Romance and Rescues at the Cat Café by Kris Bock

    Genre sweet romance

Book heat level (based on movie ratings): G

Can getting stranded in a creepy house full of abandoned cats turn these enemies into friends – or even something more?

After a rotten week, Holly jumps at the chance to go on a rescue mission. Dozens of cats are stranded in a remote house where the owner has died. They’ve been abandoned, and she can sympathize. But she did not agree to make the road trip with Dustin, her rival and biggest headache at the cat café where they both work.

Dustin has given up trying to get Holly to like him. Still, a long drive through a snowstorm and an overnight in a house full of cats might bring them together – or result in his violent demise. But what they find is worse than they ever imagined – no lights, no heat, the snow still coming down, and over twenty hungry, skittish cats. They’ll have to work as a team to survive and save the animals.

One thing is certain – if they make it back alive, their relationship won’t be the same.

The Furrever Friends Sweet Romance series features the workers and customers at a small-town cat café, and the adorable cats and kittens looking for their forever homes. Each book is a complete story with a happy ending for one couple (and maybe more than one rescued cat). These sweet romances will leave you with the warm, cozy feeling of cuddling a purring cat.

If Leigh Ronaldson is one thing, it’s predictable. What’s wrong with having a routine? Apparently, it makes her boring or so her ex-boyfriend claimed as he dumped her. And her best friend agrees.

She decides to prove them wrong and books an extreme adventure in Ecuador. The hiking, kayaking, and camping she signed up for. She didn’t plan on the hot guide who by just looking at her made her squirm with desire and definitely not the drug cartel who wants them dead.

Nick Greco golden rule is never to touch a client. NEVER. But rules can’t be broken. Regardless of how hard he is.

Once the local drug cartel starts hunting them, he knows it will take all his skill to get out of the Amazon jungle alive. And if your life is hanging in the balance even golden rules can be broken…

New paranormal book Arctic Bite by NJ Walters @njwaltersauthor #RLFblog #ParanormalRomance #PNRNJ Walters, welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Happy to have you here! Please tell us about your book.

    Arctic Bite by NJ Walters

    Genre Paranormal Romance

Book heat level (based on movie ratings): R

Being immortal doesn’t mean you can’t die. It just means you’re damn hard to kill.

When Alexei Medvedev joined the Forgotten Brotherhood–paranormals hired to assassinate other paranormals–he knew it wouldn’t be a cake walk. But his next target is one of Death’s own Reapers gone rogue. For the first time since he started this gig, “damn hard to kill” feels more like “damn near impossible.”

Tracking Cassie Dobbs brings him to a remote bar in small-town Alaska, where this hot-as-hell Reaper is casually serving drinks, as if she doesn’t have a bounty on her head from Death himself. Alexei is dangerously intrigued. Everyone in the Brotherhood knows the first rule: don’t fall for your target.

But Alexei soon has bigger problems to face than an unexpected attraction. They only send assassins after those who deserve to die…or so he’s been made to believe. Now that he’s met Cassie, though, he’s not so sure.

What if everything he’s been told is a lie, and the person he’s been sent to kill is the only one who knows the truth?

What is your go-to meal when you dine out?

I don’t dine out for dinner. I’m a morning person and I enjoy breakfast. Usually a couple of times a week I’ll take myself out to the local A&W for breakfast. I love it.

Who is your “book boyfriend” (that hottie you read about and drool over)?

There are so many. How can I choose just one? One of my all-time favorites is Rhage from J.R. Ward’s Black Dagger Brotherhood series. How can you not love a vampire who can shift into a huge dragon who eats his enemies? And the way he loves his mate, Mary, is the stuff of legends.

    Describe the perfect vacation.

I have two kinds of perfect vacations.

The first would be in a cabin by a beach (the rocky/beachcombing kind and not sandy) with a stack of books, a journal, and lots of great food, including plenty of chocolate.

The second is an “event” trip. I’ve done several and they’re so much fun. One included a day and night in Niagara Falls followed by three days in Toronto which included a hockey game, Bat Out of Hell the musical, and a day at the ROM (Royal Ontario Art Museum) to see the Guillermo del Toro exhibition. I also snuck in a trip to Kensington Market and a stop at Sweet Jesus ice cream.

When you read for pleasure, what kind of books do you choose?

Romance, of course. I love all genres. Depending on my mood I’ll read contemporary, historical, romantic suspense, or paranormal. If it’s nonfiction, it tends to be more in the spiritual/self-help genre.

If the hero of your latest book called you on the phone, what would be a perfect ringtone for him?

It would have to be Blue Oyster Cult’s “(Don’t Fear) The Reaper” since the heroine is an actual Reaper. Everyone else might fear Cassie, but not Alexei.

Meet Karigan Hale @kariganspencil Author of How to Date Your Boss #RLFblog #steamyromanceKarigan Hale, welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Happy to have you here! Please tell us about How to Date Your Boss.

How to Date Your Boss by Karigan Hale

    Genre Steamy, Contemporary Romantic Comedy

Book heat level (based on movie ratings): R

Office Ethics Rule #1 – Do not date your boss.

But aren’t rules meant to be broken?

Nora Ridgeway was comfortable in her relationship; her boyfriend was not. Now, jobless, homeless, and boyfriendless, Nora sets out for Washington D.C. to prove to herself–and her mother–that she can actually “adult.” Her “No more bad decisions” policy is tested right away when her new boss proves to be tall, dark, broody, and handsome. Can she resist his adorable dimple and hard abs to keep her job and her dignity?

Andrew Forrester is Mr. I-Don’t-Do-Relationships. He’s focused on his career and doesn’t have time for emotional females. Until he watches his new assistant swimming in a bikini and wonders what it would be like to trace the drops of water on her body.

With his tongue. Unfortunately, rule #1 of having a subordinate is “No touching”. But, what if no one found out?

Can Nora and Andrew figure out a way to navigate a jealous ex and nosy coworkers to find their happily ever after?

All books in the How to Date series are stand-alone but interconnected stories based in the town of Kensington, MD. If you like snarky female characters, steamy romance, and slow-burn sexual tension, then this series is for you!

Tell us about yourself as a person.

What makes you different from other people?

I can cross one eye. I am a birth photographer. I once dated an NFL kicker. I don’t like coffee, Tom Petty, or Dumbo. I can tell you anything you need to know about any serial killer.

    What is your personality type?

Somewhere between an A and B. As a first born, I love to be in charge of things. I’m super organized with some things, but also kind of a mess with others. I burn hot and quick and often leave projects unfinished (do NOT look in my “craft room” which is where crafts go to die).

What was your favorite childhood game?

Flashlight tag in the neighborhood. Or Nerts – a card game my entire extended family would play at the same time. It takes speed and hand-eye coordination. And forgiveness–what happens during Nerts games stays at the table.

What is your favorite subject to talk about?

Serial Killers. Grammar. Books. Photography. Chickens (we have almost 40-that’s over 3 dozen eggs a day!).

    What is your favorite book?

I am an English teacher by day, so my first love is classic literature. I also read almost 100 books a year, so picking a favorite is almost as hard as my male characters. If forced to choose, I would have to say Far From the Madding Crowd by Thomas Hardy. I read that book at least once year.

    What is your favorite meal?

Steamed crabs with lots of Old Bay. Or popcorn. Or Chris Hemworth’s abs…

Tell us about yourself as a writer.

What made you want to be a writer?

I’ve always wanted to be a writer. I used to write stories all the time when I was little. I became an English teacher because of my love for reading and writing, and I finally got up enough courage to actually publish some of my stories.

What are your favorite books for writing advice?

All books in my genre. The more I read, the more I feel confident about the expectations for my genre.

What are your favorite reference books?

When you go to a convention, what kinds of things do you take along?

My camera – I’m a photographer. A notebook and pencil – yes, I’m that old. My computer with my current WIP. Business cards/bookmarks – network, network, network!

What’s your best advice for a new writer?

Just do it! Write every day. Even if it is just 10 words or 10,000 words (yeah, right), practice makes perfect. I’ve gotten some great scenes (and also great book ideas) from daily writing prompts that have nothing to do with my current WIP.

What are your writing goals for this year?

I hope to write at least two more books in the How to Date Series–How to Date a Rockstar and How to Date a Millionaire. I’m also working on some spicy short stories and a steamy Christmas in July novel. Hopefully I’ll also be able to start a new series involving teachers–write what you know, right?

Read the new Seeing Clearly by Judythe Morgan @Judythe2 #RLFblog #NewRelease #romanticsuspenseJudythe Morgan, welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Happy to have you here! Please tell us about Seeing Clearly.

    Seeing Clearly by Judythe Morgan

    Genre Romantic Suspense

Book heat level (based on movie ratings): PG 13

Evie Parker and Dawson McKey uncover a web of lies, murder, and drug smuggling infiltrating her company. Her grandson is kidnapped as leverage. The widowed grandmother and ex-cop must fight a vicious cartel leader to save the toddler. When an attraction develops, and Dawson must convince Evie, twelve years his senior, that they have a future.

Evelyn Parker is a widow and trusting to a fault. She’s raising her grandson after her only child and his wife die in a suspicious car accident.

Dawson McKey is a divorced, overly cautious ex-cop, who now manages Evie’s shipping company. He trusts no one after his twin sons were killed by a cartel leader’s bomb.

There’s an undeniable attraction, but she’s twelve years his senior and convinced their age difference will haunt their relationship. Dawson’s vowed never to love again, after failing so miserably the first time, but working with Evie challenges his thinking.

Drugs show up in a company shipment at the same time mysterious emails threaten Evie’s grandson. Then the nanny she hired against Dawson’s advice disappears with her grandson and Dawson suspects cartel involvement.

Their search for the toddler tests their trust, even as it binds their hearts.

Why did you write this book?

Seeing Clearly came to life from a brainstorming discussion with a group of writing friends. Most romantic suspense books have young, sassy heroines. I wondered what if the heroine of an RS book was a grandmother who also happened to be guardian for her toddler grandson. And, what if she’s attracted to an ex-cop employee twelve years her junior?

From there Evie Parker and Dawson McKey sprang to life and the plot for Seeing Clearly evolved.

What is your favorite genre to read?

Romance, of course. I want a taste of romance and a satisfying ending in whatever I read.

Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?

Jack Harrington from Marie Force’s Treading Water series.

What are you working on at the moment?

I’m working to finish book 3 in the Fitzpatrick family series. Josh is the third Fitzpatrick son. He’s an Army sniper on home leave. Mara is the administrator of Greenvine, a residential home for boys. When Josh volunteers to work at the home sparks fly.

What books will we see from you in coming months?

Seeing Clearly, my new romantic suspense release is now available on Kindle or Nook. Get your copy today. When Love Trusts, Josh’s story, will be released early December.
