Dame Audrey by Aurora Springer
Genre Medieval Romance
Book heat level (based on movie ratings): PG13
Young widow seeks true love in this vivid Medieval romance with a touch of fantasy
In fourteenth century Britain, Dame Audrey cherishes her independence as the widow of a wealthy cloth merchant. But some of the wealthier traders covet her profitable business and she fears they will invoke the Abbot’s authority to compel her to marry a man of their choice. Her worst nightmare is suffering under a cruel husband like the hateful jeweler, Henry Goldsmith, who has threatened to curb her lively spirits.
Audrey joins a pilgrimage to Glastonbury to pray for guidance. The holy relics give her no inspiration nor do her fellow travelers. On the homeward journey, she aids the dying victim of a brutal robbery. She wins the stranger’s blessing and a gold brooch with a green dragon. Back in her hometown, the faerie brooch attracts trouble from thieves of all ranks and the attentions of a handsome yeoman, Selwyn Drake. As her nightmare looms nearer, she grows desperate to preserve her freedom.
Can the magic brooch help Audrey evade the schemes to force her into wedlock or must she submit to a husband’s will?
QUICK
Do you write more than one genre? If so, what are they?…
Yes. I have published science fiction and fantasy adventures and romances. Dame Audrey is the first historical romance I have written.
How do you come up with ideas?…
Sometimes, I find them in my dreams. Once I have an idea of a scene with the two main characters, I let them loose to interact.
What is the single most important part of writing for you?…
I enjoy the ability to create vivid characters and fantastic new worlds.
When did you write your first book?…
More than thirty years ago, I wrote an entire science fiction romance novel. I finally typed the handwritten story into a digital file and published The Lady is Blue in 2014.

Read the new Sommerville Days by Vicki Batman @VickiBatman #RLFblog #smalltownromance
Vicki Batman, welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Happy to have you here! Please tell us about your book.
Sommerville days by Vicki Batman
Genre: small town romance
Book heat level (based on movie ratings): PG
Love blossoms in the small town of Sommerville in these heartwarming tales, filled with fun and forever possibilities.
Store Wars: The competition is heating up when Janie’s old flame returns to town and is running his family’s store. Could following dreams break her heart?
Raving Beauty: What if the love of your life was in front of you all along?
San Diego or Bust: When a young woman plans a romantic getaway with her boyfriend, disaster strikes—is her Mr. Right the right Mr. Right?
QUICK
Do you write more than one genre? If so, what are they?…
Not technically. Even though I classified the stories in Sommerville days as small town romance, they are also romantic comedies. I write romantic comedy mysteries, too.
How do you come up with ideas?…
Lordy, stuff just smacks me sometimes, especially when people say crazy things. Once, I answered a question for an author interview–“what are two things no one knows about you.” And the answer/confession? I was Miss Oak Lawn Moped.
Way back when, my college friend owned a moped shop. We went to a party with my roommate, and after a few margaritas, he asked me to represent his store in a beauty contest. I blame the margaritas. I was weak and said yes.
So, when two writer friends saw my answer about being Miss Oak Lawn Moped, they said I should write a story which I did and titled it “Raving Beauty.”
BTW, the other answer? I am in a music video. LOLOL. I used to tell the boys I bet none of their moms were in a music video.
What is the single most important part of writing for you?…
Just writing. I have too much fun making up stuff.
When did you write your first book?…
My first book, Temporarily Employed, was started in the spring of 2003. I’d been traveling with girlfriends, and on the way home, one wanted to play car games to break the monotony. Mostly, we had to answer crazy questions, for example, pick one—Tom Jones or Englebert Humperdink. Then, she asked, “Write the opening paragraph of a book using the word window?”
My friend knew I had an urge to write. But to answer her question? I had nothing as I was fearful I would sound stupid. I got the okay to send an email with my answer. Her question bugged me. One day, I sat down and wrote eight chapters. I showed my friend who told me to keep going. I did.
FUN
Leather or lace? Leather handbags
Black or red? I love red but wear black.
Satin sheets or smooth cotton? Cotton
Ocean or mountains? Mountains
City life or country life? City life!
Party life or evening at home? Evening at home
Dogs or cats? Both!

Where there’s a will, there’s wicked fun…
Drowning in bad luck, Cari doesn’t know where to turn when the unexpected happens. A loyal customer at her Key West café has left her an inheritance. She hopes for cash to save her restaurant, but receives an old brass bottle that looks like a sex toy…and has Jez inside.
At six-four, he’s built like a gladiator, has looks to die for, and oozes sexuality. He’s also a jinn.
Color her enthralled and excited. Besides being one hot dude, he grants wishes, right?
Not for her. Ironclad tradition demands he serve men, not women. Of course, if she wants to get down and dirty with him, he’ll gladly oblige.
Let the battle of the sexes begin. Before long, their differences fall away as they indulge in every lusty desire, while falling hard and fast. Ah, paradise. Until trouble arrives, threatening to pull them apart forever…QUICK
Do you write more than one genre?
Yes
If so, what are they?…
Erotic, erotica, contemporary, historical, paranormal, scifi, suspense, romantic comedy (romcom), urban fantasy
How do you come up with ideas?…
Honestly, they just pop into my head. I see scenes, like in a movie, and then my ideas start flowing around a plot. Sometimes, I think ‘what if…’ Such as, what if paranormal creatures needed a makeover service as much as humans so the paras could snag a date?
What is the single most important part of writing for you?…
Thinking. Imagining. Envisioning. If I don’t see it in my head first, it doesn’t come out well on the page.
When did you write your first book?…
I was nine. I called it ‘Dimples the Adventurous Flea’ about a flea that hopped from dog to dog (French poodle to English bulldog to Irish settler) in order to ‘see the world’.FUN

Only a Good Man Will Do by Dee S Knight @DeeSKnight #RLFblog #Romance #WritingCommunity @BookClubPro1
Dee S Knight, welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Happy to have you here! Please tell us about your book.
Only a Good Man Will Do by Dee S Knight
Genre Erotic romance
Book heat level (based on movie ratings): R
Seriously ambitious man seeks woman to encourage his goals, support his (hopeful) position as Headmaster of Westover Academy, and be purer than Caesar’s wife. Good luck with that!
Daniel Goodman is a man on a mission. He aims to become headmaster of Westover Academy. For that he needs a particular, special woman to help him set high standards. Into his cut and dried life of moral and upright behavior, comes Eve Star, formerly one of Europe’s foremost exotic dancers. Her life is anything but cut and dried, black and white. Daniel is drawn to her like a kid to chocolate. Nothing good can come of this attraction. Or can it? He is after all, a good man.
What’s your favorite hashtag to watch on Twitter?
@GBPDaily
It’s not that I’m the world’s greatest Green Bay Packers fan, and by that I mean I don’t really know diddly about football in general, but I like Green Bay. I like that the fans own the team and how loyal they are. And we lived outside Green Bay for a while and I love the area. Actually, I am interested in most of the teams that represent the areas where (or near where) we’ve lived. So that includes Chicago Bears, Kansas City Chiefs, San Francisco 49ers, Washington Redskins, and Carolina Panthers. So see? My “fanship” is spread out quite a bit. There is one exception to the “root for the home team” rule, but I’m not saying what it is.
Describe the perfect vacation.
First and foremost, being with my honey. Doing anything and being anywhere is a vacation if we’re together. But it’s fun if we’re somewhere new, where there are things to see but comfortable places to return to, also. We’re of an age where an afternoon nap is fun, so we don’t go where the action is non-stop anymore. We like theatre and museums and such, not theme parks. Flying anywhere is too much hassle, so we tend to go places where we can drive. Old truckers never lose the driving bug!
Tell us about your favorite toy as a child.
I had a little stuffed monkey, light brown with a hard face. He was on a stretch of elastic and I dragged him around everywhere! My mom still has him.
What are your hobbies?
Reading is the best hobby of all! I used to do counted cross stitch and some crewel work, but then writing and working seemed to take up most of my time.
What kinds of things do you read when you’re researching a new book?
I’ve collected travel magazines and points of interest brochures from places we’ve traveled over the years and use them for reference, along with maps. And of course, I use all kinds of sources on the Internet, including Wikipedia and travel sites. Since we traveled so much while trucking, I draw a lot on personal experience for locations, but for things like city size and street names and such, I go to their pages online.Where to buy Only a Good Man Will Do
