kind of spiraled from there. When it came to university I knew I didn’t want to study anything except English Lit and Creative Writing, so that’s what I did. It really helped build my craft and my confidence being involved in writing groups, and since then I have also gone on to complete a Masters Degree and study with some big names in the publishing industry. It’s been a fun journey, but independently publishing romance has to be my favorite chapter so far. It is great being in control of what I want to write, when I want to write it, without limits.
What are your favorite books for writing advice?
The Writers’ and Artists’ Yearbook continues to be an invaluable source of information year in and year out. I’ve studied writing at university (both undergrad and postgrad) so I got to know a lot of good reference books for both the established and beginning writer. My inbox is always open if anyone needs any tips!
What’s your best advice for a new writer?
Read. Read. Read. I know it’s a cliche, but it really is the best advice. Also, network, make friends in the author community, take risks and enjoy your writing journey. It’s unique to you and will take many twists and turns, but just have faith and keep going.
What are your writing goals for the next year or so?
I’m currently finishing up the first book in a new paranormal romance series. The series is called The Witches of Valport Springs and the first book will be Black Magic, which releases at the end of March 2022. The second book in the series will also release next year, along with the first book in an academy series set in the same world. I have two anthologies I’m working on, Cocky Alpha Shifters and Eclipsing Hearts. My main goal is to kickstart the world of Valport Springs with a bang, and hope my readers love it as much as I do :)
