    Moonlight Masquerade
5 Easy Questions is an interview is designed to be quick,
easy, and fun. Today’s guest is Raine Delight.
    What is your go-to meal
to order when you dine out? Your favorite “I know it will hit the spot”
    item.
If I am at Olive Garden, I always get Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo
as it is one of my favorites there and I just love their Alfredo sauce.
    Who is your “book
boyfriend”? You know, that hottie you read about and drool over.
Oh lord I have to pick just one??? Do you know how hard that
is for me. *laughs* Well my all time favorite is Roarke from J.D. Robb’s In Death
Series. This character hits all my love buttons and then some.
    What were you like when
    you were in school?
Oh lord have mercy, I was that nerd who liked school and got
school credit for volunteering in the school library all four years of High School.
    Would you rather stay
inside and watch snow falling, or get out in it and build a snowman?
For myself, I am not much of a cold weather person so I like
to stay indoors and watch the snow fall while I read a book. My kids sometimes drag
me out to help them in the winter to build snowmen or go sledding.
    What was the last movie
    you watched (home or theater)?
Last movies were X-Men: Days of Future Past as well as The Amazing
Spiderman at the local drive-in. X-men was really, really awesome and the new spiderman
was okay though I am not a big spiderman fan.

    About the Character

    Name: Jamie Charles
    Age: 31
    Gender: Female
    Birthplace: Cleveland,
    Ohio
    Profession: Artist/Bartender
    Ethnicity: Caucasian
Describe her body build, skin tone, height and weight. Include
any unique features such as dimples, freckles, or scars: Jamie is average height
with a curvy, well-toned body. Jamie has a nose piercing, tattoos and fair skin.
At the beginning of the story her hair is long and black and she favors dramatic
eyes shadow and lipstick. Later in the book she changes her style a bit.
    Who is the significant
    other in your character’s life?
Miles Copeland. He’s dreamy, handsome, speaks his mind and it
quite persistent. He isn’t afraid of Jamie’s tough, scarred exterior and he’s determined
to win her heart. Thankfully, he succeeds.
    How does your heroine
    dress?
In the beginning of the book, Jamie favors a darker, edgier look.
I’d describe it as Goth Girl Meets Motorcycle Chick. It fits her mood and the image
she wants to project to the world. She relishes the fact that people find her unapproachable.
    How educated is this character?
Is she book smart, self-taught, widely-experienced?
Jamie is a smart girl but she is self-taught and street smart.
She is capable of much more, but deep down she holds the belief that she doesn’t
    deserve more.
Does she scrape by, live comfortably, live extravagantly?
Jamie is your typical starving artist,
in many ways, but she’s comfortable with her life as it is. However, when she starts
dating Miles she becomes more aware of what she doesn’t have. The difference in
their income levels does add to her insecurities.
What does she have a knack
    for doing?
Jamie is a talented artist. She’s especially skilled at drawing
and painting. When she was ten-years-old, the man who Jamie considers to be her
father bought her art supplies after she got in trouble for drawing on a desk at
    school.
    What is your character’s
    family like?
Jamie comes from a broken home and had a very difficult childhood.
Her father left home when she was about ten. Her mother was an alcoholic and drug
addict. Jamie had planned to run away from home at thirteen, but her best friend’s
family took her in and became her legal guardians. She loves them and is fiercely
loyal to them. Yet, she trusts few other people.
    Is she close to family?
Jamie is very close to her adopted
family. However, she hasn’t seen her biological father since she was ten and hasn’t
seen her biological mother in more than fifteen years.
    If someone from your character’s
past showed up, who would she NOT want it to be, and why?
The last person in the world that Jamie
would want to see is her biological mother, Josephine Charles. Yet, near the outset
of the story, that is exactly what happens. Josephine is trying to get her life
together and wants to make amends with Jamie. This sets off a series of events in
which Jamie is forced to deal with extremely painful secrets from her past that
neither she nor Josephine are truly prepared to face.
    Can your heroine keep
    a secret?
Yes. Jamie has kept lots of secrets for the two women she considers
her sisters. However, the biggest secret she’s been keeping is about what happened
to her as a young girl. It’s slowly been eating away at her, like a poison, and
making it difficult for her to form a true connection with or trust people outside
    of her small circle.
    What inner doubt causes
    your character the most difficulty?
Being abandoned by her father without so much as a word and watching
her mother choose the man who hurt her over her has left Jamie with the belief that
she is unlovable. She behaves accordingly and avoids relationships at all costs.
Until she met Miles, she was content to live her life this way. Being loved by him
slowly changes her perspective on the matter and her self-perception.

About Your Writer: Questions for your character to answer about you.

    Why do you think your
writer chose to write about you?
I was a minor character in her debut novel, Making the First
Move, but we really hit it off. To be honest, she was sort of fascinated with me.
She needed to understand what made me tick and to see it all play out. I think she
was also a little taken with Miles and wanted to go back and write our love story
as her way of secretly getting to spend some alone time with him.
    What do you wish your
writer had not told others about you?
There are lots of things in my past that are painful and that
I’m not especially proud of. Reese put it all out there. Honestly, I didn’t appreciate
it initially. Yet, if she hadn’t I’d never have been able to truly love Miles. So
I thank her for that. I also hope my story gives hope to other women who might be
suffering from insecurity, self-loathing and self-doubt in the wake of a sexual
    assault.
    Was there anything your
writer discovered about you that was a surprise to one or both of you?
Learning the truth regarding my deeply-held beliefs about myself
came as a surprise to me. I go on quite a journey of self-discovery and self-acceptance
in this story. However, I think Reese was just as surprised by the reasons behind
some of my bad choices. This book was a collaboration between the two of us. I’m
pretty sure my name should be listed as fictional co-author.
    What other character from
your book do you think your writer should write a book about? Care to tell us why?
There are three other characters in my story who also deserve
their own happy endings: my friend, Lisa who works with me; Miles’s little sister,
Kari; and my other childhood friend, Xavier Hunt. There are some very emotional
scenes between Ex and me in this story. Ex deserves to find a woman who will love
him the way he deserves. Several readers have requested his story, so I hope Reese
is sitting in her chair, plotting his story out right now.

    Author Bio

Reese Ryan writes sexy, contemporary fiction filled with colorful
characters and sinfully-sweet romance. She secretly enjoys torturing her heroines
with family and career drama, reformed bad boys, revealed secrets, and the occasional
identity crisis, but always rewards them with a happily ever after.

    Interview with Honor Castillo

    Tell us about yourself,
    please.
I’m a successful Hispanic businessman in San Antonio. I’m married to my college sweetheart,
Rebecca, and we have a son, Michael.
What is it that you want,
but cannot have? Authors call this the conflict of the story.
All my life I’ve wanted to just be who and what I was. Gay.
    What’s your internal limitation?
Meaning, what is it about you that makes it so you cannot do what it is you need
    to do during this story?
My love and loyalty to my wife and son. My fear of losing my
family if I came out of the closet. My fear and shame that was beaten into me by
my father when I was a boy, though, has been one of the biggest nails on my closet
    door.
    What inner doubt causes
    you the most difficulty?
The pain, the horrible, pain that would be caused if I came out
of the closet. My successful business position in the community and what would happen
if I came out as a homosexual.
    What’s your external complication?
In the story world your author created, explain what it is you fear most.
The biggest complication to enter my life was a lover from my
past. Jorge Villagomez. I’d left him behind long ago and locked myself in the closet,
hoped he would always just be a secret from my past. But, when he returned to my
world, I knew my love for him had never died. It was stronger than ever.
    Tell us about your significant
other, that person who makes living worthwhile.
At the risk of being hated, my life is divided between two significant
others. My wife, Rebecca and Jorge. And that is my pain. A love and respect for
the woman I married, who I truly love, and an equal love for the man I loved since
    I was a kid.
    What would that person
    say about you?
Oddly, they would both say the same thing, but from different
points of view. That, although I am a loyal, good man who would do anything for
those I love, I am also a miserable mess. A man torn between two lives—my straight
life and being the homosexual who I really am.
    What is your family like?
We are a typical family. Happy. Deep into our Hispanic heritage.
    What special skills do
    you rely on?
Skills. Funny, I never thought of having skills. I am, though,
    a talented and innovative architect.
    If someone from your past
showed up, who would you NOT want it to be, and why?
Jorge, of course. With him comes the pounding on my tight closet
door. And, most of all, my father. A man who hated me, who was ashamed of me.
    Are you happy with the
way your story ended? Why or why not?
Very happy. It was a painful road, my coming out. I did hurt
my wife, I confused my son. But, in time—because ultimately she loved me enough—Rebecca
came to terms as best she could with my homosexuality. And, after an equally rocky
road, I finally reunited with my soul mate, Jorge.

    About the Writer

    You have the length of
a tweet (140 characters) to describe yourself as a writer. Let’s see what you can
    do.
    Ha! That’s a good one! Let me see…Nah, I can’t describe myself.
    Why did you choose to
    write about this character?
I simply love Hispanic culture and the character was inspired
by one of my favorite crushes, Hispanic actor Eduardo Yanez. Personality, looks,
everything. It felt good to turn a passion for a type of man into a character.
    Was there anything you
discovered about this character that was a surprise to you? When you wrote about
this character, what made you the most happy? What made you the most sad? Happy?
That he was beautiful. He was NOT perfect, as he was a big man,
had been a big kid. Sad because of other imperfections. Sad because he was going
to do some things, in his struggle to finally come out, that would hurt others,
that would make him seem selfish, that would make him seem weak. But it was who
he was, and it was real. Not easy to make a character have flaws that you knew readers
    would not like.
    Why do you write?
    I know it’s cliché, but it’s true: because I can’t NOT write.
But, then, too, I’ve always had this huge, huge world of folks in my head. And since
I can’t paint of sing about them, I have to produce them in the only other means
    I know. Writing them.
What do you want to write
    next?
I’m already into a story, another Hispanic set of characters,
only a bit darker than ‘Honor C’. A story where a horrific event that happened years
ago ends up being an unsuspected bond between the two main characters.
    What other character from
this book do you want to write about? Care to tell us why?
The supporting character, Gabriel Barbosa, who had loved one
of the MC’s (Jorge). Just one of those guys you write, who you don’t plan to be
awfully significant, but then—ouch—you kind of like him a lot and want to write
    him, to explore him further.
    Are any sequels planned
    for this book?
Actually, there is a sequel. The book was left with what readers
keep calling a ‘happy for now’. I want to go beyond and let the readers have that
    conclusive happy ending.

    Author Bio

    C. Zampa’s earliest stories were not written words, but drawings.
Adventures, romances—all drawn in comic book style, complete with dialogue bubbles.
Countless hours were spent in her room with her Mead Academie sketch pad and pencils.
While the stereo headphones piped the classics into her ears, she feverishly sketched
the wonderful characters who lived in her head, creating little vignettes for them.
Even her early drawings reflected romance as she felt it—erotic,
    sensual, natural, uninhibited.
In her pseudo-hippie days of high school, she began to write.
Her teachers encouraged her to take her writing seriously, but to her it was strictly
for pleasure. Once entering the working world, she left writing behind; but, a few
years ago, overwhelmed by a need to create, she opened a blank document and began
to write again and has not stopped since.

    Interview with Amber Harrison

    Tell us about yourself,
    please.
    Hi everyone,
My name is Amber Harrison. I’m the Winston family keeper.
Right, and what’s that you’re probably asking?
It means that I’m guided by my family ancestors which are now
my spiritual guides. They assigned me task that will help me grow and will help
different members of my family. I’m very happy in my job, most of the time because
I’m surrounded by very supportive people.
But this time, the family spirits have assigned me one heck of
a task. I have to get my grandmother’s ghost to let go and pass over into heaven.
Do you know how hard that is?
Especially with a ghost riddled with guilt.
Add in, I’m in love with an incredible guy who has no idea what
I’m going through. Then you’ll wonder why I just don’t pack up my bags, head back
    to college, and sunny California.
Oh, yeah, my parents, they want to rule my life.
Oh, but it’s fun being me…not.
What is it that you want,
but cannot have? Authors call this the conflict of the story.
To let go of the guilt I have of accidentally killing my grandfather.
I loved him so much, then he died and left me all alone.
    What’s your internal limitation?
Meaning, what is it about you that makes it so you cannot do what it is you need
    to do during this story?
I have to let go of the one man, I truly love to find the confidence
to convince my grandmother to let go of her life as a ghost.
    What inner doubt causes
    you the most difficulty?
Failing the family that loves me.
    Tell us about your significant
other, that person who makes living worthwhile.
Carter Miller is everything a girl could want tall, dark, and
handsome with the most incredible bedroom-brown eyes. He can look at you and you
want to melt. He works in construction and is remodeling the kitchen in Winston
Manor. His only problem is he doesn’t understand my connection to the spiritual
    world.
    What would that person
    say about you?
He believes I’m beautiful. Even if I’ve been told by my mother,
I could use to lose a few pounds. With blonde hair and blue eyes, I’m attractive
and try to be a nice person. Though, his sister calls me a bimbo because I consume
a great deal of her brother’s time. Yeah, I can’t help if he likes being with me.
    What is your family like?
With a family of spirits surround me, I have more characters
around me than I can shake a stick at (old says are repeated regularly at my house.)
They are supportive as well as challenging.
My best friend, Mattie Winston Miller is the best and helps me
with my job. She’s the old family keeper and understands the challenges I face.
As for my parents, they are in California. We don’t exactly get along, and I’m
much happier living miles and miles away from them.
    Are you happy with the
way your story ended? Why or why not?
Yes, I met the task assigned to me by Jonathan, the head of the
family spirits and I am committed to living the rest of my life with the man I love.
Granted, I still have challenges to face but I know I can meet
them with the help of the family spirits and my friends.

    About the Writer

    You have the length of
a tweet (140 characters) to describe yourself as a writer. Let’s see what you can
    do.
Creates heartwarming stories about women, their struggles, successes,
hopes, and dreams. Romances that push the limit and touch your heart.
    Why did you choose to
    write about this character?
Amber is a young woman searching for where she fits into the
world. Her challenges stretch the limit of what we might achieve if we were given
    a task by spirit.
    When you wrote about this
character, what made you the most happy? What made you the most sad?
Happy for her to find the strength to let go of the pain of the
past and reach forward into a new future with Carter. Sad – She see the pain others
experience and can’t let it go, she shares the pain and works to help anyway she
    can.
    Why do you write?
I want my readers to escape into a new world and discover new
things that they can take into their world and make their life better.
What do you want to write
    next?
I’m working right now on the last book in my Executive Wives’
Club series. Then I’ll start on the next book in the Family Tree Series.
    What other character from
this book do you want to write about? Care to tell us why? Are any sequels planned
    for this book?
This series shares the life adventures of not only Amber but
Mattie and her daughter Lilia. A family saga, there is a great deal to share with
each character growing and learning new things.
The next book will go into more of Lilia’s life. She is a psychic,
but she is not sure if she can embrace her gift or not. She has a challenge in the
next book and will discover that having someone to love can make a world of difference
    in your outlook on life.
    Is there anything you’d
like to say to your readers?
Thank you, I am always amazed by my readers and their understanding
    of my stories.

    Author Bio

Growing up, I didn’t know what I wanted to be. Once when someone
asked me about my dream job, I said I wanted to be a pretender.
That’s why writing is the perfect job for me, because it allows
me the flexablity to become a new person in every book. In truth, I went through
a number of different jobs, before I decided to be a writer. I enjoy incorporating
the heartaches, headaches and fun of being a mother into my books.
Currently, I’m working on a series about four executive wives.
They combine elements of women fiction with the passion of romance. The first three
books are available, Marketing Exec’s Widow, IT Exec’s Baby, and CFO’s Affair. The
last book CEO Widow’s Decision will be out by the end of 2014.
Also, I have two books out in my Family Tree series…Summer’s
Growth and Fallen Leaves. (Paranormal Romantic Suspense)
When not writing, I enjoy spending time with my family and traveling
around the country. I haven’t hit every state yet, but hoping to some day.
Read the first chapter of any of my books by visiting my website.

Grey series, and decided to try my hand at writing BDSM. I was surprised, no more
like flabbergasted, by all the rules that the people practicing that sexual lifestyle
    abide by.
    What is your favorite
    genre to read?
I love romance and fantasy. When I’m writing I try to combine
    the two.
What is your favorite character from fiction (not including your
    own characters)?
Bilbo Baggins ranks pretty high up on my list of memorable characters.
He ventured outside of his comfort zone and changed the world.
    Do you enjoy films and/or
TV shows? Which are your favorites?
Yes, I like watching movies and TV. My current TV show favorites?
Hmm, there’s True Blood, Grim, Sleepy Hallow, Elementary, Blue Bloods, Castle. There’s
more but I’ll stop there. I won’t even start on my past, canceled, favorites. That
list is much longer. I’ve been watching TV for quite some time now.
    What are you working on
at the moment, and what are we likely to see from you in the coming months?
I’m continuing to work on my Mystic Museum Series. To adequately
answer this question I will have to fill you in on the premise of The Mystic Museum
Series. Minerva’s Mystic Museum is located in New York City. Every full moon the “powers
that be” choose someone from the visitors of the museum. This someone, known
as the mystic walker, will be the hero/heroine of the novel. The “powers”
select someone they feel deserves a second chance, or just a chance to follow their
destiny. Minerva, the curator and caretaker of the museum meets the chosen mystic
walker. Through the magic that has been entrusted to her, Minerva supplies them
with the opportunity to change their lives.
Each book in the series is vastly different from the others.
The 1st book, called Howling at the Moon, is a ménage involving shape shifting wolves.
The 2nd is called Dulce Isle. Dulce Isle is a ménage which explores a newly widowed
man’s changing sexual inclinations. The 3rd novel is called Unleashing the Woman
Within. It contains BDSM (with a warning that it contains forced seduction). The
4th novel, and what will be coming from me in future months, is called End Detour.
End Detour is a story about a hooker, and has hints of interracial relationships.
The 5th is called Undivided Attention, this one involves inter galactic displacement
and a curse. The 6th is called Magic in the Woods. It is a ménage and involves inter-dimensional
travel. There are a few other ideas floating around in my head that I haven’t begun
the creative process on yet. I think I’m going to be busy for awhile.

    About the Book

Rowena Milestone, corporate executive, has an accomplished career.
Yet one thing eludes her. Try as she might she can’t seem to have an orgasm even
though she likes sex. Her position in the corporate man’s world tends to intimidate
her dates. They perform well enough in bed, but they just don’t push her over the
    edge, until she meets Stephen.
Stephen Sloan has a secret. He belongs to a very special, no
holds barred, anything goes sex club. He never thought he’d meet anyone like Rowena
there, so he wanted to believe her outrageous story that she didn’t know how she’d
gotten there. When she disappeared without a trace he knew she’d been telling the
truth. Now armed with three pieces of information he is determined to find her.
Rowena was devastated when the curator of the museum couldn’t
help. Minerva had said, “If the universe is willing, he will come to you.”
Fat chance she has of that happening.
Note: This book contains forced seduction.

    Author Bio

I live in Little Falls, New Jersey. I am happily divorced, and I’m proud
to be able to say that my ex-husband and I are still on friendly terms. We created
two beautiful twin daughters in our union together. For that we will be forever
    grateful to each other.
My son in-law is proudly defending our country. Because of that,
I see too little of my grandson. Duty stations are never close enough to home.
I share my home with Tiger Lily, the cat I inherited from my
daughters, and the man I consider my soul-mate.
I work full time, and write in my spare time. I like to read
and watch TV or movies. I enjoy sitting poolside and swimming. Horseback riding?
Yes, I love it. Unfortunately there aren’t enough hours in the day to do all the
things I like to do, so I choose to write.
I’m the first to admit that my life is uneventful, one could
consider it dull. But I’m happy, that’s what matters. Not many people can truly
say that. If more people were happy the world would be a better place.

Light My Fire by Kristina Knight

Book heat level (based on movie ratings): R

Lily MacIntyre’s life is offtrack, and she knows exactly how to right it: shed her America’s
sweetheart image in a big way. Getting down and dirty in a limo with rocker Nate
Lansford seems like the perfect solution. Plus, she’s had a mad crush on him practically
since birth. The only problem? Nate is her brother’s best friend…and he doesn’t
see her as anything other than a surrogate little sister.

    Interview with Kristina Knight

Why did you write this book?

I’ve had a love affair with music all my life. It started with
the Beach Boys (which my mom introduced me to when I hit high school) and then the
pop stars of the late 80s/early 90s (with some hair metal thrown in). Rock stars
fascinate me, so when Nate popped into my head I knew I had to write his story!

What is your favorite genre to read?

I read across genres, depending on my mood…but probably 60%
of my reading is contemporary romance. Because who doesn’t love a boy-meets-girl
    story?

What is your favorite character from fiction (not including your
    own characters)?

So many! But Samantha Jellicoe, from the Suzanne Enoch ‘Billionaires’
series is right up there at the top. She’s feisty, spunky and just a little bit
broken, but she also has a code and she lives by it. Love that!

Do you enjoy films and/or TV shows? Which are your favorites?

Yes, to both! A few of my faves are NCIS, Revenge, any chic-flick
film …and I love the Romancing the Stone movies from the 80s. They’re a little clichéd
and some of the acting is silly…but they’re still so good!

What are you working on at the moment, and what are we likely to see from you in the coming months?

I have 2 more rocker books, coming out in a few months with Harlequin
E and I just put the finishing touches on my very first SuperRomance from Harlequin,
which should be out in early 2015. So I’m in a little bit of editing/revisioning
limbo, but in my spare time (HA!!) I’m working on another contemporary about a cowboy
and a masseuse that I’m having so much fun with!

Please tell us about your latest book.

Light My Fire is a friends-to-lovers/brother’s best friend book
set in the glamorous Hollywood world. Lily is desperate
to change her image, and she’s had a mad crush on Nate, her brother’s best friend
and a rock star, for years. She thinks he’s the ticket…but she doesn’t count on
    falling for him…

Lily MacIntyre needs to shed her sitcom teen-queen image if she’s going to carve out a real career in Hollywood. A tabloid-worthy fling with rocker Nate Lansford—her childhood friend and new cohost of a reality talent show—should do it. As long as she can accept that the notorious player will be moving on to the next eager conquest when the season wraps. Long before Nate’s hard-hearted image took hold, he and Lily were each other’s protectors and allies. No one knows him the way she does—and he doesn’t want his messed-up past to muddy up her potential. For once, the bad boy is trying to be good. Not easy when the good girl is getting wicked with him in the back of his limo, and every white-hot kiss proves they can never be “just friends” again…
