Alec Kaden: Endless as the Rain @mskosciuszko #RLFblog #romanticsuspense
Endless as the Rain Interview with Alec Kaden
This interview is designed for your hero or heroine to tell
readers about himself or herself.Tell us about
yourself, please.Alec Kaden. Yes, one of those Kadens, the organized crime
family. My business is legitimate; I don’t give a shit if you don’t believe it.
The good thing about having money is I can hire people who aren’t insufferable
to keep the cretins away from me. I can’t exactly beat the hell out of people
who get in my way like Father did. Apparently, I was often in Father’s way. What inner doubt
causes you the most difficulty? It’s not doubt so much as Father’s ever-present commanding
voice. Even in his grave, he can reach out and choke me. But I’m thankful to
him for keeping me in my place. In the story world your author created, explain what it is
you fear most and why.I fear not being able to keep my word to Adriane.Tell us about your
significant other, that person who makes living worthwhile. While there is someone to whom I’m faithful, I don’t have
the right to call her my significant other. What would that
person say about you?My hope is that she never knows me well enough to form an
opinion, that she never discovers what she means to me. I would never wish that
upon her.What is your family
like?My mother died during my birth, and Father is also dead. What special skills
do you rely on?I know how to make money, a skill I gained from my education
at Oxford. My greatest talent, though, I gained from Father. Just like with
him, people know better than to fuck with me.About the Writer

under her black belt. A transplant from Ohio, she resides with her husband

this character for the interview today?Alec is the most complex and intriguing character I’ve ever
written or read.Are any sequels
planned for this book? The prequel will be released this winter, I’m working on the
final draft of the sequel, and then I’ll start on the final book. What would your
readers be surprised to learn about you?I’m a fourth degree black belt and certified instructor of
Songahm Taekwondo, and I have a motorcycle license. Is there anything
you’d like to say to your readers?Thank you for reading my stories, for being a part of
something I hold so passionately dear.About the Book

Brandt Fairlane from Seduction in Sierra Leone by @olivianightread #RLFblog #suspense
Interview with Brandt FairlaneThis interview is
designed for your hero or heroine to tell readers about himself or herself.Tell us about
yourself, please.My name is Brandt
Fairlane. I am the CEO of Fairlane Trade International. We are the largest arms
supplier in the Middle East and Africa. The company exchanged hands by force
when knowledge came to light that the previous CEO had started to expand the
business to include human trafficking. Myself, and two others went in and took
over.Authors call what you
want but cannot have “the conflict” — what is yours?Aislinn Salameh.
Aislinn is a relief worker in a small village in Sierra Leone. I visit the
village for a friend who calls in a favor I owe. I try to stay away from her
for numerous reasons. One being that Rick, the previous CEO of the arms
company, may retaliate at any time. Having a weakness is a dangerous thing in
my business. So in order to keep her safe I try to stay far, far away from her.In the story world
your author created, explain what it is you fear most and why.My biggest fear is putting Aislinn in danger.
Once I knew I couldn’t be without Aislinn I knew that I was potentially putting
her at risk. There is nothing scarier than knowing the woman you love is in
danger or could be hurt. It goes beyond
being scared. You have to tell yourself to keep breathing, to keep functioning.
You’re so beyond terrified that your body won’t function unless you tell it to.Tell us about your
significant other, that person who makes living worthwhile.Aislinn is a relief
worker in Sierra Leone when I meet her. She is a bit of a restless soul and
left her home and career as a teacher to search for what and where she will be
happy. Like me, she lost her family when she was young and is a bit of a loner
because of that. Aislinn is a force of nature and is the only person in my life
that has no problem standing up to me. She is beautiful and funny and she is a
loving and kind person. I knew the second I saw her that I wanted her to be
mine.What is your family
like?I don’t have a
conventional family. I know my parents are still alive, but I lost them a long
time ago. My family consists of two guys I consider my brothers; Patrick and
Logan. I met Patrick when I was a kid. We were both homeless on the streets of
Cambodia. I took him under my wing and we have been a family every since. Patrick and I met Logan years later. He helps
run Fairlane Trade International. Logan isn’t much of a talker, but he is a
solid person and you can depend on him for anything. Something haunts his past,
but he doesn’t talk about it. So we don’t ask about it.What special skills
do you rely on?I was left on the
streets of Cambodia as a kid. I had to learn how to survive or I’d die. I have
been in the military, I have been in an off shoot sector of the United Nations
peace keeping organization and then I rose through the ranks of the arms
company. I am good at a number of things. Most of these are things that the
majority of people would have no clue how to do. I have been trained by the
best military leaders and have acquired a very specialized subset of skills. If someone from your
past showed up, who would you NOT want it to be, and why?For obvious reasons,
I would not want Rick to show up out of the blue. I took his company over and
he is a man set on vengeance. There are few things more dangerous than a man
fueled by vengeance. Why are you happy (or
not happy) with the way your story ended? For the most part,
yes. The end of my story leaves one of the characters in a very dire situation.
That character’s story is the focal point of book two in the series.About the WriterOlivia Night, a fictional character herself, has always been an avid
reader and writer. She found the romance genre in college and has never been
able to get enough. One sleepless night, the main characters of Book One in her
Seduction series sprang from her head fully formed. They demanded she tell
their story; so she did. As they revealed themselves, so did two other
intriguing characters. Those characters convinced her to give them their own
books because their stories were worth telling too. And so Olivia suddenly became
a romance author. When Olivia is not writing, she has the best job in the
world, which, too, will remain a secret. In her free time, she reads, write,
runs, or is, most likely, out emulating Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Olivia lives
in one of the most diverse and vibrant cities in the U.S.—Baltimore. She lives
with her cat, which she is convinced was a gladiator in his past life. Olivia
plans to continue being awesome at this thing called life. Really, that’s her
only goal..What was your biggest challenge in writing this book? The characters and storyline quite literally popped into my head one
day. Much of who the characters are was already there from the beginning. The
hard part in writing this book was filling in the in between. I knew how it was
going to end, but not how I was going to get there. A lot of it just came out
and flowed whereas other parts took me days to figure out.Why did you choose this character for the interview today?Brandt came to me before Aislinn did. He intrigued me from day one. I
love that he is so guarded and strong but also so incredibly vulnerable. I am
really attached to him and I wanted the readers to get a glimpse of him in
hopes they would find him as intriguing and loveable as I do.When writing the book, what did you discover about this character that
surprised you?As I said before, Brandt is actually very vulnerable. I had no idea
how deep this ran in him. Aislinn is the perfect person for him. She can treat
him with care without him feeling coddled and sees no failing in his
vulnerability. Are any sequels planned for this book?Yes! Book Two, “Seduction in Seville” will be out this winter (date
tbd) and the third book, “Seduction in Scotland” will be out early 2016. These
two books are Patrick’s and Logan’s stories.I am also working on a separate series that has been occupying a lot
of my mental space recently. This new series will have four books all following
a different woman but all very close friends. It will be contemporary suspense
as well. What would your readers be surprised to learn about you?I am a huge dork with a passion for American History, Buffy the
Vampire Slayer and Dean Winchester. Why should readers who haven’t picked up one of your books before give
this one a try?My books are a perfect mix of suspense and romance. The fast paced
nature of the book will keep you reading and the love story will have you
wanting more! I have read a lot of books where it is too heavy on the suspense
plot and leaves you wishing for more love and other books that is too heavy on
the love and the plot never quite develops. I think (and hope) my books are the
best of both worlds. Is there anything you’d like to say to your readers?I hope you love the characters as much as I do!About the BookTitle Seduction in Sierra Leone, The Men of FTI Book OneGenre Contemporary SuspenseAuthor Olivia NightBook heat level (based on movie ratings): RIn the mangroves of

world. The stranger who enters her village on a blistering hot day looks more

Title Storm Warning (Storm Lake: Thunder Point, book 1)Genre Romantic SuspenseAuthor Livia QuinnBook heat level (based on movie ratings G, PG, PG13, R): PG13A blast of white lightning sent its
brilliance pulsating across the walls and ceiling of Brenna’s cabin. How did a
person overcome a fear of storms when the elements, especially lightning, were
a frequent reminder of their potential to change a life—forever.Brenna had a pamphlet that listed
solutions ranging from keeping all the lights on to crawling into bed with a
family member. There was one she hadn’t understood quite so well until
now—distraction. Specifically, finding a naked man in your living room.Yep, that worked. She watched the
dazzling flickers dance over the taut muscles of his backside creating a shadow
on the wall behind him, a perfect imitation of 007 down to the signature crouch
and the… finger pistol. She’d eased out from between him
and the tall cabinet, where he’d pressed her—for her protection, of course—but
he continued to track possible threats with his gun, back and forth. His
reflexes had been un…friggin’…believable. She raised her eyes to his, trying
not to ogle his fine physique. “Put the ‘gun’ away, big guy. We’re safe.”He did not seem to be pretending.
One could hardly masquerade with his lack of costume. No, he really was James
Bond in secret agent mode. In an exaggerated English accent she purred, “James,
darling, it’s time for bed.” His gaze swiveled to hers and his smile kicked up
at the corner. If anyone had told Brenna that she
would be holding back laughter and oblivious to the raging tropical storm
outside… well, even she couldn’t have predicted this night’s events…Buy This Book

Kris Bock author of The Dead Man’s Treasure @Kris_Bock #RLFblog #romanticsuspense
Kris Bock author of The Dead Man’s Treasure answers five easy
questions to help readers get to know her better.Author Bio
Kris Bock writes novels of suspense
and romance involving outdoor adventures and Southwestern landscapes. The Mad
Monk’s Treasure follows the hunt for a long-lost treasure in the New Mexico
desert. In The Dead Man’s Treasure, estranged relatives compete to reach a
buried treasure by following a series of complex clues. In Counterfeits, stolen
Rembrandt paintings bring danger to a small New Mexico town. Whispers in the
Dark features archaeology and intrigue among ancient Southwest ruins. What We
Found is a mystery with strong romantic elements about a young woman who finds
a murder victim in the woods. If you love Mary Stewart, Barbara
Michaels, or Terry Odell, try Kris Bock’s stories of treasure hunting,
archaeology and intrigue, and art theft in New Mexico. Read excerpts at www.krisbock.com or visit her Amazon page. What is your go-to meal
when you dine out?I live in a small New Mexico town where we have fast food
and Mexican/New Mexican food. While there’s something to be said for green
chili chicken enchilada casserole (or a good pizza), when I get to the
“big city” – Albuquerque – I want something different. Indian, sushi,
or Thai are usually my top choices. What’s your favorite hashtag
to watch on Twitter?Although I’m not a scientist, many of my friends are, and I
do science writing for children (writing as Chris Eboch). I love great stories
about women in science, so I’ve been enjoying both the humor and the attention
given to scientific women by #distractinglysexyWhat are your hobbies?I like hiking, rock
climbing, and watching the sunset from the patio. My home office looks out on
nature, complete with distracting wildlife such as hummingbirds, roadrunners
and foxes. My BFA in photography is used mainly to show Facebook friends how
lovely the Southwest is. It’s a good thing I like outdoor activities, because
here “nightlife” means watching the bats fly out, and then
stargazing. On a dark night, you can see the Milky Way streaked across the sky. When you read for pleasure,
what kind of books do you choose?I prefer romantic suspense that is on the adventurous rather
than violent end of the spectrum as well. Mary Stewart is my role model, and my
biggest compliment was having one of my books compared to hers. I also like
mysteries if they aren’t too gory. I enjoy historical romance, because I don’t
write it. It’s easier to turn off the writer brain and enjoy the story. I write
for children as Chris Eboch, so I read a lot of middle grade novels (for ages 9
to 12). For those, I like fantasy and adventure stories. The dozen books I have
out from the library right now include mystery, romance, fantasy and humor, for
children and adults. What kinds of things do
you read when you’re researching a new book?I’ve been working on a treasure hunting series (so far The
Mad Monk’s Treasure and The Dead Man’s Treasure), so I’ve been reading about
real-life lost treasures of the Southwest. Bandits hid treasure and got killed
before reclaiming it. Travelers got lost or attacked or had to abandon their
trunks in the desert or mountains. Miners kept their gold mines top secret.
With all the stories, you might think treasure was hidden in every cave and
crevice. Many people today are still looking for those treasures. The stories
provide lots of fodder for novels. (Learn more at http://swarmchairtraveler.blogspot.com/search/label/treasure%20hunting).About the Book

thing Rebecca has recruited some help, in the form of a green-eyed charmer
determined to show her that a desert adventure can be sexy and fun. But there’s
a treacherous wildcard in the mix, a man willing to do anything to get that
treasure – and revenge. In a frantic race across New Mexico, Rebecca will have
to ignore caution in a defiant bid for victory. If she fails, she could lose
everything.Action and romance combine in this
lively Southwestern adventure, complete with riddles the reader is invited to

Luanna Stewart author of Portrait of a Girl @Luanna_Stewart #RLFblog #romantic suspense
Luanna Stewart author of Portrait of a Girl answers five easy
questions to help readers get to know her better.Author BioLuanna
Stewart has been creating adventures for her imaginary friends since childhood.
As soon as she discovered her grandmother’s stash of romance novels, all plots
had to lead to a happily-ever-after.Born
and raised in Nova Scotia, Luanna now lives in Maine with her dear husband, two
college boys and two cats. When she’s not torturing her heroes and heroines,
she’s in her kitchen baking something delicious.Writing
under the pen name Grace Hood, she has two novellas published with The Wild
Rose Press. She is excited to have a book published under her own name with
Entangled Publishing.What’s your favorite
down-home family style meal?Roast chicken, mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole (the kind with
a streusel topping), roasted Brussels sprouts, and gravy. Chocolate cake for
dessert.What is your go-to meal
when you dine out?If I got to choose the cuisine, it would be Italian. I would get
either a vodka cream sauce, or a mushroom cream sauce over pasta, a green salad
with the house vinaigrette, and I’d dip my crusty bread in olive oil. I would
have wine with dinner, and a limoncello liqueur afterward. I would also have
dessert, because I always eat dessert, hehe.Describe the perfect
vacation. The vacation I’m dreaming about, and saving for, is a trip to
Scotland. I’ll rent a cottage in the highlands for a couple weeks and immerse
myself in the culture. I’ll visit the area my ancestors hailed from and
sprinkle a pinch of my dad’s ashes there. What are your hobbies? My current #1 hobby is knitting. I learned to knit as a child and
dabbled now and then, but got serious about it within the past ten years. Everyone
in my family gets something hand knit for Christmas. And I’m building a good
collection of sweaters, socks, and shawls for me. When I sit down in front of
the TV in the evenings, I pick up my knitting. Before the knitting, I was mad about counted cross stitch. And yes,
everyone in my family got something cross stitched for Christmas, hehe. When you read for
pleasure, what kind of books do you choose?Sometimes I’m in the mood for mysteries – British set, cozy style are
my favorites. Other times I prefer a nice, thick, historical romance that
whisks me away to a time when ladies wore gloves and changed their gowns a few
times a day, and men knew how to waltz.About the BookTitle Portrait of a GirlGenre romantic suspenseAuthor Luanna StewartBook heat level (based on movie ratings): RWhen her wealthy art
