Fiona, welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I'm Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Happy to have you here! Please tell us about When a Wolf Howls.

When a Wolf Howls by Fiona McGier

Genre Paranormal romance.

Book heat level (based on movie ratings): A very steamy R, that includes a secondary male/male romance as well as the primary male/female romance..

Saoirse's an unemployed scientist, whose bestie since childhood, talks her into applying to be a teacher at a small, private High School Academy in rural Maine. Diego's the principal--and a werewolf. Students are sent here so if a wolf is living inside of them, it will present itself in a safe environment. It doesn't take long for her to realize something's different about the sexy boss she's trying to keep her hands off of; but his wolf has decided she's their mate. While he's agonizing over how to break the news to her, she figures things out and freaks out--then the scientist in her gets intrigued. When the elderly pack leader dies, he names Diego as his successor. But there's a challenger who thinks he can do a better job. Unfortunately, wolf pack leader challenges are to the death.

Insider Information about Saoirse McColl

Welcome! We'd like to know more about you. Please add info you're comfortable sharing.

Nickname: My middle name is Anne, so close friends call me SAM, for my initials.

Age: 34

Gender: Female

Birthplace: Chicago, IL

Profession: Biology researcher, who is now a biology teacher at a private academy.

Please provide a physical description of yourself.

I'm tall for a woman, with curly, flaming red hair, and the translucent, freckled skin that goes with the hair. I don't think of myself as attractive, because coming from a family of 10, I have sisters who are much better looking than me. I run to keep in shape.

How well does your name fit your personality?

Since no one ever knows how to pronounce it, I have to explain it, which gives me a reason to start talking. I inherited the "gift of gab" that many Irish folks have, so any opportunity to chat with people is welcome.

Do you believe in love at first sight?

I didn't used to think it was possible. Then I had an interview with the principal of the Academy, and I could barely answer the questions, because he's so sexy!

Do you believe in magic?

Magic is science we don't understand...yet.

Do you enjoy dressing up or prefer to dress casually?

I prefer casual, but I don't mind dressing up once in a great while. Especially if I can get Diego to dress up also--so I can fantasize all night about removing his suit, one piece at a time, starting with the tie.

Favorites:

Smell--My mother sniffs people she loves--she says she keeps the scent in her head, to remember when we're not close to her. I've inherited that habit also, so I have to say that the smells I like the most are the personal scents of people I love. Diego's scent is my favorite!

Color--I'm Irish Catholic, so of course I love green in any shade. I look really good in teal.

Taste--I love berries with cream.

Sound--My music tastes are eclectic. I like everything from the music I grew up hearing in churches, to musicals, to blues and loud, screaming guitars.

Texture--I love the feeling of my man's face, when the stubby black hairs are pushing through, almost immediately after he shaves.

Can you:

Swim? Like a fish.

Use chopsticks?-I've tried, but I can't do it very well.

Roller skate? I taught all of my younger siblings how to do it, as well as ride a bike--so yeah.

Ski? No, I've never had the kind of money you need to be able to afford even the lift tickets!

Fly a plane? Ha ha ha! Um, nope. See the reason above.

Ride a horse? Yes, I was in the equestrian club when I was in high school. But I'm not very good at it.

How good are you with technology?

I'm a scientist, so I've had to learn how to use all kinds of technology to work in labs.

If you could choose a theme song to play when you entered a scene, which one of the following would fit best:

Uplifting and breezy

What would your author choose for you?

She'd probably give me a loud rock song, with wailing guitar, because I'm an intense person.

Who is the one person who can convince you to do something you know you shouldn't?

My bestie from grade school--Freddie Landon.

Name a friend who is most likely to:

Drink too much and need a ride home

Give you a ride home if you drink too much

Need bailing out of jail

Bail you out of jail

Be in jail with you

The answer to all of those questions except the last one, is Freddie.

Bail both of you out of jail--That would be my husband, Diego. Or my closest female friends, Monique and Jerene.

I sub in high schools during the school year. Otherwise I'm writing and blogging about my books--and reading and writing reviews. Not only do I write erotic romance, I love to read it too. I often read while camping with my long-time HEA. Our four adult kids sometimes join us. I also enjoy sewing--mostly masks these days-- crocheting afghans to keep my loved ones warm, and baking--cookies, muffins, and especially pies. I'm known for my never-fail pie crust, so I put the recipe on my website under the pies tab, along with some of my family's favorites, that I featured in one of my books that had a heroine who baked lots of pies.

Thanks for the spotlight, Kayelle! This book is still on sale through my publisher only, for 40% off, so $3.00! And the paperback has just become available, so I was reading through my copy, and once again fell in love with Diego–and the supporting characters, who mostly get their romances in the sequel, Worth the Wait. I have a scientific explanation for werewolves, which sounds like an oxymoron, but I hope I pulled it off!
