Meet Dylan from Lyrical Embrace, Suspense by Amber Daulton @AmberDaulton1 #RLFblog #RomanticSuspense Welcome Dylan Haynes from Lyrical Embrace, a new Romantic Suspense by Amber Daulton.

    Meet Dylan Haynes

    Age: 25
    Gender: Male
    Birthplace: Willow Springs, Vermont
Profession: Music Teacher; Ex-Drummer for a rock band
    Ethnicity: Caucasian
Dylan, please provide a physical description of yourself.
I’m about six feet tall with short, spiky brown hair and blue eyes. I keep in good shape because I’m a volunteer firefighter, and I gotta be quick when disaster strikes. I have a red dragon tattoo on my left arm, and it twists around my biceps.
Please tell us a little about yourself.
I like to think of myself as a normal guy, and I hope I portray that to the people I first meet. I used to play for an indie rock band, Fortune’s Glory, but most people don’t recognize me since the band never made it big. I’m grateful for that. I’ve moved back home to Willow Springs, so I usually don’t meet clubbers and fans anymore.
Who is the significant other in your life?
Erica Timberly is the perfect woman for me. She’s strong, beautiful, and stubborn, but vulnerable too. She’s an excellent violinist and loves music just as much as I do. After all the crap she’s been through, she’s still trusting and kind. She loves with her whole heart, and I’m damn glad she picked me.

    Insight from the Author

How educated is this character? Is he book smart, self-taught, widely-experienced?
Dylan grew up around music because his parents owned and operated a music academy, so he spent a lot of time learning to play the drums and other instruments. Music is his life, and even he dropped out of college freshman year to join Fortune’s Glory when he was eighteen years old.
Are any of his skills a source of pride? Embarrassment? Which ones and why?
He’s an excellent drummer and is proud of that, but he loves to teach as much as he loves performing. When his students succeed, he feels as though he’s accomplished something great and takes pride in their achievements.
What is your character’s family like?
Dylan’s parents and siblings are supportive and understanding. He’s the baby in the family, but they treat him like an adult, most of the time. His mom has a knack for embarrassing him, but he knows she only does so because she loves him.
Is your character involved in his community?
Yes, very much so. After years of partying and having fun, he wanted to do something good and give back to the community where he’d come from, so he volunteers as a fireman. As such, he’s also a certified EMT.
What is your hero’s biggest hopes and dreams?
He always wanted to be a famous musician, but his dreams changed when he was on tour and playing clubs with Fortune’s Glory. He didn’t like the person he was turning into. The drugs, alcohol, and groupies distracted him from the music, so he was just going through the motions and no longer enjoying himself. After quitting the band, he found a new dream and succeeded in reaching it. He has a real, down-to-earth life, which includes a good job and a loving woman. Life couldn’t be better for him.

About Your Writer: Questions for your character to answer about you.

To honor the person who chose to share your story, please answer at least four of these questions. Questions with more than one point should be considered one question. You may answer as many more as you like.
What do you wish your writer, Amber, had not told others about you?
Back when I was still drumming for Fortune’s Glory, Erica attended the concerts at the clubs and crushed hard on me, but I didn’t even know she existed. I just never saw her in the crowd of screaming, dancing fans. I was nothing but an arrogant, sexist hound dog back then, and Erica knew it. After I stopped drinking and left the band, I headed back home to get my life together. Then Erica and I finally met. I’m embarrassed of the way I acted before, but I’ve since proved to Erica I’m a changed man.
When your writer is writing about you, what do you think makes your writer the most sad? What makes your writer the most happy?
I think Amber was a little sad when writing about my bandmate who overdosed on heroin. That time in my life was difficult for me, so I’m relieved she didn’t go in great detail about it. More than anything, she was getting all weepy when writing about Erica’s past. You see, Erica was in an abusive relationship before we met, so Amber had no choice but to mention it.
At the end of the story, Amber really enjoyed writing the scene where Erica fought back against her ex and finally broke free from him for good. Amber prefers strong female leads, and that’s definitely Erica.
Why do you think your writer loves to write?
She likes making people smile and giving them happy endings. I’m a prime example of that. I was getting my life back on track after quitting the band, but then Amber introduced me to Erica. Wow! That one moment changed everything for me, and I wouldn’t give it up for all the money or fame in the world.
What other character from your book do you think your writer should write a book about? Care to tell us why?
Lyrical Embrace is book four in the Deerbourne Inn series–a multi-author collaboration of novellas–and each author is only allowed to write one book in the series. Hopefully, that will change because my older brother, Birley, desperately needs a woman in his life. His ex-wife split town years ago, and he’s raising his son and daughter alone. The kids are great–don’t get me wrong–but he needs another reason to get out of bed in the morning. All he does is work at the music academy and take care of the kids. He rarely dates. Damn, the man doesn’t even bed hop. So I hope Amber will brighten up Birley’s future sooner rather than later. If not, I’m gonna have a long talk with her.

Introducing Amy Mills from A Different Side of Perfect (#2), by Karen Cino @Karencino #RLFblog #WomensFiction Contemporary RomanceLet’s meet Amy Mills from A Different Kind of Perfect (Book 2), a Women’s Fiction Contemporary Romance, by Karen Cino. Welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Happy to have you here! Please tell us about the story your author wrote.

A Different Kind of Perfect ( Book 2) by Karen Cino

    Genre Women’s Fiction Contemporary Romance
Book heat level (based on movie ratings): PG13
It is the grand opening of The Perfect Pitch. All the pieces fall into place until Francine’s diagnosis of breast cancer, throwing their lives upside down. While Amy and Jason deal with the reaction from her family to their interracial relationship, Toni finds herself in another overbearing relationship with Pelicans third baseman Gary Thompson.
In the mist of taking care of Francine and working at The Perfect Pitch, Richie gets a call from the owner of the Pelicans. He is offered a job as pitching coach for the team. Richie accepts the job, putting a huge strain on his marriage which affects all of them.

    Introducing Amy Mills

    Please tell me about yourself.
    Age: 39
    Gender: Female
    Birthplace: Staten Island, New York
    Profession: Real Estate Broker
    Ethnicity: Irish American
    What do you look like?
I am average height and weight with shoulder length blonde hair that I can wear either as its natural curls or straightened, along with big green eyes.
Who is the significant other in your life?
Jason Maddock, who is everything I ever wanted in a man.
What kinds of things do you always carry (in pockets or purse)?
The question should be what don’t you carry in your purse. Besides the usual: wallet, sunglasses, lipstick, tweeter and cellphone I always have a notebook, calculator (yes I know there’s one on my cell, but I am a bit old fashioned) a half a dozen pens, a tape measurer and a mini flashlight. Yes, my handbag is heavy!
    What is your family like?
I’m lucky to have both my mom and dad still with me. They live in the same house that my mom grew up in. My dad always called us the three musketeers.
    Are you close to family?
We were a tight knit family. We did everything together. When I was younger, we went to church every Sunday, sitting in the first row and after mass we would go out to the diner for breakfast with a few of the other parishioners my parents were friendly with. I became closer to my dad as I got older. My mom was great but she was very opinionated, always giving me the negative aspect on things, whereas my dad was always positive.
Can you keep a secret? Why or why not?
You bet. In The Perfect Pitch, when Francine, Toni and I found the hidden basement, it took everything in my power not to reveal the secret, despite how dangerous things turned out. It was important to all three of us that we keep this a secret until we found out what it was all about.
    What is your biggest need?
I’m looking for acceptance from my mother in my relationship with Jason. I need to keep my independence and not lose my identity by being in Jason’s shadow.
How emotionally expressive are you to others?
To strangers, I give them nothing. I’ve always been like that for as far back as I can remember. My best friends Francine and Toni can read me like a book. They can read through any expression on my face and also by the tone in my voice. Now with Jason a part of my life, I have opened the emotional door to him. But generally, I’m a private person.
What would you like to tell your writer?
I love the life you have given me. My only wish would be that you wouldn’t have let me mother be so hard on my relationship with Jason, which is putting a strain on my future plans. I love my friendship with Francine. She is such a wonderful friend. I would love to have my own book. I’m here if you need any ideas.
What would you like people who hear your story to know?
The first thing is to never give up on love. Once you find that one person who makes you happy, don’t let anyone defer you because of their views.

Know the Heroine from Bear of the Midnight Sun

Here are some fun questions to help us know your heroine.
It’s late, she’s bored. What does she do?
Miranda prefers a quiet kind of life, so she picks up a book and reads. Or takes a nap. Naps are good.
What kind of food would she impulse buy if hungry?
Ice cream. Who doesn’t like ice cream?
Describe the kind of clothes she prefers to wear.
Comfortable, tailored clothing, like jeans and a button-down shirt or soft sweater.
Does she know how to fix things?
Miranda’s mother prizes independence above all things, and insisted she learn how to perform basic household repairs. As a woman living alone, she sees the sense in having that kind of practical knowledge. She mows her own yard, too, although gardening doesn’t float her boat.
She tried to do something and it went badly. Tell us about it.
Miranda would love to be a gourmet cook, but hasn’t got the knack. For a small dinner party, she once attempted a soufflé from a venerable French recipe. She followed the instructions to the letter, but it somehow managed explode. Soufflés collapse, but they don’t explode. Except hers did. She ordered pizza delivery instead, and, after the party, spent three hours cleaning out the burned splatter from her oven. She vowed never to attempt anything like that again.
How does she act around children she doesn’t know?
Miranda is uncomfortable about children, having never really interacted with them since she was a child herself. In fear of saying the wrong thing, she holds herself aloof to observe them.
What is she like first thing in the morning?
Miranda’s ambivalent about mornings, although her cat Gonzo ensures she rises at the proper hour to ensure he receives his breakfast. She prefers to take her mornings with a cup or two of her favorite caffeinated beverage.
How does she act around people who don’t know what she is?
Like many authors, Miranda’s an introvert and reserved. Definitely not the life of the party, she’ll join the other wallflowers to watch and listen to the other guests.
Will she let a worker handle things or do it herself?
Having grown up the daughter of a fiercely independent mother, Miranda learned to handle her own problems. In Bear of the Midnight Sun, she learns that she can’t necessarily handle her own problems and that needing help doesn’t necessarily imply weakness.
    Earrings/piercings/tattoos or unadorned skin?
She has no tattoos or body piercings, although she does have pierced ears and prefers more delicate earrings that enhance rather than make a bold statement. With her mother, a lawyer who chews razor wire for breakfast, Miranda’s tastes toward bodily embellishment tend to be conservative.
    Personal vehicle or public transport?
Personal vehicle, definitely. In small town and rural America, public transport often doesn’t exist. A privately owned car or truck is necessary.
    Recycle or toss?
Miranda will recycle, as long as it’s not too inconvenient or costly. Having had an irregular income for most of her adult life, she measures cost against environmental responsibility carefully before making a purchase. Convenience is definitely a factor in her decisions to recycle, repurpose, or reuse.

Bucket list of Daniel Goodman from Only a Good Man Will Do @DeeSKnight #RLFblog #romanceLet’s meet Daniel Goodman from Only a Good Man Will Do, an erotic romance by Dee S Knight. Welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Happy to have you here! Please tell us about your book.

Only a Good Man Will Do by Dee S Knight

    Genre Erotic romance
Book heat level (based on movie ratings): R
Seriously ambitious man seeks woman to encourage his goals, support his (hopeful) position as Headmaster of Westover Academy, and be purer than Caesar’s wife. Good luck with that!
Daniel Goodman is a man on a mission. For years he has striven for perfection, fighting for the pinnacle achievement in his world of academia, Headmaster of Westover Academy. Westover, established before the American Revolution, is still one of the most prestigious schools in the country. They accept only boys whose parents fit a certain mold and only those teachers who hold to a stringent set of mores, on and off campus. Jonah considers his brother a prig. Daniel sees himself as doing his best to serve his students. How much better can he serve them as headmaster? That is what he seeks to find out.
Suddenly, into his cut and dried, strictly black and white life of moral and upright behavior, comes Eve Star, formerly one of Europe’s foremost exotic dancers. Her life is anything but cut and dried, black and white. Bad enough that she’s enrolled her son in Westover Academy under false pretenses. More, she runs the town’s most disreputable bar. Worst, much to Daniel’s dismay, he finds himself drawn to her like a kid to chocolate. Nothing good can come of this attraction. Or can it? He is after all, a good man.
When someone dies, we say they “kicked the bucket.” Therefore, a list of things that a person wants to accomplish, places to go, situations to experience, and so on have become known as a “Bucket List.”
Answer these questions as the character. Please write on the same line.
    Age: 36
    Gender: Male
    Birthplace: Lucky Strike, NC
    Profession: Educator
    Ethnicity: Caucasion
    Species (for scifi/fantasy characters): Human
Please provide a physical description of yourself.
6’1″, hazel eyes, hair trimmed short and neat, trim figure, clean-shaven, always impeccably dressed
Please tell us a little about yourself.
I teach buys at the prestigious Westover Academy, a preparatory school for boys in New Hampshire. I started there eight years ago after teaching elsewhere for four years and gaining my PhD. I’m bookish and not embarrassed about that. I love working with my charges, both the younger boys who live in my dorm and the older boys, whom I teach English literature. The pinnacle of my career would be to become headmaster of Westover, and that is my current goal and why I need a woman who can fit in to the school culture and help support my dream.
Who is the significant other in your life?
Sadly, my obsession is with a woman who cannot fit into the school culture and would never be accepted as my wife–should I reach my goal of becoming headmaster. She’s Eve Star, a former exotic dancer. Or, let’s call a spade a spade, a former stripper, well-known on the European stage.
If you haven’t made a bucket list before, perhaps now would be a good time. Who knows? It might inspire another book. While you’re at it, how about telling us about some of your other favorite things? Here are the questions.
    What is your birth order?

I’m one of a set of identical triplets. Mother never told us who was born first, middle, or last. Maybe because she didn’t really know herself.
Tell us about your favorite toy as a child.
    Books. Always books.
Describe your favorite food and how it’s prepared.
As a child, my palate was simple–pinto beans and cornbread was great. Since dining at school I’ve come to appreciate a good roast. I understand that Eve makes an exceptional roast–I wonder if she would make one for me.
Tell us about your best friend.
My brothers, Mark and Jonah, were always my best friends. I stayed by myself a lot, though, losing myself in books. Here at school, my best friend on the faculty is Stan Baxter.
What are two places you would like to visit before you die, and why?
Great Britain because so much great literature and poetry emerged from there, and Italy because that’s where Eve lived for years. I’d like to see it through her eyes.
Where is a place you would never like to return, and why?
To live? Lucky Strike. It’s home and I have good memories of there, but people there think of me as one of the Goodman boys. I’ve worked hard to be my own man and I don’t want to be thought of as one of three again.
Who is someone you would like to meet, and why?
What literature teacher wouldn’t want to meet Shakespeare? But also Matthew Arnold because of his great poetry and his critical view on society and culture.
Who is someone you would like to avoid, and why?
Sydney Thomas. Her father is an important man on the Westover Academy board and Sydney fancies herself my champion. She’s a nice woman but she makes it known that she has more than a casual interest in me. It’s annoying because Sydney would make a perfect headmaster’s wife but Eve is driving me crazy with desire.
If you could time travel to any date, what would it be, and what would you do there?
The very early 17th century to view Shakespeare’s plays performed in the original Globe Theatre.
What was your biggest challenge in writing this book?
Revising the original storyline. It started years ago as a duo book with Vanessa Hart. She had been writing the part of Daniel’s twin brother, Jonah. When Vanessa gave her permission for me to continue the story alone, I had to fill in the parts she would have written. I also changed the twin story to triplets. There was quite a bit to do from a differing perspective, but I like the new direction.
Why did you choose this character for the interview today?
He’s the hero in the first book in The Good Man Series, a play on Daniel’s last name, Goodman. I like him–I can identify with him, having taught boys for a good number of years myself.
When writing the book, what did you discover about this character that surprised you?
How good a man he is. I mean, he can be a snob, but in his heart, he’s good. I like him!
Are any sequels planned for this book?
Yes, Jonah and Mark each get their own books. Jonah is a mechanic who gets a second chance at love–if he doesn’t screw things up again!–and Mark is a true genius who doesn’t recognize that the best thing in his life is before his very eyes.
What genre(s) would you like to write that you haven’t tried yet?
Hmmm… I’ve written futuristic, sweet (under a different name), ménage, and paranormal, so I’m not sure. I do have in mind a series that’s sweeter than The Good Man Series and will be written when I end with the Goodmans.
What would your readers be surprised to learn about you?
That I look like a sweet grandma who knows nothing about erotic romance. So untrue! ;)
Why should readers who haven’t picked up one of your books before give this one a try?
The story itself is good–it’s not all sex, though Daniel has healthy male appetites. Reviews have been wonderful and I think the believable characters will draw readers in. That was my goal, anyway!
Is there anything you’d like to say to your readers?
I love all of you! Thank you for inviting me into your reading world! And thank you, Kayelle for this opportunity!

    Dee S Knight Social Media

A few years ago, Dee S Knight began writing, making getting up in the morning fun. During the day, her characters killed people, fell in love, became drunk with power, or sober with responsibility. And they had sex, lots of sex. Writing was so much fun Dee decided to keep at it. That’s how she spends her days. Her nights? Well, she’s lucky that her dream man, childhood sweetheart, and long-time hubby are all the same guy, and nights are their secret. For romance ranging from sweet to historical, contemporary to paranormal and more join Dee on Nomad Authors. I love to hear from people, so please do contact me.
