Why did you write this book?
Unseen is book five in a nine book series of short Romantic Suspense series.
These are the stories of nine soldiers who survived an ambush on their last mission. Three of their brother’s in arms did not come back. These books are loaded with personal angst, remorse, survivors guilt and still, the hope for redemption and a better future. Each book has its own HEA.
We all have demons and regrets in life, those who serve in the military often have more than their fair share.
I was invited to join the Heart of the Wounded Hero series. My Hardcore Inc books are a spin off of my book Unscathed, from that series.
What is your favorite genre to read?
Romantic Suspense
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)? Oh so many.. Gabriel Sinclair from Double Dealing by Jayne Castle: Dane Hollister from Dream Man by Linda Howard: Jack Reacher from Lee Child; Jack Ryan from Tom Clancy….
What are you working on at the moment?
Book six in the Hardcore series is Unbound. Gunner is the next hero on the team to get his story. Forced to become a man while still an adolescent he carries the scars with him, determined to use the memories to protect anyone who needs him.
I recently published, Christmas Knight, a holiday short and am currently working on a Saint Paddy’s day short for my New York Knights series.
What books will we see from you in coming months?

Why did you write this book?
I wanted to show the Far West as it really was, without the cowboy myths, without the shootouts and without the happy mail-order bride fantasy. I felt that real people had to be portrayed with all their failures and successes.
What is your favorite genre to read?
I read many different sorts of books, but my favourite is literary travel.
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
The interfering and bossy Flora Post from Stella Gibbon’s delightful Cold Comfort Farm is a great favorite of mine. She can’t be fooled, but she sees the humour in everything.
What are you working on at the moment?
A non-fiction history of life on the Great Hungarian Plain.

I lived in Germany for three years, and my son spoke fluent German as a toddler. It was great fun to write the novella, and I’m thrilled that readers familiar with Kaiserslautern and Ramstein appreciated the attention to detail.
Describe a scene you decided to cut. Bonus – explain how you decided.
Fill us in on a quirk or background info about your main character that you might not have revealed in the book.
Birgitte is strongly protective of her younger brother, enough that she’s willing to risk getting in trouble to help him, and puts her in direct conflict with Lieutenant Lee Klein, the hero.
What quirk of your own is written into one of your characters?
In one aspect, Lee is very much like I was: excited to explore a foreign land, but at the same time intimidated by trying to speak the language.
Without naming names, tell us about a character quirk that is patterned after someone you know.
Some of the difficulty in a relationship has to do with misunderstandings related to language, and a know someone who married a German girl. They’ve had some doozies, but always managed to work it out.
A secret about you: What flaw makes you a better writer?
I’m obsessive in terms of making sure each story is different. That makes for a lot of work, but I think my readers enjoy a new adventure each time, so it’s worth it!

Thank you for agreeing to interview with us! Our readers would like to get to know you a bit better, and perhaps read the book your author wrote about you.
What bad habits do you struggle to overcome?
Giving commands and expect them to be obeyed. In the Warrior Angel’s Legion you are expected to follow orders and give commands that can ultimately save the Angel’s in your legion. Dealing with mortals/ shapeshifters, you are romantically involved with, is a whole different ball game.
What color looks best on you?
Tanned leather or black leather
What’s your favorite food?
Pizza and a beer
What is your biggest regret?
Not working out before this mission. Being a blacksmith in 1876 is an extremely strenuous job day in and day out. Angel magic does not cover physical attributes.
What do you most fear losing?
Chinoah. In the centuries that I’ve existed, I’ve never met anyone like her. Which is why I risked my status as a Warrior Angel to be with her. Warrior Angels and mortals are forbidden to form a relationship.
What keeps you up at night?
Failure of the mission. If we can’t find the demon before he alters the timeline, history as we know it is at risk.
What was your proudest moment?
Returning from a successful mission.
Who always makes you smile?
Chinoah. Even at her most stubborn, she will do something to make me smile. It may irritate the heck out of her, but…
Anything you’d like to say to your author?
Go with the flow, quit fighting us characters on changes. We know best about our life.
