    Blurb
    What
happens backstage doesn’t always stay backstage. Recent college grad Madison Clarke
shared a sizzling one-night stand with bad boy guitarist Link Jacks. She expected
it to be just one incredible memory but a well placed web cam will make her indiscretion
a viral sensation and have consequences for both of them.
    Link
Jacks is done with women and determined to focus solely on music and rock-band Becket’s
upcoming album. He’s been living as a marketing-prop bad-boy rock star for so long
he doesn’t remember who he really is anymore. Not until he meets Madison, the emotionally
guarded and theoretically off-limits younger sister of his best friend’s wife.
    Madison
wants to get her fledgling tattoo career off the ground and stop relying on the
generous charity of her wealthy brother-in-law to get by. She knows she should never
get involved with the likes of Link but his presence is downright intoxicating.
Her indiscretion will lead to Internet sex video and media frenzy. Their one wild
night of passion will have scandalous repercussions and force each of them to confront
their inner fears and emotional demons.

    Interview with Link Jacks

    Tell us about yourself,
    please.
    I used
to be a pretty normal guy. I grew up middle class, raised by two music teachers.
I had a talent for music so I got a partial scholarship to Julliard. Never had much
luck with girls at least not until I was discovered and joined rock band Becket.
Once the image consultants, wardrobe people and public relations advisors got their
hooks into me, well life changed. All the sudden I couldn’t keep the women away
and everyone wanted a piece of me. I’m not really the bad boy monster the press
makes me out to be, but it sells albums and keeps my name current. At least that’s
the way I used to feel before I met her, Madison.
She brought out the real me and made me strong enough to face the world as myself.
Oh, I’m also thirty years old and questioning everything.
What is it that you want,
but cannot have? Authors call this the conflict of the story.
    I want
    Madison but I want
her fully in my world. She’s determined to not disappoint her sister by hooking
up with me but I know I can get her family to see things my way. I’m not who the
all think I am, I’m the real me when she’s around. I want to wake up with her every
day of my life but she just keeps on running.
    What’s your external complication?
In the story world your author created, explain what it is you fear most.
    I know
she’s attracted to me; she even seems to care. The trouble is being with me has
practically ruined her life. She lost her job, she’s been shamed in front of everyone
she knows and the whole on-line world got to see her fucking me. The press is hassling
her, people are giving her the stink eye and I can’t get her to forgive me for something
    I didn’t really even do.
    What is your family like?
    My mom
passed away but my dad is still around. He’s actually part of the problem. He thinks
the best way for me to stay on top is to keep my name in the tabloids. He’s always
working on some scenario that will get me press, whether it be dates with supermodels
or rumors of trashed hotel rooms and drug addictions.
    What special skills do
    you rely on?
    I am
an incredible pianist and guitar player. I can really sing although I usually only
sing back up. I love building small models and like to think I can teach anyone
how to play an instrument – heck, I wanted to be a music teacher when I was growing
up. I also have a head for business – I sure don’t want to be hopping around on
stage in my fifties so I have diversified.

    About the Writer

    Why did you choose to
    write about this character?
He seemed like such a loveable, misunderstood bad boy and he
made my pulse quicken just thinking about him.
    Was there anything you
discovered about this character that was a surprise to you?
When I started writing about Link I didn’t expect him to be so
smart. I was originally going with musical prodigy with a make over. He came into
his own and proved to be a truly kind person, motivated business man and stand up
    guy.
What do you want to write
    next?
I am finishing up a third book right now. It is a bit of a romantic
mystery that I hope will give readers a sexy love story and a who dunnit all at
    the same time.
    What other character from
this book do you want to write about? Care to tell us why?
I have already begun writing about the female protagonist’s best
friend, Darling Roberts. Link will also feature in the book as he really wants to
see his friend find love, even if that means a little manipulation!

    Author Bio

    T.D.
Hassett grew up reading the romance greats–Jackie Collins, Julie Garwood, and Judith
McNaught. She was certain that life should be like a romance novel, with lots of
passion, some incredible adventures, and a guaranteed happily ever after. She attended
college in New England, earning a B.A. in History
and an M.S. in Clinical Psychology before changing her mind again and studying education.
Currently Ms. Hassett lives in Connecticut
with her very patient husband and two young children. Her rambunctious family shares
their home with three crazy cats and a darling golden retriever named Delilah. Her
eccentric relatives and their quest to make her feel like the only normal nut in
the family tree inspire her writing.

    About the Character

    Name: Landon Wadden
    Age: 515
    Gender: Male
    Birthplace: New York
    Profession: Alpha
    Ethnicity/Species (if not human): Werewolf
Describe his/her body build, skin tone, height and weight. Include
any unique features such as dimples, freckles, or scars:
His crystalline blue eyes, brown hair styled in a military-style
crew cut, and he wore a short-sleeved polo shirt revealing the tribal tattoo that
covered the length of his right arm.
    Who is the significant
    other in your character’s life?
    Jocelyn, an Elemental.
    What are the qualities
of his voice? (pitch, quality, volume)
He has a deep, rich voice, and has tendency to yell when he’s
    angry.
    Does he scrape by, live
    comfortably, live extravagantly?
He lives extravagantly and has the means as alpha werewolf.
What does he have a knack
    for doing?
He has an knack for pissing off his fated female.
    Is he close to family?
He’s close to his sister, Olivia. She’s more than a century old,
but he’s very protective of her and often treats her like she’s still a child.
    What is your character’s
biggest need at the beginning of the story?
    His fated female.
    What is your hero’s
    biggest hopes and dreams?
He hopes for a world where he can claim his fated, a world
where he could claim his fated, the woman granted for him despite their breed. “Her
soft lips against his made him want to create the perfect world where they could
    live together regardless of breed.”
    What is your hero’s biggest
    personal flaw?
    His temper.

    Interview with Landon Wadden

    Do you believe in love
    at first sight?
I suppose most immortals believe in it. Immortal men have the
ability to recognize the woman fated for them. It’s a gift, a cosmic gift destiny
grants us during the span of our long lives. We wait and wait until we are granted
    this woman, this precious gift.
    Sounds like you’ve met
    her?
(His eyes sparked yellow and he growled.) Is there a question
    in there somewhere?
    Yes, Landon. Have you
    met your fated female?
(At immortal speed, he stood and shoved his fists in his pockets.)
    That’s none of your business!
    Are you often quick to
    temper?
No… yes… It depends. (He sits then shoves his fingers through
his hair in frustration.) I have been quick to temper lately.
    Why is that?
    Because…Because there’s something I want that I can’t have.
    And what is that?
I want my gift. She’s mine. It’s not fair I can’t have her.
Why do you think you can’t
    have her?
(He sighs heavily, and looks away from as if lost in a memory.)
Because… she’s not of my breed, which means she can’t grant me an heir, an alpha
    like myself.

About Your Writer: Questions for your character to answer about you.

    Why do you think your
writer chose to write about you?
Because I’m burdened with the knowledge my fated could never
    be mine.
    What do you wish your
writer had not told others about you?
    Don’t mind.
    What do you wish your
    writer would write next?
She’ll continue the series, the love stories of the Elementals
    and their mates.
    What other character from
your book do you think your writer should write a book about? Care to tell us why?
My sister, Olivia. I’d like to see her settled down with a good
    man, a werewolf.

Character Interview: Corporal Nicholas ‘Saint’ Santiago @ovalleba #RLFblog #contemporary

    A Saint’s Salvation

    About the Book

    Title A Saint’s Salvation
    Genre Contemporary Romance
    Author Beverly Ovalle

Interview with ‘Saint’, Corporal Nicholas Santiago

    Tell us about yourself,
    please.
I’m Saint, at least that’s what my buddies call me. My family
calls me Nick or Nico, depending on who it is. I’m having a bit of trouble remembering
who I am. I’ve seen too much of war. I’m a lovable kind of guy, hot, funny and irresistible.
I love to prank my buddies and I’m loyal. I live the Marine motto Semper fidelis.
There is one thing, one person I want that I cannot have.
What is it that you want,
but cannot have? Authors call this the conflict of the story.
I want Doc, but she rebuffs my every move and won’t answer my
letters and IM’s. For god’s sakes I leaped in front of a grenade to save her life!
    What’s your internal limitation?
Meaning, what is it about you that makes it so you cannot do what it is you need
    to do during this story?
Ah, I cannot make my angel love me. Everyone else yes, but not
    her.
    What inner doubt causes
    you the most difficulty?
I have to wonder what is wrong with me. My high school sweetheart
dumped me and my angel isn’t interested. I know I’ve changed and I want to recapture
who I was. I’ve seen too much and need to find my feet again.
    What’s your external complication?
In the story world your author created, explain what it is you fear most.
I fear not being able to feel joy again. I’m afraid I’ll always
be trapped in the darkness of the world I’ve seen.
    Tell us about your significant
other, that person who makes living worthwhile.
That would be my angel, Doc. Petty Officer Jones. She made me
realize that no matter what, there is a bright side. She faced a whole change to
her world and could still see the bright side, was still finding joy in the world
    around her.
    What would that person
    say about you?
That I was aggravating. That I liked to tease her.
    What is your family like?
My family is great. They embrace and accept me, make me feel
loved and special. They help refocus my life by their acceptance. They remind me
of why I’m doing what I do.
    What special skills do
    you rely on?
The skills the Marine Corps has taught me. If I didn’t have those,
I might not have saved my angel. And my charm of course. *grins*
    If someone from your past
showed up, who would you NOT want it to be, and why?
My high school sweetheart. I’ll face her in my own time, not
    hers. She broke my heart.
    Are you happy with the
way your story ended? Why or why not?
Definitely! The saint got his angel. She is everything I want.

    About the Writer

Why did you choose to write about this character?
It was more of a catharsis, I’m not sure that I had ever planned on finishing it, as Saint has the personality of my son. He joined the Marines and I was missing my buddy, especially when he was deployed to Afghanistan. When he returned from deployment I could separate the two and it took on a life of its own.
    Why do you write?
    It makes me happy.
What do you want to write next?
I want to finish the dragon stories I’m working on.
What other character from this book do you want to write about?
Alejandro. Care to tell us why? He’s as much of a charming rogue as Saint is. I like that.
Are any sequels planned for this book?
Yes. I’ve actually started two, starring Saint’s primos (cousins) Lee and Alejandro.
Is there anything you’d like to say to your readers?
I love to hear from my readers. What you enjoyed, what you didn’t. I have made changes based on feedback when I worked on my next book. I actually have one who has given me an idea for another book. But I told him I have to finish the ones I’ve started first.

shop in the pantry and to see what might be cooking for dinner.

    Interview with Randee Ellis

    Tell us about yourself,
    please.
Around these parts I’m nothing special or different from most
other females. I’m a rancher and I work 365 days a year, caring for over five hundred
head of cattle, horses and my dog, Dusty. My uncle Rex and I have run the ranch
since my parents were killed in a plane crash when I was fifteen. I graduated college
in Animal Husbandry and business. I had a boyfriend who dropped me like a cow drops
a dead calf and I plan on spending the rest of my life with animals instead of men.
What is it that you want,
but cannot have? Authors call this the conflict of the story.
I don’t even like to say it…no matter how I try, I still have
this damn attraction to the opposite sex. I wish the need to be with a man would
    just go the hell away!
    What’s your internal limitation?
Meaning, what is it about you that makes it so you cannot do what it is you need
    to do during this story?
Simple answer…I love a Wrangler butt. A man who oozes desire
and confidence and a little bit of conceit. I also long to have a life-time companionship
like my parents had with each other. They had so much fun together, no matter the
    hardship of the situation.
    What inner doubt causes
    you the most difficulty?
That I’m not complete without a family and a man.
    What’s your external complication?
In the story world your author created, explain what it is you
fear most. The fear that I could lose what my parents fought so hard to create,
the ranch and living on their own.
    Tell us about your significant
other, that person who makes living worthwhile.
Well, hell, that’s a loaded question, I’m not even sure that
he would like the term (significant other) he’s been married and he swears he’ll
never do it again, but he does look at me as if he could ravish me for about twenty-two
    hours.
What would that person say about you?
That I am the biggest pain in the ass, and that he watches my
ass when I ride my horse and that he wants my ass…
    What is your family like?
My uncle Rex is like a father to me and his girlfriend Ceil is
like a mother. I also have a cousin named Miles that is a Ken-Doll without a dick
and I dislike him. He seems to have not got the drift that I don’t care for him.
    What special skills do
    you rely on?
First and foremost, my intuition. I think my mother is helping
me from the other side. Helping me to make the right decisions for the ranch. However,
I think we may have screwed up when I hired Chase–a total stranger to help out
    after my uncles heart attack.
    If someone from your past
showed up, who would you NOT want it to be, and why?
My dad. He was a perfectionist and I don’t think the ranch is
now being run by me as good as he would have run it.
    Are you happy with the
    way your story ended?
Hell no! it hasn’t ended at all. We just got through one crisis
and I am in love with Chase Gregory, but there are so many hurdles still to cross.
What’s that old Carpenter song…We’ve only just begun!

    About the Writer

    Lyn Austin

Why did you choose to write about this character?
I sat on the bank of the

Was there anything you discovered about this character
that was a surprise to you?
She was a lot more stubborn
    and bullheaded than I realized.
When you wrote about this character, what made you
    the most happy?
    That she found the love
she’d longed for. What made you the most sad? That she realized she was never going
to have the family she so desired.
    Why do you write?
I have no choice. I have
to in order to be complete.

then The Perfect Storm. (To finish the Storm Trilogy.

Yes The Eye of The Storm
    and My Perfect Storm.
Is there anything you’d like to say to your readers?
I had such a great time
writing this book with Jeffrey Nelson. He has been a private detective for thirty-seven
years and a life-long friend. Not only does he know a lot about the law, but he
grew up on a ranch and his expertise has been invaluable to me, We have created
two more books for the series, and we are excited to share them with all of you.

Interview with Bagsu, son of the High Priest Aapehti and Kheri

What is it that you want,
but cannot have? Authors call this the conflict of the story.
In the beginning Nefer-her; later my legs.
    What’s your internal limitation?
Meaning, what is it about you that makes it so you cannot do what it is you need
    to do during this story?
Nefer-her and I shared several years enjoying life together before
she officially became a woman and before she began her training as a priestess of
Isis. I should have married her then… before she joined the Vestal order, but
her duty, as was mine was elsewhere.
I’m not sure if it’s internal or not, but I’ll answer your question
as best as I can. Growing up I believed I was destined to follow in my father’s
footsteps; his choice, not mine. As I grew, I developed a need to be more and I
worked hard at it. My body developed and I strived to be everything everyone wanted
me to become, including myself. With my eyes cast in another direction, I had full
intent of joining the most precious school of fighters our world had to offer…
then the accident happened. My world came to a complete halt at that point.
    What inner doubt causes
    you the most difficulty?
I no longer have any doubt or expectations, but as a child and
young man I suppose that would be my naivety.
    Tell us about your significant
other, that person who makes living worthwhile.
Nefer-her has long since turned to dust, although her memory
is never far from my thoughts. Not only was she physically beautiful, she was the
kindest most loving person I’ve ever met. She was my world and I will never have
    another.
    What would that person
    say about you?
She never was one to talk about other people, but knowing Nefer-her
as well as I did, I can only imagine what she would say to me and that would be
to forgive myself… but you know, that’s something I can’t do. Not now, not ever.
    What is your family like?
The family I have today is much different than the one I grew
up with. Today, my brethren would be considered cold, vindictive and determined
    on destroying the human race.
    What special skills do
    you rely on?
Everything Set granted me when he turned me into an immortal.

    About the Writer

    Why did you choose to
    write about this character?
I had several books written and planned out for my series, Sekhmet’s
Guardians, long before Bagsu’s story came about. It was actually a critique partner
who casually made the suggestion I should share Bagsu’s complicated story with my
readers. After reviewing the pages upon pages of notes I had on him it became evident
there was way too much information to merely insert as back story into another book.
So Eternal Tuat – Bagsu’s story was born.
    Was there anything you
discovered about this character that was a surprise to you?
Make no mistake about it, Bagsu is as evil as they come. He’s
killed, raped and plundered without a conscious thought. Seeing him as a happy well-adjusted
child who wouldn’t hurt a fly was quite a shocker. I’ve even grown to love what
he once was and like Jennifer, the leader of the Guardian’s Blades, I hope some
day he will find peace and redemption.
    When you wrote about this
character, what made you the most happy? What made you the most sad?
It’s not uncommon for me to laugh or share a few tears when writing.
I laughed at Bagsu’s s innocence when he received his first kiss, I applauded his
heroics like I would any fine gentleman and I wept like a baby at his personal loss.
    Are any sequels planned
    for this book?
Eleven books were originally scheduled to make up the series,
Sekhmet’s Guardians. Three of those were released for publication in 2013. Three
more are scheduled for 2014 beginning with Bagsu’s story, this spring.
For those who are not familiar with the series, all of the books
with the exception of two historicals take place in modern times. Bagsu’s story
is the first of those two historicals.
It’s unusual combining modern and historicals in one series,
but as I mentioned above, there is a tremendous amount of back-story (6,000 years
to be exact) to cover, it only made sense to write them as historicals. Books 4
& 5 in the series both pick up at the ending of book 3, Eternal Blades. One
takes you back… on a journey with Bagsu (Book 4) while Eternal Life (Book 5) moves
forward in time with Michael, the Guardian’s physician.
    Is there anything you’d
like to say to your readers?

    VS Nelson

Perhaps just a bit more regarding the series if you have no objections.
The books are not limited to one couple or one romance. The characters from the
previous books in the series continue into the next, much like a night-time premium
channel series. More recently, I’ve heard reviewers compare to my books to Game
of Thrones. I believe this is because of the way they are written, not based on
content or time frame. Everyone of the books is considered a stand alone and for
the most part are written that way, but personally, I feel the reader would become
more invested in the cast of characters if they read them in order .
Kayelle, thank you so much for having Bagsu (and me) on Romance
Lives Forever. It’s one of my favorite blogs and I consider it an honor to be here.
    Sincerely, V

    How does your hero dress?
You’ll often find Chayton in a pair of ripped up jeans and a
    button-down shirt, or a raunchy t-shirt
    What are the qualities
of his voice? (pitch, quality, volume)
Deep; has been labeled as a raspy roar or “soft and sweet
    with a crust of thorns”
What does he have a knack
    for doing?
Chayton can make a mean drink, but he loves to be outside, on
the slopes, and he makes everyone feel welcome (well, everyone except Naomi).
    What is your character’s
    family like?
Chayton’s brother, Garret, is a former special agent and recently
engaged. His father and mother—the one he always knew as his mom—are dead. Most of his family consists of friends and members
    of the community.
    Does this character see

Chayton sees things in black-and-white. He has been described
as an honest and charming rebel. He may seem shallow, but he’s very deep inside.
    If someone from your character’s
past showed up, who would he most want it to be, and why? OR who would he most NOT
want it to be, and why?
He would not want it to be his birth mother, because she gave
him up when he was eighteen months and he has no use for her.
    What inner doubt causes
    your character the most difficulty?
    The fear of abandonment.
    What past event causes
    your character the most fear?
    Being abandoned.
    What is your hero’s biggest
    personal flaw?
His hostility toward Naomi. One of the most calm and relaxed
people yet shocks others when he flares up for reasons beyond comprehension. He’s
not too opinionated but hates his opinion to be challenged.

About Your Writer: Questions for your character to answer about you.

    Why do you think your
writer chose to write about you?
Well hell, probably because I’m irresistible.
    What do you wish your
writer had not told others about you?
    Shrugs. It’s all under
    the bridge now.
    Was there anything your
writer discovered about you that was a surprise to one or both of you?
Yeah. My sister was a surprise to us both.
    When your writer is writing
about you, what do you think makes your writer the most happy? What makes your writer
    the most sad?
I know she gets sad when I go silent.
    Why do you think your
    writer loves to write?
Because she gets to write about characters like me.
    Is there anything you’d
like to say to your writer?
Uh, thanks for telling my story. And thanks for helping me not
to get my ass killed when I made some stupid decisions.

    Author Bio

    Angela Smith
During her senior year in high school, Angela Smith was dubbed
most likely to write a novel, and that has been her dream ever since her mother
read Brer Rabbit to her and her sister so often that they were able to recite it
back to each other before actually learning to read. She’s always enjoyed stories
about the adventure of love, and getting involved in the legal field developed her
love of suspense. A certified paralegal, work gives her perfect fodder for her romantic
suspense stories. When not caring for her small farm or spending time with her husband
of two decades, she enjoys creating, reading, and dreaming of the places she’ll
    visit one day.
