    Genre LGBT erotic romance

    Blurb (up to 300 words)
    From rescue to romance…
Teach a wounded submissive the value of his service. The task ought to be an easy one for an experienced dominant like Henry Webb.
But novice Jay Kress challenges his teacher like no other. Still bearing the bruises of an encounter outside the bounds of safe consensual play, Jay is desperate to submit to the man who saved him—and shamed by his desires.
Henry recognizes the dangers of a relationship built on hero worship. He’ll teach Jay how to stay safe, that’s all. He won’t take advantage of the younger man’s trust. He won’t share his fantasies about his dark-haired, athletic student. He’ll never claim this submissive for his own…
Becoming His Master is a Neighborly Affection series prequel that tells the origin of Henry and Jay’s relationship in their pre-Alice days.

    Interview with Henry Webb

What is it that you want, but cannot have? Authors call this the conflict of the story.
What I most desire is an impossibility—to have met Jay, my sweet-natured submissive, before an odious predator led him down a path toward harm. Failing that, I want to see him whole and happy. As a submissive and as a man, he’s a delight. He’s quick to learn and eager to please. He has a ready smile, a fit body, and an incomparably beautiful soul. But he needs a mentor, not a lover. I’m pledged to help him find himself. I cannot do that if I self-servingly bend his desires toward me.
What’s your internal limitation? Meaning, what is it about you that makes it so you cannot do what it is you need to do during this story?
I’m told, by well-meaning friends, that my self-denial at times borders on masochism. I suspect there’s a bit more to it than that, but it’s true that I hold myself to an ethical standard that many others do not. Flawed I may be, but I would rather take care in imposing my will on others rather than later discover I’ve caused an unforgiveable result.
What inner doubt causes you the most difficulty?
That I am not, and cannot be, a mind reader. Most dominants I know — the good ones, at any rate — want to provide the best experience for their submissive partners, whether for a single night or a lifetime. Alongside the granting of authority and power comes the expectation of omniscience. I strive to know my submissives, to gauge their moods and their desires, to recognize when they long for more and when they have had enough but fear saying so would disappoint me. But I am not a god. Like any man, I make mistakes. The consequences of an error can be harsh, both emotionally and physically.
What’s your external complication? In the story world your author created, explain what it is you fear most.
I fear that Jay, in his vulnerability, will return to the man who hurt him. The urge to belong is a powerful one — and a dangerous one. I am attempting to encourage his independence, but he is beautifully submissive. He yearns to be owned. If I cannot teach him to prioritize his own safety, he will return to a poisonous relationship rather than remain alone.
Are you happy with the way your story ended? Why or why not?
I am delighted. Jay has surpassed all of my expectations. I could not have imagined this joy in my life. But having found it, I am loathe to allow even a minute to slip away.

About You: Questions for the writer.

You have the length of a tweet (140 characters) to describe yourself as a writer. Let’s see what you can do.
From a flurry of ideas channeled through a ballpoint pen, sweetly erotic literature emerges.
Why did you choose to write about this character?
Henry spoke to me. When a character is so insistent about telling his story, it’s impossible to push him aside. He’s a bit unusual for a fictional dominant, and I found his style intriguing.
Was there anything you discovered about this character that was a surprise to you?
Becoming His Master was my first chance to write a novel-length piece from Henry’s perspective. “Surprise” might not be the right word, but he astonished me with how deep his caretaking streak runs and how thoughtful he is about the plans he makes for his submissives. Being a good dominant is a lot of work!
When you wrote about this character, what made you the most happy? What made you the most sad?
Henry makes me happiest when he’s happiest, which is almost always when he’s guiding someone else toward a better place in their life. He’s very good at seeing problems and working out the necessary steps to surmount them — for others. He’s not as good at turning that perception on himself, and I think he makes me saddest when he denies himself the things he wants.
What do you want to write next?
It’s always such a tough decision! I jot down ideas when they come to me, so by the time I finish one book, I tend to have a pile of ideas for other books waiting. Recently, I’ve been debating whether to follow the same characters for a little bit longer, start following some friends of theirs, or move to a different set of people entirely — ones who’ve been waiting a while for their turn in the spotlight.
What other character from this book do you want to write about? Care to tell us why?
Oh, there are half a dozen other characters whose stories I’d like to tell. But the ones most likely to get their own books someday are Henry’s best friend Will and his friends Victor and Emma, the couple who mentored him in dominance and submission. They all have lives I’d like to explore further.
Are any sequels planned for this book?
In a way, all of the Neighborly Affection series books are sequels to Becoming His Master. It’s the first novel chronologically, because it shows us Henry and Jay as their love story began.

    Taming the Beast, Book 2
As a good fairy, Heather is empathetic and chaste to a fault.
No bad language, no dirty thoughts, flirting and no sex. But when a satyr named
Daemon steps up to her reception desk at From Crud to Stud, she finds herself on
the fast track to exquisite corruption.
Daemon is the total bad-boy package with a kiss straight from

side that makes him want to protect as well as pillage.
But Daemon needs a little creative backup to help set his fairy’s

and Daemon’s shameless lust, Heather is about to learn what it means to let loose.

Stressing the Heroine from Tempted By A Kiss a #romance by @TheAnnaDurand #RLFblog

Every heroine has a story. She has a background, a history, and
a past. This interview allows us to meet a heroine and get to know her better,
by focusing on how she handles being relaxed, as well as how she handles
    stress.

    Author Bio

librarian, and an audiobook addict. She specializes in steamy romances
featuring spunky heroines and hunky heroes. As a member of Romance Writers of
America, she volunteers for its chapters to give back to the romance community.
In her previous life as a librarian, she haunted the stacks of public libraries
but never met any hot vampires hunting for magical books.

    About the Book

    Title Tempted by a Kiss
    Genre Erotic romance
Book heat level (based on movie ratings): R
Mel Thompson just dumped her cheating ex after two years
together. Now she’s determined to understand the allure of casual sex by having
a steamy fling of her own at a notoriously raunchy underground club. When her
best friend, Adam Caras, catches on to her plan, he makes a surprising offer to
derail her. If she wants a hot fling, he’ll give it to her.
Who better than Adam, renowned lady-killer, to demonstrate
the erotic pleasures of a one night stand? Sex could ruin their friendship, but
after a soul-searing kiss, Mel fears one night may never be enough.

    Stressing The Heroine

Every heroine has a story. She has a background, a history, and
a past. This interview allows us to meet a heroine and get to know her better,
by focusing on how she handles being relaxed, as well as how she handles
    stress.

    The Heroine’s Relaxed Side

    This heroine is at a
party. Considering her story, describe the party.
Mel Thompson has been dragged to a party at the cramped
apartment of her best friend, Adam Caras. The place is filled to capacity with
family and friends, including Adam’s rowdy firefighter buddies.
    How does the heroine
feel about being at this particular party, and what body language is she
    displaying that gives it away?
Mel lingers behind the bar, arms wrapped around herself,
gaze scanning the room for Adam. She used to love parties, but now they make
her nervous. Though she’s still confident at work, in her personal life she’s
    lost her self-assurance.
    Is she more likely to
    mingle or remain aloof?
She’ll stick close to Adam, even avoiding his brothers and
father, whom she’s known her whole life.
    If she drinks, what is
her drink of choice at this party?
Beer. She grew up next door to the Caras boys, and though
beer isn’t her first choice, at a Caras party she’s not averse to tossing back
    a lager.
    How much drink is her
    usual?
She drinks in moderation, never getting drunk. Well, maybe
    not never…
    The heroine figures out
where the hiding places are and then goes there. Is it to hide, to avoid
someone, or to go drag a friend back to the party?
Mel longs to escape the party — especially when Adam’s
buddies start referring to him as the Arsonist, a renowned ladykiller.
    Is she likely to latch
onto a friend and stay with him/her and ignore others, or is she the friend
    that others latch onto?
She wants nothing more than to cling to Adam, or hide behind
him, but he keeps dragging her into conversations with everybody else.
    If someone picked a fight
at this party, how is the heroine going to handle it?
Anyone who attacks Adam, or harasses a woman, will meet Mel
    the Terminator.
    Is the heroine the one
most likely to get tossed out of the party, or the one who does the tossing?
Don’t mess with Mel. She may be nervous at a party, but
    she’ll boot out the troublemakers.
    Will she know when to
leave, or stay late and make a nuisance of herself?
She’ll try to sneak out early, but Adam will convince her to
stay until everyone else is gone. He’s got an ulterior motive, but she’s
    oblivious to it.

    The Heroine’s Stressed Out Side

    How does the heroine handle
it if the cops or some other authority figure pulls her aside when she was
    blameless in a situation?
She’ll give them a tongue lashing, for sure.
    How does the heroine react
    to hearing a scream?
Mel flinches, but then rushes to see if someone’s in
    trouble.
    If she sees someone being
assaulted, what is the FIRST thing that crosses her mind?
A man attacking another man: Too dangerous, run away.
A man attacking a woman: Won’t let another woman become a
    victim.
    If she sees someone
being assaulted, what is the FIRST thing she does?
A man attacking another man: Call the cops.
A man attacking a woman: Jump in with her stun gun to stop
    the assault.
    This heroine attempts
to rescue someone and realizes that she is in over her head. The odds are against
her and there is no way out. She is going to get her butt handed to her. What does
    she do?
Call Adam on her cell phone.
    The heroine runs into
the one person from her past she wanted to avoid. She can’t get out of the
situation and must interact with him/her in some way. What does she do?
When Mel runs into her cheating ex, Devon McCallister, she puts
up a tough front to hide her fear while searching for a way out, one that won’t
alert Devon to how scared she is.
    Someone younger than
the heroine is in charge of the situation, and they are handling it badly,
perhaps bungling things. How does the heroine deal with it?
Mel started her own business from the ground up, so she
excels at finding a diplomatic way to step in when someone else is screwing up.
    The heroine is in
physical pain but must bear up under it and keep going. What does she tell herself
in order to get through the situation?
She remembers how resilient her late father was and takes
    strength from those memories.
    What mentor’s words
come to mind in a bad situation?
She remembers her dad’s corny advice, like “Crying
doesn’t make you weak, Melly. Even a tough cookie can have a soft center.”
    What lesson from her
past gets her through a stressful situation?
Getting through her father’s death proved to her she can
    handle even the worst moments.

Meet Blue Trace from Outside the Lines #romance @allyabishop #RLFblog

When you do something effortlessly and people commend you
continuously, you have found your gift. That’s what I tell people all the time. And it’s true.
I’m Ally Bishop. I get story. I always have. I started writing when I was eight on a
Smith Corona (the electronic kind — I’m not THAT old). I wrote stories in
every spiral notebook I had. Eventually, I graduated to a Mac (yes, I’m one of
THOSE people). I imagined new worlds, emotional conflicts, and HEAs while I
waited at stoplights or wandered the grocery store. But here’s the thing: I
didn’t just dream it up and write it down — I critiqued what I read. I knew
when ideas were good, and when they stunk. I ran writing groups, judged
creative contests, and eventually got two graduate degrees in writing. That’s
right: I love it that much.
So here I am, years later, writing kickass heroines and devastating
good guys, along with some mystery and vampires thrown in (I promise: THEY’RE
COMING). And what’s really cool? I do what I love. Wanna write a success story
for your life: I promise you, that’s it. Do what you love. And hopefully, you
can make a living at it too. That’s the golden ticket, Charlie.
    And chocolate doesn’t hurt, either…

    Don’t take up space.
    Don’t talk too loud.
    Don’t tell anyone.
    Blue. I’ve always
been the problem child. My name alone should have warned anyone with a half a
mind that I’d be trouble. Who’s named for the broken crayon nobody wants?
    Professor Rhys
Kennison should have seen me coming a mile away, and I should have known better
than to fall for someone so far out of my league. But his touch is like fire
and his taste…like the finest chocolate. What woman could resist that
    combination?
    We’re headed for
disaster, though—after all, it’s what I know best. No matter how hard I try, I
can’t stop destroying anyone who gets too close. And Rhys doesn’t understand.
How could he? When I don’t even understand myself?
    Introducing Blue Trace
Welcome to Romance Lives Forever! We’re happy to
    have you here today.
    Name: Blue Trace
    Age: Twenty-eight
    Gender: Female
    Birthplace: Bakertown, PA, USA
    Profession: That’s up for debate
Ethnicity/Species (if not human): Some days…
    Describe
your body and build, skin tone, height and weight. Include any unique features
such as dimples, freckles, or scars.
    5’2”, sunburnable, the ol’ string-bean
build—nothing like my sexy sisters, Lux and Zi. :sigh: I’m super freckled,
thanks to my frizzy red hair, and my eyes are dishwater green (someone once
described them as “mossy,” so I’m going with that).
    Who
is the significant other in your life?
Currently, no one. But I’ve been seeing
    someone…well, “seeing” is a relative term, isn’t it? Let’s just say, he’s
definitely not my type, and there’s no way this can ever work.
    Please
tell us a little about yourself.
Oy…not much to tell. I just got laid-off—that’s
the nice term for it, so I’m trying to figure out my place in life. My sister
Lux insists I should get into art, but I’m not sure. I’m not very good, despite
    her insistence otherwise. She’s biased.
Life’s a mess right now. Not as bad as it’s ever
been…but that’s not comforting, to be honest. Whenever I’m around, it seems
like things can slide backwards pretty fast.
Still…I’m repairing my relationship with my
sisters, I’m trying to figure out my skills, and at least Dr. Rhys Kennison is
crazy-sexy. If you’re going to go down in flames, you might as well make it hot
    enough to really burn, right?
    If
we could only hear your voice (but not see you) what characteristic would
    identify you?
God help you all. Ugh. My voice is, um, normal,
I guess? I hate hearing it on voicemail, but I guess everyone does. Plus, I
guess you’re kind of doing that now, right—“hearing” me without seeing me? Not
    sure I’m doing very well.
    Please
    tell us about your education.
Ah, well, you can read about that above. I’m not
good in school. I’m not really sure why—I try. My teachers said I was lazy, and
I ended up on the “Morons and Mayhem” track in high school—you know, the
“remedial” classes. And even there, I struggled, though I eventually passed.
Now I’m taking Pre-Algebra, and even that feels
too hard—the letters don’t look right. It’s like they move around or something.
    I don’t know.
I know I’m failing, and my sister says I should
get tutoring. And I will say, if tutoring were always like the last time, I’d
be an A-student! ;) But that’s a world of trouble, and I’m trying really hard
to get life right this time.
    Do
you get by, live comfortably, live extravagantly?
    Answer D: survive?
    Are
any of your skills a source of pride or embarrassment, and if so, which ones
    and why?
I don’t, um, really have any, to be honest. My
sister Lux insists I do, and she thinks I should take another look at the whole
art thing, but I’m not that good. Not really. And I don’t know how to use
    Photoshop or anything like that.
Mind you, if I told her that, she’d immediately
pay for classes and buy me computer. She’s like that, and I love her for it.
    Among other things.
    What
kinds of things do you always carry (in pockets or purse)?
Cash, my bank card, and my little Yoda keychain.
Zi bought that for me when I was…eight, maybe? It was originally one of those
candy dispensers—Pez, I think they’re called—but the dispenser part broke off,
so I threaded silky bracelet thread through it and I carry that. Speaking of, I
always have one of those silly luck bracelets on my arm—the kind you buy at
dollar stores and wear until they fall off. I don’t know why—I just do.
    What
    is your family like?
Complicated. My mom just died, and she
was…mentally ill. I’m still coming to terms with that—I didn’t handle her death
well. And my grandmother’s a controlling b—um, *witch*.
My sisters, though, and their partners are great
and very supportive. They have a lot of friends I don’t know, so I’m just
starting to get comfortable enough to hang out with everyone.
    Do
you see morality as black-and-white, or with shades of gray?
My *life* is a shade of gray. I’d be a hypocrite
to look at others any other way.
    How
do others perceive you based upon looks, and is this assumption accurate?
I’m small and skinny, so most people think that
I need to be protected. Which…if we’re being honest, used to be the case. I’m
    tougher than I look though.
I’m not ugly—I mean, I got lucky in the sense
that I have a decent face and a little makeup does wonders for my eyes. But I’m
not curvy, so guys don’t really notice me all that often.
    If
someone from your past showed up, who would you most want it to be, and why?
My best friend in middle school. When my sisters
and I were put into foster care, we moved into a different school district, and
    I lost touch with her.
    If
someone from your past showed up, who would you most NOT want it to be, and
    why?
    My ex-boyfriend. I don’t have many…I’m not a
commitment kind of girl. But he was a bit of a jerk most of the time.
    Can
you keep a secret? Why or why not?
Yes. I’ve never taken someone’s trust for granted.
Someone like me doesn’t earn trust easily, so I try hard not to screw that up.
    What
inner doubt causes you the most difficulty?
I don’t know that I’m good at anything, to be
honest. What if I’m destined to never be anything more than an underpaid server?
    What
past event causes you the most fear?
    When I was younger, I was a cutter. I’m
    terrified I’ll do that again.
    What
    is your biggest need?
Heck, if I knew that, I could have saved on
years of therapy. Maybe to be seen? Valued?
    What
are your biggest hopes and dreams?
I’ve always wanted to have my own “thing.”
Business, craft, hobby, something. I at least have my apartment. It’s the first
place I’ve ever had on my own.
    What
would help you face hardship and meet any challenge?
I guess I already have it, though I don’t know
what *it* is. I’m still standing, after all.
    If
you could make any one thing happen, what would it be?
To stop hurting my sisters. We’ve all been hurt
enough by people who should have loved us. Yet I keep making things worse on
them. I try so hard not to be the problem, but some days…that’s all I seem to
    serve up.
    When
there is a setback, what doubt or flaw surfaces?
That I deserve this. That’s it all I’m ever
    going to have.
    How
    do you express disappointment?
In the past or now? Before…not very well. Let’s
just say, the red hair wasn’t *enough* warning. But now, with my therapist’s
help, I’m able to say what’s bothering me and talk through it.
    When
(if) you lie or are upset, what gives you away?
:chuckles: My skin. I blush at the drop of a
    hat.
    Who
in your life has the power to hurt you the most and why?
My sisters. I would do anything for them.
    What
would you like people who hear your story to know?
We are lovable, as-is. No magic pill or perfect
body will ever be enough for someone who doesn’t think you’re enough as you are
right now. I’m not perfect—far from it. I’m damaged, from the scars on my body
to the holes in my memory. But I’m enough.
I had to realize that on my own, and let me be
enough for *me.* Then I can be enough for someone else too.
You can do that, too, promise. It’s a sucky ride
at first, but it gets better. <3

    New Romance by @ChrissyLaurence #RLFblog

This quick interview includes info about the author, and introduces the story.

    About Muffy Wilson

Muffy Wilson, author of provocative romance about love, sex, hope and passion, was born in Texas to traditional parents. With two older brothers, she was the youngest, the family “princess,” indulged and pampered. Her father was a career Colonel and pilot in the U.S. Air Force which required the family to travel extensively. Muffy spent her formative years in Europe and ‘came of age’ in France which forged her joie de vivre and love for books, writing and education.

~ Live, Laugh, Love with Passion

Chrissy Laurence is the cousin of Best Selling mystery writer CKLaurence. Chrissy has always wanted to write, but until her dear friend Muffy encouraged her to do so, she kept the manuscript she had started tucked away without moving forward. Thrilled with the opportunity to collaborate, she forwarded her manuscript to Muffy. It turned out that the two women were a perfect team. Yours to read and enjoy–thoroughly!

    Interview with Muffy Wilson

Why did you write this book?

One of my favorite mystery authors, C.K. Laurence (The Mystery of Jessica Benson) and I talked about collaborating on a book together. She wanted to dip her toe, so to speak, into the pool of erotica and erotic romance. We appreciated one another’s writing style and commitment to excellence and thought, if one is good—two is gonna be great! Chrissy (C.K.’s erotica pen name for her more sensitive mystery fans) had begun the outline and I started to work of fleshing out the story. I would finish a chapter and C.K. would edit and finalize the work. Worked like a charm and a year later—voila! We had Cheerleaders.

Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?

Perry Mason by Erle Stanley Gardner. I know, sounds ridiculous but when my father was stationed in France in the USAF, we did not have a television. I had just turned thirteen and because of the entire series, I developed an insatiable appetite for mysteries, reading, books of any kind. I spent was free tiem I had at the base library checking out books to read throughout the week. I read everything in criminology: fiction and non-fiction. For a long time I wanted to be a criminologist or a medical examiner. It really shaped my love of reading and knowledge.

What are you working on at the moment, and will see from you in coming months?

I just finished a 20,000 word story I titled Consenting Hearts for an anthology with 20 other well-known authors, Indulgence, sponsored by The Erotic Author’s Guild due out in February 2016. Right now, I am working on a labor of love, my father’s memoire titled, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the War: A Memoire of LtCol. Joe Lyle Jr USAF. My dad was one of the original Top Guns aka Tom Cruise in the early 1950’s and flew transport, fighters and helicopter aircraft from Alaska to France and Vietnam. He was a fine man, an officer and a gentleman and very patriotic, but like most of us, he had flaws, strengths and honor. I want his life to be memorialized for those that are his successors. He is the tenth in a long line of twelve generations of our family that have proudly served the United States of America in the military. After I finish that, I have two series to complete beginning with The Para-Portage of Emily (The Shadow Seduction Series) and Moonbeams of Unintended Consequences (Ribbons of Moonbeams Series) so I should be pretty busy this coming year.

Please tell us about your latest book.

NOTE: Although this novel is lighthearted, campy and full of laughter with an occasional tear and lots of sex, there is a chapter that deals with rage, drugs, rape and is extremely violent. This chapter is not meant to glorify aberrant non-consensual sex and/or drugs and violence in any way. It is a pivotal chapter that lives at point to give Cherie a reason to live, rather than be sucked further into the dark abyss into which she is sliding.

    — Miami Rattlers Cheerleader Cherie Redd is exquisitely beautiful, athletic, and very, very lonely. Romance: a puzzling phenomenon she figured had something to do with guys’ fear of rejection or lack of self-confidence because they just didn’t have what it takes to win someone like Cherie.

Titillatingly sexy and breathtakingly beautiful, Cherie and her other cheerleading friends often spent their lonely Saturday nights lamenting their beauty and available just for the asking. The prettiest single women around: lonely, loveless and forlorn.

Frustrated by too many quiet nights at home or with other cheerleaders, Cherie was oh-so-eager for romance and a man to seduce her lavishly. She wanted to feel what a real orgasm in the arms of an adoring man was like once again. So, she tucked her vibrator away and took to the Internet. Cherie had no clue how rapidly the seduction would begin or where her life would careen as a result. Painfully naive and overwhelmed by admirers before her spinning head cleared, Cherie was learning things her momma never even knew enough to warn her about.

Follow Cherie and her friends as their sexual scoreboards light up brighter than in any stadium. Or does it?
