Let’s chat about what to eat

First, what is your name and how old are you?

Hi, everyone. I’m Belle Hamlin, and I’m 29 years young. First off, I want to give Kayelle a big thanks for inviting me to visit today. The past few months have been crazy, so it’s nice to sit back and chill for a bit.

If any, what food do you refuse to eat?

During my pregnancy, I had a long list of no-no foods that made me run straight to the toilet. Pork and fish were high up on that list, but now, even though I’m no longer pregnant, I can’t stand to eat it. Just the smell of Canadian bacon makes me nauseous, which really stinks because I LOVE Hawaiian pizza—or, well, I used to.

Tell us about a meal or food that says “home” to you.

Chicken casserole. It’s my mom’s recipe, and the first time I cooked it for Benji, he fell in love with it too. It’s made with three kinds of cheese, penne pasta, lots of veggies and spices, and chicken strips. YUM!

Do you keep snacks on hand, and if so, what are they?

Of course! Chocolate is a big one. Girl can’t survive without melt-in-your-mouth milk and dark chocolate, ya know. I’ve also always liked bananas, but during my pregnancy and now after it, I can’t get enough of it. Banana bread, pudding, muffins, milkshakes, or just plain old bananas—gimme!

How much coffee or tea do you drink?

Cappuccinos are my go-to drink. The foam is the best part. Going de-caf sucked during the PG months.

Favorite alcoholic beverage?

Gin and tonic. It makes me do stupid things, though, like wind up naked in a guy’s bed—a guy I barely know. Knew—excuse me there. A crap-load of things have happened since my one-night stand with Benji, and sometimes, I think I know him better than I know myself.

Who are your favorite people to share meals with?

My girlfriends—Mia, Shea, and Chanel. They’re my besties, and I love ’em to death, even though Chanel can drive me up the wall with her bad attitude (and she has the gall to say I’m the one with the bad attitude. Puh-lease, but I digress).

Have you heard the good news? Shea is finally getting her own story. Mia and I had a long talk with our author, Amber, and we finally got her butt in gear to write Shea’s happily ever after. It’s called Trevor’s Redemption (that’s her guy!) and will be released later this year. Stay tuned to Romance Lives Forever for the new release update.

If your author has a pet, what does she feed the animal?

Interesting fact. My cat, Pepperoni, is based off of Amber’s cat, Pepper. Both felines are plump tortoiseshells with a heck of a lot of cattitude. They eat what all cats love—milk, cheese, tuna…you name it. Of course, that’s usually for special occasions like birthdays and Christmas, but both Amber and I also give our fur-babies treats for no reason at all. We adore them, and our babies know it.
