#NewRelease Bringer of Chaos: Forged in Fire by Kayelle Allen #RLFblog #SciFi

I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of Romance Lives Forever and today, it’s my turn to be in the hot seat. I’m ending a 20-day book tour with Crystal Reviews and it’s been a blast! At the end of this post, there will be a chance to help share my Thunderclap to announce the release of the book. Let’s jump in for a Quick and Fun answer session.

    QUICK

Do you write more than one genre? If so, what are they?
Most of my books are science fiction, but I also write science fiction romance and contemporary romance. I have one non-fiction book, about how to write a series.
How do you come up with ideas?
I can’t keep from coming up with ideas. They float through the air and stick to me. I’ve learned to look at everything with the eye of a storyteller.
What is the single most important part of writing for you?
I love world building. Creating a new place or culture and then fine tuning it is what makes me get up in the morning. Second most important is when I get a story across and readers react. That’s the reason I keep going!
When did you write your first book?
I was about 18. The original manuscript will never see the light of day, but it has launched an entire universe of stories.

    FUN

Leather or lace? I’m more spandex. LOL
    Black or red? Red.
Satin sheets or smooth cotton? Cotton!
Ocean or mountains? Mountains with an ocean view
City life or country life? Country, close to the city
Party life or evening at home? Evening at home
    Dogs or cats? Both!

Tell us about Bringer of Chaos: Forged in Fire

What if you were a soldier marooned on an undeveloped planet?
What if you had no food and few survival tools? What if you’d been genetically engineered? No matter how agonizing the wound, you’d survive. No matter how you died, you’d come back.
It could be worse. You could be here alone. But that’s the problem. You’re not.
On one hand, there’s a tribe of sentient panthers who protect you. Although you hate humans, the one who was dumped on this planet with you has become a trusted friend. The beautiful telepathic warrior you’ve loved since forever is at your side.
On the other hand, half a million people who depend on you are trapped inside stasis pods, waiting for you to save them. It wouldn’t be so bad if you could wake up a few at a time. But the traitors who abandoned you and your followers set the timers to release all half million.
    At the same time.
You’re facing an ecological disaster and over five hundred thousand hungry, thirsty, homeless immortals.
Worse still, before you can build shelter, figure out how to grow food, or set up a government, you must take back command from a ruthless enemy you’ve fought for centuries.
    Your brutal, merciless father.
Talk about being forged in fire…
Immortals may heal, but a wound of the heart lasts forever.

Bringer of Chaos: Forged in Fire has no profanity or explicit content, but lots of angst, a little humor, some sweet romance, and a ton of betrayal with plenty of vengeance. Oh, and let’s not forget–one ginormous black “kitty.”

Kayelle Allen did a tour in the US Navy, where she climbed around airplanes (on the ground, thankfully) fixing black boxes that helped pilots find their way home.

She wrote her first science fiction novel at 18 and to this day, it’s hidden under the bed, where she vows it will remain. Gems from it, however, launched several series in her galaxy-wide universe of stories.

From childhood, Kayelle was the victim of an overactive imagination and inherited the Irish gift of gab from her mother. From her father, she got a healthy respect for mechanical things.

No wonder she writes Science Fiction and Fantasy peopled with misbehaving robots, mythic heroes, role playing immortal gamers, and warriors who purr. She’s been married so long she’s tenured.

Stone by Linda Mooney @LindaMooney #RLFblog #paranormal #fantasy #gargoyleLinda Mooney, welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. I’d like to get to know you better. After we talk, I’ll ask for your bio and social media. Let’s jump in to a Quick and Fun answer session.

    QUICK

Do you write more than one genre? If so, what are they?
I also write sci-fi, paranormal, fantasy, and contemporary romances. I also write humorous naughty romances as Carolyn Gregg, and horror as Gail Smith.
How do you come up with ideas?
Sometimes a picture or a song will give me the germ of an idea. Other times it might a bit of dialogue. And sometimes I’ll be challenged to write a certain type of story. Those are the most fun.
What is the single most important part of writing for you?
Simply sitting down and immersing myself back into the story. I always edit the previous chapter before starting the next one.
When did you write your first book?
When I was five years old. By the time I was in fifth grade, I was writing almost continuously (and I still have some of those spiral notebooks!) However, I didn’t submit my first manuscript and get published until 2005.

    FUN

    Leather or lace? Leather
    Black or red? Black
Satin sheets or smooth cotton? Soft cotton
Ocean or mountains? Ocean (I’m fortunate to live near the Gulf of Mexico.)
City life or country life? Country life. Slow and easy.
Party life or evening at home? Evening at home.
Dogs or cats? Dogs! (I have two dachshunds.)
    Tell us about Stone
Garenth had been awakened to retrieve an ancient artifact that was crucial to his well-being. He had few memories of what his life had been like when he had been a man. What memories that were left were filled with blood and excruciating pain.
That part of him was over now. The talisman had been taken from its sacred burial place, and it had to be returned as quickly as possible. It was up to him to follow through with his mission so he could return to another thousand years of sleep.
Brielle Van de Camp knew an extraordinary find when she saw it. The small clay figure was the key to a potentially earth‑shattering revelation about a previously unknown time in man’s ancestry. She would bet her life on it.
Unfortunately, others had gotten wind of the talisman, and they were equally determined to claim its promise for themselves. If Brielle wasn’t willing to part with the figurine, they had no compunction about prying it from her dead fingers.
They never counted on having to face the guardian of the statuette, who turned out to be more than a creature of mythology.
Warning! Contains a magic talking rock, a mother idol, boo-lets, a cell phone app, deadly intruders, a ruthless businessman, a key card, and a warrior trying to cope with an ages-old curse with the help of a woman who must be a blessing from the gods.

Life isn’t a box of candy—it’s a puzzle! Rachel Summers is all about Rachel Summers…until the day she crashes headlong into a semi-truck.
As her life hangs in the balance, she has a visitor who asks a very simple question. Does she want to be healed or to be a healer? She makes her choice, but the journey doesn’t go quite the way she expected.
And so Rachel now runs The Puzzle House. Every guest is different and yet the same. They all come to the Puzzle House for one reason and one reason only—to be healed. Sometimes they receive their miracle, and sometimes they discover there’s more than one kind of healing.
Nia is a fifteen-year-old African-American girl who is dying. The doctors have told her there is nothing else to be done. No more treatments. No more hope. No more life. And she’s angry about that. Very angry. Against her wishes, Nia’s aunt brings her to The Puzzle House.

It’s In the Mix (Wit and Wizardry) by Ayla Ruse @aylaruse #RLFblog #paranormal #romance

Ayla Ruse, welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. I’d like to get to know you better. After we talk, I’ll ask for your bio and social media. Let’s jump in to a Quick and Fun answer session.

    QUICK

Do you write more than one genre? If so, what are they?
I write Romance. Within romance, my stories are varied. I’ve written contemporary, sci-fi, paranormal, and horror.
How do you come up with ideas?
Whew. From everywhere. Sometimes it can be a prompt from the publisher, sometimes a song. Sometimes, as I’m writing one story, I may shoot off left and find I’m taking notes on a completely unrelated but interesting storyline. The idea for my latest story, It’s In the Mix, came from a theme from another author wanting to create a multi-author series.
What is the single most important part of writing for you?
Being able to have the time to write. I lead a hectic life and snatching those few hours to write is my lifeline. It’s important to me to be able to lose myself in the characters, in the storyline. When I hit that roll, I lose track of time and place. My fingers fly over the keyboard, capturing dialogue flying between the characters as I let them tell their story. THIS is my happy place. Nothing about writing is more important.
When did you write your first book?
I like the distinction you made—first “book,” not first “story.” My first book was written over the course of two years (yikes!) and published soon thereafter by Totally Bound. That was in 2011.

    FUN

Leather or lace? I’d wear leather and admire lace.
    Black or red? Black
Satin sheets or smooth cotton? Cotton. Satin, although prettier, is simply too hot!
    Ocean or mountains? Mountains.
City life or country life? Funny how we change in life. Ask me that twenty years ago and I’d have responded City in a heartbeat. Now, I crave the country life.
Party life or evening at home? A party is good from time to time, but I much prefer a cozy evening at home.
Dogs or cats? Cats (even though our family dog is totally my girl).
Tell us about It’s In the Mix (Wit and Wizardry Multi-Author #3)

Mix 1 part narrow minded fairy with 1 part human bachelor to get 2 parts love everlasting.

Aisling is not happy to be tending bar in a human pub. Her fairy aunt predicted she’d find love by the next full moon, and that means she should be back in Ireland — not in the middle of Massachusetts.

Despite the happy married lives of his friends, Daniel is content to remain a bachelor. After all, the pretty new bartender may want to come home with him. Why spoil that with a relationship?

Something might have happened on its own, but a mischievous pub owner slips each of them a Wit and Wizardry brew known to contain a powerful love potion. Before either can say a word, Aisling and Daniel find themselves tumbling headlong into love.

Unfortunately, all is not happily ever after. Aisling does not want to love a human, and Daniel believes he’s unfairly pressured her into being with him. When the pair settle down to breathe, can they discover something deeper to bind them, or will daylight make the heady effects of a potioned brew fade away?
