What can Deborah do to protect herself from the devil plaguing her hometown?
Can a young man who’s been away for six years fit into the community he left?
What madman is responsible for the murder and mayhem plaguing Pearson Grove?
Deborah Taber has been concerned by her inability to choose a life’s occupation. That worry was pushed aside when someone shot her brother and fire bombed her family’s newspaper, The Pearson Grove Gazette. She believes Trey Pearson is innocent of attacking her brother—isn’t he? She’s had a crush on Trey since second grade and desperately wants to trust him.
Wade Pearson III, called Trey, is happy to be home on Pearson Ranch after six years in New England. He trained to manage his family’s far-reaching investments. Nothing prepared him to be accused of murder or targeted by a killer. If not for quick action by the sheriff, Trey would have been lynched by vigilantes. He wants to help trap the real villain while protecting Deborah, her family, and his.
Can Deborah and Trey survive the threats against them? Will this clever murderer be caught before he delivers his terrible revenge against those he believes slighted him?
Why did you write this book?
Deborah’s Dilemma is book 3 in my Pearson Grove Series set in North Central Texas in 1885. I wanted this series to explore the diverse young women in a small town, including their dreams and their efforts to achieve them.
What is your favorite genre to read?
Historical western romance and second would be Regency. I love 19th century history in particular and enjoy reading books set in that time.
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
Taylor Stapleton from Julie Garwood’s Prince Charming probably ties with Fallon from Louis L’Amour’s Fallon but for different reasons. Taylor has far more strength than she realizes and used her resources to rescue her niece and nephew and their companion. Fallon believes himself beyond redemption and yet he works harder than anyone to save the town he began as a scam.
What are you working on at the moment?
I’m writing An Agent for Lily in the Pinkerton Matchmaker series. This new series is a popular series but this is my first contribution.
What books will we see from you in coming months?
I’ll have four more of the Pearson Grove series, another Proxy Brides, another Pinkerton Matchmaker, and two Christmas novellas. The rest of the year will be busy!Where to buy Deborah’s Dilemma

Monk’s Bride by Caroline Clemmons

Book heat level (based on movie ratings): PG
A destitute widow; a reformed con man; the danger that links them…
Betsie Galloway Hirsch has escaped Memphis with her son. Her gambling husband tricked the wrong people and they’re demanding Betsie pay his debts—or else. She’s come to Kincaid Springs to stay with her mother and seek a safe place for her son. Being so far from her former home, she feels secure. That is, until danger confronts her.
After 34 years alone, Michael “Monk” Magonagle is falling in love with Betsie and is fond of her son. Monk is certain she is not free of the men her late husband cheated. Although he is not a violent man by nature, Monk is willing to fight for Betsie’s safety. He and the men of the Kincaid family prepare to meet the enemy.
How can Betsie and Liam be protected from the approaching danger? Will she and Monk be able to forge a love that endures or will one of them be silenced forever? What toll will the enemy exact?
Monk’s Bride is a sweet historical western romance.

Monk was a secondary character in The Most Unsuitable Husband. I’ve received so many requests for Monk’s story that I decided to write him a happily-ever-after.

Taylor Stapleton from Julie Garwood’s Prince Charming
What are you working on at the moment?

Garnet by Caroline Clemmons @CarolinClemmons #RLFblog #NewRelease #HistoricalWestern
Caroline Clemmons, welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Happy to have you here! Please tell us about your book.
Garnet by by Caroline Clemmons
Genre Historical western romance
Book heat level (based on movie ratings): PG
Garnet Chandler is fighting to hold onto her café, her niece and nephew, and her sanity after the deaths of her husband, his brother, and his sister-in-law. A persistent prowler and the threat of losing custody of her niece and nephew spur her to action. She doesn’t need another man, but she needs a husband long enough to convince the children’s grandparents she can offer them a stable home.
Bounty hunter Adam Bennett was ready to settle down when his friend was killed by a horse thief. He set out to capture the man who had also killed a guard when escaping prison. Adam must have let down his defenses because the man he followed and two cohorts waylaid Adam, beating him and stealing all his possessions before kicking him down a steep ravine. Adam is determined to capture the three as soon as he heals from their encounter.
Garnet and Adam join forces to achieve both their goals. Will that be enough?
Why did you write this book?
When Charlene Raddon asked me to be in this series, I agreed with her that The Widows of Wildcat Ridge would be an exciting project. Using her parameters, I chose to write about Garnet, a young woman widowed by a horrific mining disaster which also claimed the lives of many people who ran to help rescue the miners. I decided she should have her niece and nephew to raise. (I love stories which include children, don’t you?) The story grew from that premise.
What is your favorite genre to read?
I am an eclectic reader but my preference is western historical romance.
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
My favorite would have to be a tie between Taylor Stapleton from Prince Charming by Julie Garwood and Jenny Jones from The Promise Of Jenny Jones by Maggie Osbourne.
What are you working on at the moment?
Monk’s Bride, a novella in my Kincaid series
What books will we see from you in coming months?
In addition to the one above, I will write more in my new series, Pearson Grove. Each book will have as a heroine the women mentioned in MAIL-ORDER MORIAH, book one of the series. Those are Lula, Alexandra, Deborah, Corinne, Felicity, and Evelyn.Where to buy Garnet
