    My Zombie Fiancé a new #paranormal by @AuthorTStrange #RLFblog

This quick interview includes info about the author, and introduces the story.
    About the Author
    T. Strange didn’t want to learn how to read, but literacy prevailed and she hasn’t stopped reading—or writing—since. She’s been published with Torquere Press since 2013, and she writes M/M romance in multiple genres, including paranormal and BDSM. T.’s other interests include cross stitching, gardening, watching terrible horror movies, playing video games, and finding injured pigeons to rescue. Originally from White Rock, BC, she lives on the Canadian prairies, where she shares her home with her wife, cats, guinea pigs and other creatures of all shapes and sizes. She’s very easy to bribe with free food and drinks—especially wine.
    Interview with T. Strange
Why did you write this book?
I didn’t feel that Kit and Edward’s story was finished after My Zombie Boyfriend, and I wanted to explore their relationship and Edward’s abilities further.
What is your favorite genre to read?
M/M, for sure, and within that I like urban fantasy and (surprise surprise!) paranormal.
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
    Bilbo Baggins!
What are you working on at the moment, and will see from you in coming months?
I don’t know about the next few months, but I have three novels on the go right now. The closest to completion is a dark sci-fi novel about two men on a hostile alien planet. I’m also working on the third book in the Undead Canadian series, My Zombie Wedding, and another paranormal book with entirely different characters!
Please tell us about your latest book.
Edward Grey is no stranger to the undead; since raising his cat as a zombie when he was a child, he and his mentor Mariel have explored and developed his power as a necromancer. Despite everything he’s learned, as a necromancer and a medical student, he’s never encountered a ghost.
While Mariel is unreachable in Haiti on mysterious business, a ghost wakes Edward in the middle of the night, claiming to be his grandfather. When the ghost offers to teach him about this different form of undeath, Edward has little choice but to trust the spirit.
After receiving a phone call from a young girl claiming her father is possessed, Edward and his Undead Canadian fiancé, Kit, must travel to an acreage in Kingston…Ontario.
The haunting proves far more complicated than Edward could ever have guessed, and he finds himself pitted against an ancient evil determined to engulf everyone on the farm.
Edward’s love and connection to Kit will be tested, and his necromancy stretched to his limits as he has to find—and destroy—a twisted spirit more powerful than anything he’s ever encountered.

Meet Damon Cubins from Claimed #pnr @andreaRcooper #RLFblog

Meet Damon Dubins from Claimed by Andrea Cooper.

    Author Bio

Andrea has always created characters and stories. But it wasn’t until she was in her late twenties that she started writing novels.
What happened that ignited the writing flame in her fingers? Divorced, and disillusioned by love songs and stories. They exaggerate. She thought. Love and Romance are not like that in the real world. Then she met her husband and realized, yes love and romance are exactly like the songs and stories say. She is now a happy wife, and a mom to three kids (two boys and a girl).
Andrea writes paranormal and historical romance. When not writing or reading, one may find Andrea dancing in Zumba.
She believes in the power of change and counting each moment as a blessing. But most importantly, she believes in love.

    Introducing Damon Cubins

Welcome to Romance Lives Forever! We’re happy to have you here today.
    Name: Damon Cubins
    Age:     5,000 years old
    Gender: Male
    Birthplace:  Greece
    Profession:  Archeologist
    Ethnicity/Species (if not human):  Incubus
Describe your body and build, skin tone, height and weight. Include any unique features such as dimples, freckles, or scars.
I’m an Incubus. Muscled and fit without working out. My species is made to seduce women and feed off their sexual auras. I’m blond, six foot four and weigh 200lbs. I’ve no scars or blemishes though Renee says I have a dimple when I smile, but I don’t believe her.
Who is the significant other in your life?
Renee Maxwell. My intern archeological assistant and one who challenged me at every turn.
Please tell us a little about yourself.
On what special skills do you rely?
My Incubus powers. I’m able to pour seduction into my voice, visit a woman when she’s sleeping, and charm a stadium of nuns if I wanted.
    Do you have children?
Not yet. As an Incubus, I can control when my mate could get pregnant or not.
Do you see morality as black-and-white, or with shades of gray?
I used to see morality as a kaleidoscope of colors. Then I fell in love for the first time and my world changed. I changed.
Do you care about what others assume about you?
No, but I do care what Renee assumes about me.
What secrets do you know about people around you that you do NOT share?
Everyone has secret desires. Even if they don’t admit it to themselves.
What past event causes you the most fear?
My fiancée died of sudden cardiac arrest from my power. Maybe it would’ve happened anyway when she was going up a flight of stairs or something, but I lived every day afterward, until I met Renee, that I was the cause of her death.
    What is your biggest need?
I needed the crystal to keep from turning into a full-demon.
What is your biggest personal flaw?
I’m an Incubus. I have no flaws.
Who in your life has the power to hurt you the most and why?
Renee. If I lost her, I wouldn’t be the same. She brought love back into my life and helped me discover that I was empty without her.
What would you like people who hear your story to know?
That love can concur against unsurmountable odds.

Meet Sheriff Jack Lang from Take These Broken Wings #pnr @LiviaQuinn #RLFblog

Meet Sheriff Jack Lang from Take These Broken Wings by Livia Quinn.

    About the Book

Title Take These Broken Wings, Destiny Paramortals, Book 5
    Genre Paranormal Romance
Book heat level (based on movie ratings): PG13
Destiny. Is it Mayberry or Middle Earth?
Jack Lang knows first hand about Destiny’s secrets. Turns out he was one of them. On Mardi Gras Eve he and his unlikely band of heroes defeated some particularly nasty creatures intent on taking advantage of the Paramortals’ vulnerability during the Chaos. They called it Chaos because the word “Armageddon” was already taken. Destiny survived with the help of their dragon and some special friends, then Jack received the biggest shocks of his life. And that was saying a lot.
He’d chosen this town the year before for the normalcy and safety it could provide his teenager after a life of upheaval with his ex. He’d been looking for Mayberry. Instead he’d found, not a town, but a world full of magical beings, odd occurrences, and scary creatures. There’d been one shock after another and yet, instead of leaving and taking Jordie somewhere “safe”… he’d stayed.
Now he suspected he felt the pull of this special place long before he’d known it existed. But that hadn’t been the only reason. It had all begun the first time he’d seen Tempest Pomeroy. That was when his world had turned upside down—along with half the town. He’d surprised himself with his acceptance of the supernatural. He’d even almost accepted this latest blow, but that had been before he found out he no longer belonged anywhere. Not with humans, and not among supernaturals. Something had gone haywire in his family DNA.
Now he’s abandoned the women in his life, his responsibilities–everything except for the need to quench the gnawing hunger in his gut and this compulsion to jump off the highest levees in the parish. He was just sorry there were no mountains in Louisiana.

    Introducing Sheriff Jack Lang

Welcome to Romance Lives Forever! We’re happy to have you here today.
Thanks, it’s good to be here. I’m Jack Lang, thirty-three, former Navy pilot, now Sheriff of Destiny, Louisiana. I have a spunky, beautiful fifteen year old daughter named Jordie.
    Ethnicity/Species (if not human):
Hmm, great question, actually. I always thought I was human, or maybe I still am, in addition to being a dragon. I guess you could say things are in “transition”.
Describe your body and build, skin tone, height and weight. Include any unique features such as dimples, freckles, or scars:
I used to be around 6′ 2″, dark complected, brown hair and green eyes but I’ve gotten taller and more muscular recently. When I shift, I turn into a big sparkly dragon with silver eyes.
    Who is your significant other.
Five months ago, I would have told you it was Tempe. Now, I could be in the dog…er…  dragon house…cave. My life has kinda gone FUBAR.
Tell us a little about yourself.
After getting full custody of my daughter, my parents suggested I run for sheriff in Destiny. I figured it would be the perfect (normal) place to recover from the craziness of our life with my ex, Georgeanne.
    I was wrong.
Please tell us about your education.
I signed up for the U.S. Navy as soon as I graduated and within two years was doing what I always wanted to do. Fly. I knew the Navy would supply everything I desired – travel, education, a career and women. I figured those would be the most important things in my life. Then my daughter Jordie came along.
Do you get by, live comfortably, live extravagantly?
I live simply because nothing matters but keeping Jordie safe and providing for her needs, but that hasn’t been simple. Nothing’s simple when it comes to G-Crazy.
On what special skills do you rely?
Until recently, the only special skill I had was flying, but then I was blindsided with this quickening thing and now I can’t even do that.
Are any of your skills a source of pride or embarrassment, and if so, which ones and why?
Definitely embarrassment. This new form I’ve taken on, though it’s not exactly a skill, well, I should have more control over it. When Conor shifts he morphs into an awesome dragon knight with these giant swords strapped to his shoulders. Me? I just wind up naked as a jaybird. And what good is a dragon that can’t breathe fire, or fly? Embarrassing is not the word.
    How do you dress?
Nothing exciting. I wear a sheriff’s uniform, unless I’ve just shifted, then… see the previous question.
How well do you know your neighbors?
Ha! Neighbors. Is that a euphemism for crazy supernaturals? Cause that’s what my town is all about. I know a heck of a lot more now that I did six months ago when I moved here thinking it was a quaint, ordinary town for Jordie. Seriously, I was thinking “Mayberry”. But instead, I found Middle Earth.
    What is your breaking point?
I didn’t think I had one, until I met Tempest Pomeroy and the citizens of Destiny.
But that was then… now, I think I overestimated my own resilience, and possibly my mental stability.
Do you see morality as black-and-white, or with shades of gray?
Black and white was the old Jack. Things were so much simpler then; now it seems I see nothing but gray. I’m having a hard time with change, and my relationships with Tempe and my daughter are suffering. If I don’t get it together soon, I’m going to lose everything.

    About the Book

    Genre Erotic Vampire Romance

After more than a century sharing a bed and fighting at each other’s backs, vampire warriors Blair and May have forged an unbreakable bond.
Now the mysterious New Reign is seeking additional members. Their philosophy–recruit or destroy. Using mind manipulation, they stir up dark memories from the past to tempt Blair and May into killing each other.
Given the chance to resurrect his murdered first wife and children, will Blair now sacrifice the woman he loves–his wife and blood child, May?Stressing The Heroine

Every heroine has a story. She has a background, a history, and a past. This interview allows us to meet a heroine and get to know her better, by focusing on how she handles being relaxed, as well as how she handles stress.

    The Heroine’s Relaxed Side

This heroine is at a party. Considering her story, describe the party.
The party is located at the Cock and the Pussy Willow, an exclusive vampire club in London. It’s a masquerade party and takes place in the lounge section of the club. May and her husband, Blair, are dressed in 1920s attire that they have actually kept in storage from that era.
How does the heroine feel about being this particular party, and what body language is she displaying that gives it away?
May is enjoying herself immensely. Many of her and Blair’s old friends are at the party and she is spending time, relaxing on one of the couches or dancing with Blair.
Is she more likely to mingle or remain aloof?
May enjoys mingling with her friends. She likes to have fun, but she doesn’t feel the need to be the center of attention. She’ll dance and share jokes, but won’t make a spectacle of herself.
If she drinks, what is her drink of choice at this party?
Like most vampires, she has a taste for blood-laced wine.
How much drink is her usual?
She’ll have one or two. Neither May nor Blair drink to excess.
The heroine figures out where the hiding places are and then goes there. Is it to hide, to avoid someone, or to go drag a friend back to the party?
It’s to share some private moments with her husband, Blair. They’ve been hanging around the Cock and the Pussy Willow for so many decades that they know the best hiding spots.
Is she likely to latch onto a friend and stay with him/her and ignore others, or is she the friend that others latch onto?
She and Blair are quite close and will probably be together for most of the party. They’ll also spend time with their friends, in particular the club’s owner, Daria, and Blair’s blood father, Hamilton. Typically, May isn’t the sort to latch on to others.
If someone picked a fight at this party, how is the heroine going to handle it?
It depends on who’s involved. She might jump in to help or she might ignore it completely.
Is the heroine the one most likely to get tossed out of the party, or the one who does the tossing?
Again, it depends. If she and Blair get into an argument, Daria might toss them both out.
Will she know when to leave, or stay late and make a nuisance of herself?
May not only will know when to leave, but she and Blair will might say goodnight early, depending on their plans or if they get called away on duty.

    The Heroine’s Stressed Out Side

How does the heroine handle it if the cops or some other authority figure pulls her aside when she was blameless in a situation?
May is a warrior in the battle against evil vampires, so usually she and Blair are the authority figures. Daria rules the vampire warriors of London, so if she called May out, May would be respectful, but she wouldn’t be shy about explaining her side of the story. It’s happened many times before.
How does the heroine react to hearing a scream?
May’s first instinct is to investigate. She’s always prepared to handle a potentially dangerous situation.
If she sees someone being assaulted, what is the FIRST thing that crosses her mind?
Stop the fight and find out what’s going on.
If she sees someone being assaulted, what is the FIRST thing she does?
She’ll most likely do what crosses her mind and step in, especially if she sees a vampire attacking a human.
This heroine attempts to rescue someone and realizes that she is in over her head. The odds are against her and there is no way out. She is going to get her butt handed to her. What does she do?
May won’t go down without a fight. She’ll do her best to hold them off while sending out a telepathic call for backup. Hopefully Blair, Daria or another warrior will be nearby to help.
The heroine runs into the one person from her past she wanted to avoid. She can’t get out of the situation and must interact with him/her in some way. What does she do?
The leader of the New Reign is someone she never wants to meet again, but if she does, she’ll stand her ground and use the psychic skills she has learned from Blair, Disdain and her other mentors to prevent him from manipulating her mind.
Someone younger than the heroine is in charge of the situation, and they are handling it badly, perhaps bungling things. How does the heroine deal with it?
She’ll do her best to help them because not too long ago (at least by vampire standards), she was the overzealous novice in need of help. May will attempt to be discreet at first, taking the person aside, if possible, to offer advice. If they refuse, she might let them get into trouble so they’ll learn from their own mistakes, or if it’s a dangerous situation, she’ll overrule their decisions and do what she must to keep people safe.
The heroine is in physical pain but must bear up under it and keep going. What does she tell herself in order to get through the situation?
This happened recently when May suffered a gunshot wound. It wasn’t serious, but painful. She continued fighting and managed to subdue her enemy. She told herself to rely on her training, not to mention she had a personal grudge against this person that made her refuse to give in.
What mentor’s words come to mind in a bad situation?
She has had several excellent mentors, so it would depend on the exact situation. If faced with the leader of the New Reign, she’ll most likely rely on the teachings of Disdain, however.
What lesson from her past gets her through a stressful situation?
When she first met Blair, she was a victim of the way society treated lower class women during that era. Blair taught her how to defend herself and that she could do just about anything she put her mind to. It’s that lesson that has not only helped her survive many difficult situations, but has also saved Blair’s life on several occasions.

Knights of Stone: Bryce a new #pnr by @lisacbooks #RLFblog

USA Today bestselling author Lisa Carlisle loves stories with dark, brooding heroes and independent heroines. She’s honored to be a multi-published author writing in different genres since she’s wanted to be a writer since the sixth grade.  For much of her professional career, she’s written non-fiction — but she’s discovered writing romance is the most fun. Her romances have been named Top Picks at Night Owl Reviews and All Romance Ebooks.
When she was younger, she worked in a variety of jobs, moving to various countries. She was deployed to Okinawa, Japan, while in the military; backpacked alone through Europe;  and lived in Paris before returning to the U.S. She owned a bookstore for a few years as she loves to read. She’s now married to a fantastic man, and they have two kids, two kittens, and too many fish.

    Interview with Lisa Carlisle

Why did you write this book?
I’ve always had a thing for gargoyles. I envisioned writing a story about five statues; the story begins when one begins to move. That story bloomed into a much larger world—one on a mystical Scottish island with five gargoyle shifter brothers. I wrote the first book, Knights of Stone: Mason, and was thrilled and surprised when readers asked for more. Of course, I was happy to comply and ideas began spinning for each brother. Bryce is the second oldest brother and the beta of the gargoyle clan. He’s content as his role as second—until he meets Mairi and his entire world changes.
What is your favorite genre to read?
I enjoy reading romance, mysteries, and nonfiction, but the last year I’ve read many shifter romances.
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
I’m drawn to dark, brooding characters, like Heathcliff in Wuthering Heights, or Snape in the Harry Potter books.
What are you working on at the moment, and will see from you in coming months?
For 2016, my main focus is on stories for each brother in the Knights of Stone, but I’m also working on other paranormal and military romances. I’m also in three upcoming, multi-author boxed sets.
Please tell us about your latest book.
What happens when love interferes with plans, during the most unfortunate of times?
Gargoyle shifter, and the last of her clan, Mairi, is running for her life, desperate to keep hidden. When she spots two winged creatures flying high above her in the Highlands of Scotland, she momentarily panics, thinking they’re the same beasts who murdered her family along with her entire clan. Realizing they’re gargoyles like her, she takes flight and discreetly follows them to an island.
Bryce, beta of his clan and drummer for the Knights of Stone, senses something is amiss on the Isle of Stone. At first, he believes he’s merely discomfited by the rumors of atrocities occurring in the Highlands. However, he discovers an intruder on the magically-concealed island home. Once he ascertains that the flame-haired beauty is the sole survivor of a traumatizing attack, he returns to the Highlands to warn his former clan.
Somewhere between cautioning the clan and realizing the necessity of destroying the beasts that threaten them all, Mairi and Bryce discover an attraction that quickly evolves into a consuming passion. A problem even greater than the murderous fiends becomes apparent – the love they share may not survive the battle.
