Conn Ahern is an Iraq war vet dealing with pain and PTSD while working as a paramedic and struggling to save the ranch his grandmother founded. He’s an atheist who wants nothing to do with the people of the town.
When Conn and Sybilla meet, sparks fly, but not always in a good way, and their relationship fans the flames of jealousy and revenge in someone who doesn’t want them to work things out.
During a séance, her ancestor’s spirit reveals how Sybilla can rid herself of the curse and save Conn, but the price may be too high.
Why did you write this book?
I was intrigued by family stories about my ancestor, Susannah Martin, who was executed for witchcraft, and I have also always wanted to write a story about a veteran. Many of my family members are veterans and I worked with veterans for over 20 years. Since these two characters are complete opposites, I knew they would be perfect for this story.
What is your favorite genre to read?
Paranormal romance is my favorite, but I read all fiction genres and especially love books that blend genres.
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
Jane Eyre. She is a strong woman who overcomes huge difficulties to reach her happily ever after.
What are you working on at the moment?
Right now, I’m working on the second book in the Cassadaga Collection: The Cassadaga Christmas Cookie Catastrophe. It will be a stand-alone set in the same town as Witch Trial Legacy. The main characters are new, but some of the cast from Witch Trial Legacy will return as minor characters.
What books will we see from you in coming months?
I’m planning the third books in my other two series, Love’s Siren Song and Sirens. The third Love’s Siren Song will be Water Destiny and the third Sirens will be Siren Unchained. Then, I plan to write several more Cassadaga Collections books including Neelie’s story (The Haunting of Spirit Springs), Another holiday romance (Christmas in Cassadaga), and Elana’s story (Title TBD). LOL! I’m probably talking about years rather than months.
