He can’t escape the guilt.
Still recovering from his own injuries, Niall ‘Steel’ Ó Brion replays his last mission over and over in his mind. They’s been set up and he led his men into a trap. Three of his men died. It’s not his injuries or the end of his career that preoccupy him. The incessant chant of why, who, make it impossible for him to sleep. He won’t rest until he finds the answers and gets his revenge.
After three days in hiding, reporter Cybill Anthony runs again. The men trying to silence her for what she witnessed are hot on her trail. The independent ride share turns out to be more than she expected.
Can she trust her heart to Steel when he offers to protect her?
Why did you write this book?
Unforgiven is book four in a nine book series of short Romantic Suspense series. Regret and forgiveness are the two unrelenting emotions we all struggle with. Over and over we analyze what we could have done, should have done better. This is especially true of our military personnel. Many of my family have served and come back battling these feelings.
I was invited to join the Heart of the Wounded Hero series. My Hardcore Inc books are a spin off of my book Unscathed, from that series.
What is your favorite genre to read?
Romantic Suspense
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
Oh so many.. Gabriel Sinclair from Double Dealing by Jayne Castle: Dane Hollister from Dream Man by Linda Howard: Jack Reacher from Lee Child; Jack Ryan from Tom Clancy….
What are you working on at the moment?
Book five in the Hardcore series is Unseen. This will be Doc’s story. I’m also working on another sexy short for my upcoming New York Knights series.
What books will we see from you in coming months?
My as yet untitled New York Knights Christmas story will be out in December and Doc will be out early January. Make sure you sign up for my newsletter so you don’t miss the cover reveals and sneak peeks!

Take time for Heartsong Hills the new #SweetRomance by Wendy Rich Stetson @StetsonRiches #RLFblog #Amish
In Wendy Rich Stetson’s sweet romance, Heartsong Hills, Amish widow Nora Beiler discovers that sometimes to follow her heart, she has to break the rules. Coming October 19, 2022!
Wendy, welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Happy to have you here! Please tell us about Heartsong Hills.
Heartsong Hills by Wendy Rich Stetson
Genre Sweet Romance
Book heat level (based on movie ratings): PG
Amish girls don’t dance. Dancing is against the rules, and Nora Beiler always follows the rules…until a runaway logging truck shatters her world forever. Desperate to heal from the accident, she enrolls in Shuffle off to Fitness, an exercise class at the local senior center. She never dreamed it involved tap-dancing…or just how much she’d love to dance.
Exiled from Nashville, country music star Tucker McClure has no one to blame but himself. Weekly gigs at the local farmers’ market keep the demons at bay. The last thing he expects is to find himself in an old folks’ fitness class…dancing with a girl who makes him question everything he ever thought he wanted.
Will the past drive Nora and Tucker apart? Or can love bridge the gap between hearts and worlds?
Why did you write this book? After finishing Hometown, book 1 in my series, I knew I had to write Nora’s story next. If Hometown has a villain, it’s Nora. But no villain thinks of herself as a villain. She says what she says and does what she does out of love—and in Nora’s case, out of deep hurt caused by a tragedy in her past. After watching her brother Jonas find happiness, Nora deserved her own happily ever after, and she gets it in the most unexpected and delightful way.
What is your favorite genre to read? Do I have to choose??? I love romance of course, but I also love middle readers, YA, historical fiction, and romcoms!
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)? Lately, I’m obsessed with the audiobooks of Diana Gabaldon’s brilliant “Outlander” series. Davina Porter’s narration is brilliant, and I love Claire Fraser! I love her smarts and her resourcefulness and her spunk!
What are you working on at the moment? Shooting Sunshine, book 3 of the Hearts of the Ridge series is in the early stages. As with the other two, it will feature a romance between one Amish and one “English” character. I’m also in the editing phase of a middle reader ghost story which is lots of fun!
What books will we see from you in coming months? Look for Shooting Sunshine, next! I’m also working on a Hearts of the Ridge novella which I’ll give away free to my newsletter subscribers. In Heartsong Hills, readers get to know Amish pretzel maker Annie Amos. I think her rebellious youth and tempestuous love story will give fans of the series a big smile.

Read Curse of Wolf Falls, The MacKenzie Chronicles Book 3 the new #RomanticSuspense by Brenda Whiteside @brendawhitesid2 #RLFblog #FamilySaga
In Brenda Whiteside’s new Romantic Suspense, Curse of Wolf Falls, Elidor is determined to outrun the scavengers, guard the secret, and renew her love with Jules. But fate is coming after her, and there’s nowhere the couple can hide.
Brenda, welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Happy to have you here! Please tell us about Curse of Wolf Falls, The MacKenzie Chronicles Book 1.
Curse of Wolf Falls, The MacKenzie Chronicles Book 3 by Brenda Whiteside
Genre Romantic Suspense
Book heat level (based on movie ratings): R
Secrets can protect what the truth will destroy.
Elidor MacKenzie has a gift she can’t return—the ability to absorb the joy, pain, and suffering of others. She’s spent her life running from what she considers her curse. Now, her best friend is dead, and she alone holds the key to an archaeological discovery that could destroy a culture. With newfound inner peace, Elidor has returned home to make amends and guard the secret revelation. But greed-driven scavengers have followed her. Once again, the energies of Joshua will stir the hurricane, with her at the deadly center.
Jules never got over Elidor. Twenty years and a famous journalism career later, he’s back in Joshua—and so is his first love. If his heart can stand the torture, he’ll risk reviving their relationship. But saving Elidor from herself and the secret she won’t give up may be the death of them both.
With Jules by her side, Elidor is determined to outrun the scavengers, guard the secret, and renew their love. But fate is coming after her, and there’s nowhere the couple can hide.
Why did you write this book?
This book concludes The MacKenzie Chronicles. Three siblings grew up in Joshua, Arizona, the products of a hippie couple who settled there in the sixties. In Curse of Wolf Falls, Elidor, the youngest, has returned home to Joshua to come to grips with her inner demons and protect an archaeological find that would destroy a culture if discovered.
What is your favorite genre to read?
I love what I write and enjoy reading other Romantic Suspense books. I enjoy any suspense book that is character driven.
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
There are a few, but if I have to choose just one, I’ll say Detective Davenport from the Prey Series.
What are you working on at the moment?
I have two projects in the works. I am updating a series that I recently had the rights reverted back to me. I plan to self-publish under the Wild Horse Peaks Series. The other project has me venturing in to new waters. I am co-writing a Cozy Mystery series entitled The Chocolate Martini Sisters. I’m having great fun with this.
What books will we see from you in coming months?
I hope to release the first book in my Wild Horse Peaks Series shortly after the first of the year. And the first Chocolate Martini Sisters Mystery, Candy, Cigarettes, and Murder should be releasing in March.

Read Someone Cruel in Coyote Creek, the new humorous #Mystery by Kris Bock @Kris_Bock #RLFblog
Someone Cruel in Coyote Creek is third in Kris Bock’s Accidental Detective series. The series starts with Something Shady at Sunshine Haven, which introduces former war correspondent Kate Tessler, a witty journalist who solves mysteries in Arizona and tackles the challenges of turning fifty. Kate is still adjusting to her new underemployed life back in her childhood home in Phoenix when she receives an anonymous message claiming that Mayor Todd Paradise is taking bribes. Could good guy Todd, Kate’s almost boyfriend, really be corrupt or is someone trying to set him up? Kate sets out to discover the truth, with help from her multi-generational, unconventional, and often unhelpful crew.
Kris, welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Happy to have you here! Please tell us about Someone Cruel in Coyote Creek.
Someone Cruel in Coyote Creek by Kris Bock
Genre: humorous mystery
Book heat level (based on movie ratings): G
Turning fifty in her childhood bedroom wasn’t on her bucket list…
Kate Tessler is convinced her sister is trying to kill her. In fact, she might prefer death to Jen’s “50 for 50 Challenge,” where Kate will try fifty new things throughout the year she turns fifty. Still adjusting to her new underemployed life back in her childhood home in Phoenix, the last thing Kate wants is to prepare for paddle boarding, especially when she receives an anonymous message claiming that Mayor Todd Paradise is taking bribes. The author claims to have proof, including photos, and challenges Kate to publish the story.
Could good guy Todd, Kate’s almost boyfriend, really be corrupt or is someone trying to set him up? Kate sets out to discover the truth, with help from her multi-generational, unconventional, and often unhelpful crew. She thrived reporting from war zones as an international war correspondent, but can she survive a deadly fundraising party, a close encounter with a taser, a turn at an open mic night, and a hundred-pound dog named Whiskers?
Why did you write this book?
As I faced fifty, I wanted to create a mystery lead dealing with some of the same issues: aging parents, concerns about financing retirement, and a body that doesn’t recover like it once did.
What attracts you to this book’s genre?
Mysteries usually have an active plot, with lots going on. Humorous mysteries add quirky characters and fun dialog. Cozy mysteries or cozy-adjacent, like mine, also have a happy ending. You know you’ll get a good time and finish in a positive mood.
Is there an issue that you’re addressing with your book?
I didn’t specifically set out to educate or influence readers, but the Accidental Detective series does explore issues related to aging. Kate is dealing with the things a lot of us face in midlife: aging parents with health or memory problems, concerns about financing retirement someday, menopause, and a body that doesn’t recover like it once did. She has to figure out how to live with the new limitations from an injury that requires her to walk with a cane.
Kate’s father and his friends are also major characters. They are in their seventies and eighties and are active, intelligent, and a positive force in society. At the same time, the stories explore challenges older people face, such as loneliness, being treated as incapable, and the potential for abuse by family members. Maybe readers will think twice before making assumptions about older folks they see.
What’s a fun fact about your books?
I started in children’s literature. My first published book was a middle grade novel (for ages 9-12) called The Well of Sacrifice – historical drama set in ninth-century Mayan Guatemala. It still in print and used in schools when they teach the Maya.
I also have a short series about kids who travel with a ghost hunter TV show. My other 100+ books for kids are educational work for hire, both nonfiction and fiction I’ve been a ghostwriter for some popular children’s mystery series starring your favorite young detectives. I write for kids as Chris Eboch and MM Eboch.
What are you working on at the moment?
I’m working on the fourth book in an upcoming series about cowboy billionaires – specifically, a ranch family that finds out winning the lottery causes as many problems as it solves.
I’m also writing a series with my brother, scriptwriter Douglas J Eboch, who wrote the original screenplay for the movie Sweet Home Alabama. These are prequel novels set when the movie characters are teenagers. We follow the crazy antics of Melanie, Jake, and their friends a decade before the events of the movie. We just released book 3, Felony Melanie and the Prank War. Sign up for our romantic comedy newsletter to get a free short story or find book 1 at Amazon US, or B&N, or other E-book retailers.
What books will we see from you in coming months?
In the Accidental Detective series, Someone Missing from Malapais Mountain comes out in February of 2023, with two more to follow. The Billionaire Cowboy’s Christmas comes out November 8, with four more books next year.
