But most of all, you’ll find true romance. You’ll find kisses, and you’ll find promises.

Do you write more than one genre? If so, what are they?…
I write romance fiction. Within that genre, I write historical, paranormal and sci-fi romances.
How do you come up with ideas?…
Sometimes I dream the ideas. I wake up, write my dreams into my dream journal and a story forms out of that. Other times, I might come across a line from a song, or a scene from a movie, or I might overhear something someone said at the grocery store and I begin a “What if?” game and that might become a story. Then again, many other times, the characters simply pop into my head. Some of them are fully formed, some of them I have to discover more about. It’s an interesting process.
What is the single most important part of writing for you?…
Exploring my creativity. Writing relaxes me. It excites me. It’s also a form of therapy. I’ve been creating stories for fun since I was a kid, so writing to me is akin to breathing.
When did you write your first book?…
I wrote lots of short stories when I was little. But, I finished my first full-length novel when I was 15. It was a fantasy romance about a young girl who fell through a portal into another world.FUN

Tricia Schneider is an author of paranormal and historical romance. Sometimes, when I really think about it, I can almost feel the way the breeze felt against my skin that day. How it washed over me, cooling my heated skin.
I remember counting the minutes it took to get to my boyfriend’s house. Twenty-two, but it took twenty-three that day. Maybe the extra minute was a warning.
One I didn’t heed, of course.
I wanted love. It’s all I wanted. I would have done anything for it.
It made me an easy victim.
Tell me I’m pretty here, hug me there and I was a puppet on his string. He pulled and pulled until he asked me to do the one thing I absolutely could not do.
It broke me to tell him no. Tore me up. I went over to his house that day to try and find a way to make it up to him. To fix what I broke.
Minute nineteen.
Cool breeze. Sunshine. Hope for love, fear I ruined my chance at it by being disobedient.
Minute twenty.
Black. One minute was all it took for Sage Briar-Rose to cease to exist.
To shatter her.
This is the story of how I lost myself. The story of how my naive search for love left me shattered.

Why did you write this book?
For so many reasons, the most prominent being the subject matter is one VERY close to my heart. I’ve wanted to write on the topic for years and finally find the woman who’s story it belonged to.
What is your favorite genre to read?
Oh, dark romance 100%!
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
This is SO HARD! Oh my gosh. I have to say Abby from Dark Light of Day. I really connect with her on so many levels.
What are you working on at the moment?
It’s a secret! ;)
What books will we see from you in coming months?
The next book up will be the sequel to Shattered, Accepted and Rebuilt, which is actually already up for pre-order. After that I will be doing a couple more spin-offs from my Roses and Thorns series before diving into something new.Where to buy Shattered

Jolt Somber was the name the cyborg picked for himself. He was created to be a killer and his creators reinforced his killer instinct by flooding him with feel-good endorphins. For eighty years he fought the Mesaarkans at Vyken Dark’s side. He and four genetic cyborg brothers returned to Earth to help restore civilization after the war had ended.
Jolt is supervising demolition in the ruins of Farringay to build a new starport. The war left Earth in ruins with cities ruled by overlords with gangs of thugs as enforcers. Violence against women is rampant.When Jolt finds his one genetic female mate used and left for dead by gangers, the pleasure he takes in avenging her could have unexpected repercussions.
After what males had done to her, would she ever accept Jolt as her mate?
Author’s Note: While rape is discussed in the aftermath, the story begins after it has occurred.
Why did you write this book?
I fell in love with cyborgs after I read Cynthia Sax’s Cyborg Sizzle series. Then I started reading other steamy cyborg romance series. I picked up a lot of cyborg lore in all the different stories I read. It was time to write something new, and I had created this post-apocalyptic Earth for my Aledan Series. A plot for a prequel cyborg series began to form and Vyken Dark was born. Jolt Somber is the second in the series and there will be at least one more.
What is your favorite genre to read?

Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
It’s really hard to pick just one. Generally, it is one that I am currently reading. This week it was. This week it was Balthazar in Marie Dry’s Dawn of the Cyborg. Generally, I have favorite series. I generally favor the cyborgs.
What are you working on at the moment?
I am in the planning stage of the next Cyborg awakening story centered on a character introduced in Jolt Somber.
What books will we see from you in coming months?

Chris Myers has been a science fiction fan since seeing the original “Day the Earth Stood Still” at age eight. Her favorite sub-genre is space opera romance. Among the most influential in her work are the Lazarus Long novels by Robert Heinlein including “Time Enough for Love”, Marta Randall’s “Journey” and of course “Star Wars”, everything “Star Trek” and “Firefly”.
A lifelong resident of Silver Lake, NY she wrote her first novella at age fifteen. She has a BA in Cultural Studies from Empire State College majoring in creative writing. She wrote a regular column in the local weekly newspaper “Perry Herald” for several years. Chris has written six novels in The Aledan Series and two novellas in the Cyborg Awakening Series
