    Bedeviled, a new romance @madisonmichael_ #RLFblog #contemporary

Welcome Madison Michael author of Bedeviled, a new
    contemporary romance.
    Why did you write
    this book?
When I started the first book in the Beguiling Bachelor
series, “Bedazzled”, I did not intend to write a series. The
characters and the relationship of these four friends and their stories came to
life in my head until I could not stop writing about them. We have all seen
people who have so much power or wealth that they cannot be sure they are loved
for themselves. These four men know that they can count on each other because
they are all equally successful. I liked them despite their fortunes and I
wanted to show that with all they had, they were still vulnerable. I thought
their stories were worth telling. When I finished the first novel, the story of
Randall and Sloane was already begging to be written, so I finished “Beholden.”
By then I knew Alex would meet Charlotte in “Bedeviled” and I was
setting the stage in all the books for the final book in the series.
    What is your favorite
    genre to read?
Historical Romance. I think I learn more about history from
romance novels than I ever learned in school. I love learning about other
times, what is happening politically and culturally, and I love the clothes and
    manners.
    Who is your favorite
character from fiction (not including your own)?
I adore MacKayla Lane from the Fever Series by Karen Marie
Moning. She starts out a rather feather-headed bimbo but over the course of the
series she discovers her smarts and her strength. I love the way Mac survives
trials and tribulations with fortitude and even humor. Besdies all that, the
heat between her and Barrons sizzles.
    What are you working
    on at the moment?
I am just starting the fourth and final book in the
Beguiling Bachelors series. I introduced readers to four dashing men in “Bedazzled”
and I have been hinting at the relationship between Tyler and Regan for three
novels. It is time to tell the fourth story and close the book on these two.
    What books will we
see from you in coming months?
If nothing gets in my way, I have a time travel book, or
perhaps short story, that I have been dying to write. I think it will be next,
but recently, with all the divisiveness around politics in America, I have a
political story that just started rattling around in my conscience. If I am
lucky, and diligent, they should both come out this year.
    Please tell us about
    your latest book.

    Charlotte is on the run…
Charlotte Roche has escaped dangers threatening her Boston
life by accepting a job in Chicago. She dons a new name and a new personal for
a new beginning – but it is all built on lies. Thinking she is safe, Charlotte
drops her guard and sets her sights on her ruggedly handsome and wildly sexy
running partner, Alexander Gaines. Can she advance their relationship from the
track to the bedroom and still maintain her charade? Alex is wising up to her
and she fears that his probing questions will pierce her carefully rehearsed
    story.
Alex, with unrevealed secrets of his own, struggles to hold
the irresistible Charlotte at arm’s length until Charlotte sustains a
suspicious injury. Alex seizes the opportunity to cuddle up to the sassy
beauty, risking discovery as well as his reputation, his fortune, and his
friends, not to mention his heart. Their pasts are closing in on them forcing
them to appeal to their friends, characters you’ve met and loved in “Bedazzled”
and “Beholden”. Can they build a bond with deceit on both sides? Join
them as they tackle the maze of half-truths and cover-ups threatening their
relationship and discover if their love is heavenly or bedeviled.

    Dirty Girl a new #romance by @RoryReynoldsBks #RLFblog

This quick interview includes info about the author, and introduces the story.
    About the Author
Rory Reynolds is a stay-at-home mom of two little monsters. She’s a ravenous reader of romance and firmly believes that you can never have too many book boyfriends.
She writes feisty heroines, alpha heroes, and panty drenching smut with happily ever afters.
    Interview with Rory Reynolds
Why did you write this book?
My love of friends to lovers and secret baby storylines was the driving force behind the desire to write Dirty Girl.
What is your favorite genre to read?
Romance… any sub genre with the exception of historical.
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
I’m going to have to narrow it down to my favorite heroine for 2016… and that would be Saylor Samson from Sinner’s Creed by Kim Jones.
What are you working on at the moment, and will see from you in coming months?
Currently I’m working on the second book in my Sassy Girls series that will be out in January. Then after that I’ll be working on a younger woman – older man romance.
Please tell us about your latest book.
Jenson Johns has wanted his sister’s best friend for five long years. Keeping her at arm’s length wasn’t easy, but he had no choice—she was too young and too pure.
No longer a girl, Dylan Thomas has become all woman. Gone is the innocence that once kept him away. Her hungry gaze tells him all he needs to know.
Now he’s ready to claim what’s his… Once and for all.
Note: This novella is an insta-love romance with a secret baby and guaranteed happily ever after.

Married for His Convenience a new #HarlequinHistorical by @ewebsterauthor #RLFblog

This quick interview includes info about the author, and introduces the story.

    About the Author

Eleanor Webster loves high-heels and sun, which is ironic as she lives in northern Canada, the land of snowhills and unflattering footwear. Various crafting experiences, including a nasty glue-gun episode, have proven that her creative soul is best expressed through the written word.
Eleanor is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in psychology and holds an undergraduate degree in history and creative writing. She loves to use her writing to explore her fascination with the past.

    Interview with Eleanor Webster

Why did you write this book?
I write because I have stories to tell and I’m too old to play with dolls. I write romance because it provides me with the opportunity to escape the day job and the stresses of everyday life. I hope also that my books bring moments of levity, joy, escape and romance to my readers. In particular, I love writing dialogue and integrating moments of sly wit and intelligent conversation. My characters voice those wonderful witty and insightful things that I come to my mind with at 2 a.m. and which I wish I’d said 12 hours earlier.
What is your favorite genre to read?
Good question and it largely depends on the season. I work as a school psychologist and find that during term time I seek levity, moments of escape and a genre that is not too cognitively taxing as I seem to have the attention span of a hyperactive gnat. I love the romance of all my wonderful fellow authors at Harlequin historical.  I also adore John Mortimer’s Rumpole of the Bailey.  It speaks to basic human values in a wry, intelligent and humorous manner. It is both entertaining and thought provoking. During the summer months, I can usually manage something intellectually challenging. This summer my favorite was  All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
This is absolutely such a tough question! I will say Anne Shirley from Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery. I choose Anne because, as a shy, only child, brought up by older parents my childhood involved fewer friends than perhaps was typical. Anne, with her vivid imagination, provided comfort, companionship and modeled a way of seeing the world’s beauty. Who can resist a character who can transform Barry’s pond into “the Lake of Shining Waters”?
What are you working on at the moment, and will see from you in coming months?
I am thrilled to announce the release of my second novel,  Married for His Convenience. It is a December, Harlequin Historical release and is a story about two individuals driven by loss. Sarah is searching for her half-sister while Sebastian is looking for his son. It is set against the backdrop of the French Revolution.
I am already working on my third book, also set during regency times and a contemporary located in the city of my birth, Vancouver, B.C., Canada.
Please tell us about your latest book.
Tainted by illegitimacy, plain Sarah Martin has no illusions of a grand marriage. So when the Earl of Langford makes her a proposal that will take her one step closer to finding her half sister, she can’t refuse!
Sebastian’s dreams of romance died with his late wife’s affair, so now he needs a convenient wife to act as governess for his silent daughter. Yet Sarah continues to surprise and challenge him, and soon Sebastian can’t deny the joy his new bride could bring to his life—and into his bed!

    To Be a Spy by @JessieClever #Regency #romance #RLFblog

This quick interview includes info about the author, and introduces the story.

    About the Author

Jessie decided to become a writer because the job of Indiana Jones was already filled.
Taking her history degree dangerously, Jessie tells the stories of courageous heroines, the men who dared to love them, and the world that tried to defeat them.
Jessie makes her home in the great state of New Hampshire where she lives with her husband and two very opinionated Basset Hounds.  For more, visit her website at jessieclever.com.

    Interview with Jessie Clever

Why did you write this book?
This story is in response to emails and reviews from readers.  They all wanted to hear more about the Black family, a family of spies during the Napoleonic Wars.  And who was I to say no?  The Black family was happy to oblige with another adventure.
What is your favorite genre to read?
Historical romantic fiction especially when it has an element of mystery or suspense.
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
I’m going to be clichéd and say Atticus Finch from To Kill a Mockingbird.  Ever since he was brought to life by Gregory Peck, I have this weird habit of picturing him as God.  I really do.  There’s just something comforting about that character.
What are you working on at the moment, and will see from you in coming months?
I have just started working on the Shadowing London series, a Regency romantic suspense trilogy that will follow the story line set up in the Spy Series short stories.
Please tell us about your latest book.
Samuel Black must make a decision: to be a spy like his
    father or follow his heart.
Either is likely to give his mother chest pains.
For Samuel is no longer a lad with the ambitious and noble
wish of being a lamplighter to keep the seedy streets of London safe. About to
embark on university, his mind stirs with the thoughts of creating a policing
force in London to safeguard its citizens. Held back by his family’s legacy as
spies, Samuel does not make his ideas known.
But when he stops a would-be purse-snatcher, his path
unexpectedly veers into that of one Miss Penelope Paiget, and suddenly, Samuel
    must make a choice.
The short stories in the Spy Series:
    1. To Be a Spy
    2. To Be a Duke
    3. To Be a Lady
    4. To Be a Debutante

The Spy Series short stories take place after the conclusion
    of the Spy Series.

Whispers of Forever: Mending Christmas a new #Cowboy Romance by @MaryJDressel #RLFblog

This quick interview includes info about the author, and introduces the story.

    About the Author

Mary found her niche in the contemporary western romance genre. She’s the author of eight western romance novels, with more on the horizon. She dabbles in the paranormal romance genre and has written two time-travel romance books, which are now out of print.
She lives in the Great Lake Basin area in the U.S.A., and has two sons. Her career was in education working with children with learning disabilities at the elementary and middle school levels. She’s taught creative writing for a college leisure program.
Besides writing, Mary enjoys photography, reading, going to the opera and dinner with friends, and traveling. Her dream came true when she retired and became a full-time writer.

    Interview with Mary J. McCoy-Dressel

Why did you write this book?
I wrote this spin off series because it takes place in the same small town where the Carlson cowboys from the Double Dutch Ranch Series live. The new series was created because it takes us off the Double Dutch Ranch. This series will introduce friends and acquaintances of the Carlson family and new characters who live in Canyon Junction.
What is your favorite genre to read?
My favorite genre to read is western romance. I love cowboys, bull riders, and the whole western scene. During the Christmas season, I like to read holiday romance novels.
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
I’ll say the same thing I said in a previous post on Romance Lives Forever. Duncan MacLeod of the Clan MacLeod. LOL, I know he isn’t a cowboy. *grin* It isn’t easy to choose only one favorite character.
What are you working on at the moment, and will see from you in coming months?
I’m working on the second book in Canyon Junction: Hearts in Love Series and finishing up revisions on the fifth book in the Double Dutch Ranch Series. You’ll see these two books in 2017.
Please tell us about your latest book.
A Double Dutch Ranch Series spin off novel
Rancher Jake Lawton is coming to terms with his wife’s infidelity, but he doesn’t expect to become a single dad overnight. He discovers a malicious act by his wife, which could affect both he and his son’s lives. By chance, he runs into his high school sweetheart, never expecting the same old yearnings to return with one “How are ya?” embrace. Has their unanticipated meeting arrived at the perfect time, or has years apart put an end to what should’ve been years ago?
Beth Marconi arrives home to help care for her ailing father. In town, she inadvertently runs into her first love—the cowboy she nearly married after graduation. Sparks ignite before they say hello, but how do they start over when life has left them so bruised? When her ex comes to town, she’s forced to explain the secret surrounding her marriage. Is Jake the kind of man who will understand, or will he revert to the hell-raiser he had become when Beth left thirteen years ago?
Filled with both anguish and hope at Christmastime, a grieving little boy and two lonely hearts pursue a second chance. Jake and Beth seek to work with what they have today instead of living in yesterday’s memories. Forever love and second chances are possible. Right?

With over twenty years of experience in obtaining patents on hundreds of inventions from the latest  drug delivery systems to life-saving cardiac equipment, he has built IP portfolios for numerous Fortune 500 companies. In addition to securing patents, Gibby helps clients enforce and license their patents around the world, and he has monetized patents on a range of products.
Darin’s first book, Why Has America Stopped Inventing?, explored the critical issue of America’s broken patent system.  His second book, The Vintage Club, tells the story of a group of the world’s wealthiest men who are chasing a legend about a wine that can make you live forever.
With a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering and a Master of Business Administration degree, he is highly regarded in Denver’s legal and business community as a patent strategist, business manager, and community leader. Interview with Darin Gibby

Why did you write this book?
Gil is one of those books I wrote for myself.  It tells a powerful story about the price required to pursue one’s dreams, and about what really matters in life. Gil’s dedication to his wife, Keri, was the main theme I wanted to convey.
What is your favorite genre to read?
I tradeoff between historical fiction and thrillers.
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
Johnny Nowlan from A Tree Grows in Brooklyn
What are you working on at the moment, and will see from you in coming months?
I am finishing up a thriller entitled Chasing Hindy. This book is about a patent attorney who thinks she’s landed her dream job with a company who has invented a technology to let cars run on water only to discover that there are other interests who are poised to make sure it never comes to market.  It should publish in March 2017.
Please tell us about your latest book.
Some gifts come with a price.
Twenty years before, high school coach Gil Gilbert gave up his dream to play professional baseball so he could marry his pregnant girlfriend, Keri. When he miraculously discovers that he can pitch with deadly accuracy and speed, he must choose between his successful career and familiar family life or his chance to play with the Colorado Rockies during a player’s strike. Gil stuns the pitching staff with 100 mph fastballs and is offered a contract.
After joining the Rockies, the world soon learns that Gil is a supernatural phenomenon and the Rockies keep winning. But Gil soon faces stiff opposition, including a frivolous lawsuit, a father who feels his son’s calling to pitch is to save souls, and threats from the striking players. As the season progresses, Gil discovers that his unexpected gift is the result of a rare disease, and continuing to pitch may hasten his own death. While Keri supports his decision to keep playing, she is fearful about her husband’s bizarre heath condition.
Gil must decide what price he is willing to pay to live his dream.
