The Warrior in Me a new #SciFiRomance by @AnitaPhilmar #RLFblog

This quick interview includes info about the author, and introduces the story.

    About the Author

Anita Philmar likes to create stories that push the limit. A writer by day and a dreamer by night she wants her readers to see the world in a new way.
Influenced by old movies, she likes to develop places where anything can happen and where special moments come to life in a great read.
    Naughty or Nice?
    Read her books and decide.

    Interview with Anita Philmar

Why did you write this book?
I have been fascinated with the question of whether or not Neanderthal DNA was in the human genome. I know it is a geeky thing to get hung up on, but I liked science in school. After reading the journey of the scientist Doctor Svante Paabo that made the discovery, I had to find a way to create a book about it. This led me on a journey to incorporate science with fiction. Wow, was it fun and it’s not over. This is the 1st book in the series.
What is your favorite genre to read?
I enjoy romantic suspense and love having them with an element of the paranormal which is exactly what The Warrior in Me represents.
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
    I really like Wolverine.
What are you working on at the moment, and will see from you in coming months?
At the moment, I working on the last book in my series – The Cowboys of Naked Bluff, Texas. It is a western, historical suspense that is very hot.  I’m hoping to have it out in January, but the holiday always seem to put me behind.
Please tell us about your latest book.
Special Security Agent Sebastian Berlin is eager to track down his partner’s killer. Instead, he’s assigned the job of baby-sitting a scientist. His boss thinks she’s the key to an Ancient Warrior Prophecy. Science never interested Sebastian, but the know-it-all female standing at the end of his Alaskan dock could persuade him to do a little experimenting. That is, if he can keep his Neanderthal Warrior genes from taking control.
DNA specialist Lily Sinclair is in need of a vacation, or so her over-protective ex-husband tells her. Arriving in chilly Alaska instead of sunny Cancun, she’s tired and cranky and so not in the mood for her bodyguard’s he-man tactics. Still, there’s something about the sexy eye-candy that makes her want to lick him all over even as she’s demanding to go home.
Then Lily’s ex is poisoned, and Sebastian is certain the two murders are connected and she could be next. She knows he’s hiding something, but with the worldwide release of Neanderthal DNA project only days away, she has no choice but to trust him to protect her. But can she trust him with her heart?

    Scandal’s Splendor a new #Regency by @Collette_Author #RLFblog

This quick interview includes info about the author, and introduces the story.

    About the Author

A bestselling, award-winning author, Collette Cameron pens Scottish and Regency historicals featuring rogues, rapscallions, rakes, and the intelligent, intrepid damsels who reform them.
Blessed with three spectacular children, fantastic fans, and a compulsive, over-active, and witty Muse who won’t stop whispering new romantic romps in her ear, she lives in Oregon with her mini-dachshunds, though she dreams of living in Scotland part-time.
Admitting to a quirky sense of humor, Collette enjoys inspiring quotes, adores castles and anything cobalt blue, and is a self-confessed Cadbury chocoholic. You’ll always find dogs, birds, occasionally naughty humor, and a dash of inspiration in her sweet-to-spicy timeless romances.

    Interview with Collette Camero

Why did you write this book?
Scandal’s Splendor is the 4th book in my Highland Heather Romancing a Scot series and it features Seonaid Ferguson.
She’s the youngest Ferguson sister and has waited patiently while twelve other books were written to finally have her story told. She made it clear, she wasn’t going to wait any longer.
What is your favorite genre to read?
I adore historical romance, particularly Scottish, Regency, Victoria, and Medieval, though I’ll read just about any sub-genre.
I started reading Regencies when I was thirteen!
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
    Only one?
Hmm, I’m still a bit dreamy-eyed over the Count of Monte Cristo.
What are you working on at the moment, and will see from you in coming months?
I’m working on a Highlander novella for a group project and as soon as it’s finished will dive into another novella for another project.
Brette: Intentions Gone Astray, my third Conundrums of the Misses Culpeppers releases January 10, 2017, and Passion and Plunder, the fifth book in the Highland Heather Romancing a Scot series is scheduled to release in the spring of 2017.
Expect another A Waltz with a Rogue Novella soon too.
Please tell us about your latest book.
    A determined Scottish lady
Seonaid Ferguson, a lady of Craiglocky Keep, is through with London’s Marriage Mart. After learning she has the second sight, the haut ton attempts to exploit her abilities. Even though it means she condemns herself to spinsterhood, Seonaid sets a desperate course to rid herself of her gift turned curse. As she rushes home from England, a snowstorm strands her in a crowded inn with the last man she ever wished to see again. A handsome French baron who once thought her a courtesan. And just her misfortune, only he stands between her and certain harm.
    An honorable French nobleman
Jacques, Monsieur le baron de Devaux-Rousset, ventures to Scotland to oversee his new investment;  a silver mine near Craiglocky. Only a handsome profit will save his family’s destitute estate in France. But when the mine is beset with one problem after another, Jacques must instead search for an heiress to wed. He certainly should not be falling in love with the lovely, spirited sister of Laird Ewan MacTavish, a lass whose dowry is insufficient to restore his ancestral home. Nor should he consider, even for a moment, her risqué, but deliciously tempting scheme to rid her of the second sight.
    A danger most dire
Matters are torn from their hands when a dangerous adversary vows to expose Seonaid as a witch, just as Jacques’s  problems at the mine escalate into deadly violence. Is it by chance, or a dark design, that both of them are beset at once …? Dare Jacques and Seonaid throw caution aside and forge a future together?

    Forever Yours a new #Romance by @AuthorJPerkins #RLFblog

This quick interview includes info about the author, and introduces the story.

    About the Author

Kinsley Stone never thought she’d arrive at her honeymoon destination being single. She believed a working vacation at Mimosa Key, building her business, would be the best place to recover after being jilted at the altar. It felt like the ideal getaway until her ex-fiancé and his new wife showed up.
Logan Sweet had made a commitment to his parents that he was done with his party lifestyle. He insisted he was ready to settle down and take control of the family business with his brother and sister. He kept that promise until he met Kinsley.
Can Kinsley and Logan handle the roadblocks thrown their way, or could there possibly be fireworks they hadn’t imagined?

    Interview with Jennifer Perkins

Why did you write this book?
I was generously invited by Roxanne St. Clair to write my own story in her Amazon Barefoot Bay kindle world.
What is your favorite genre to read?
I love reading Contemporary Romance and seeing characters develop as they navigate through their lives and relationships. I enjoy going with them to their happily ever after.
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
I just love Joy Ballard from Dining with Joy by Rachel Hauck. Joy is a cooking show host who can’t cook. Looking for a simpler life, she might just find it with Luke Redmond who’s asked to co-host with Joy. This is a beautifully told story of love, life, and reputations on the line.
What are you working on at the moment, and will see from you in coming months?
My current wip is another novella, releasing in Carly Phillips Dare to Love Amazon kindle world in December. This novella is spicier and hotter. I’ll have two additional kindle world novellas in 2017 and beyond that I’m working on a boating series.
Please tell us about your latest book.

    Seduction in Seville a new #RomanticSuspense @olivianightread #RLFblog

This quick interview includes info about the author and introduces the story.

    About the Author

Olivia Night, a fictional character herself, has always been an avid reader and writer. She found the romance genre in college and has never been able to get enough. One sleepless night, the main characters of Book One in her Men of FTI  series sprang from her head fully formed. They demanded she tell their story; so she did. As they revealed themselves, so did two other intriguing characters. Those characters convinced her to give them their own books because their stories were worth telling too. And so Olivia suddenly became a romance author. When Olivia is not writing, she has the best job in the world, which, too, will remain a secret. In her free time, she reads, write, drinks wine, or is, most likely, out emulating Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Olivia lives in one of the most diverse and vibrant cities in the U.S.—Baltimore. She lives with her cat, which she is convinced was a gladiator in his past life. Olivia plans to continue being awesome at this thing called life. Really, that’s her only goal.

    Interview with Olivia Night

Why did you write this book?
This novel is the second in a series. The main characters, Patrick Kane and Madison Lockwood are introduced in the first novel. Their story is very different from Seduction in Sierra Leone, but all the suspense, sexiness, and love are all there!
What is your favorite genre to read?
It actually varies depending on my mood. But I have an entire book case dedicated to Historical Non-Fiction and Biographies. So totally different from Romantic Suspense obviously!
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
Anne Shirley, without a doubt. I love her spunk. And I like to think that I have it, too!
What are you working on at the moment, and will see from you in coming months?
The third novel in this series, Seduction in Scotland will be released on August 1st. I also just finished a manuscript for a new series tentatively titled A Second Chance Series. I am really excited about both of these novels. A spin-off of The Men of FTI is in the works as well. The series is titled Interitus and follows a  group of military men who are part of a secret “peace making group”.

Please tell us about your latest book.

In a hospital in Seville, Spain, Patrick Kane lies in a coma. Ambushed and shot while protecting a friend, he fights to survive.

She never thought she would see him again. Patrick, the man who’d brought her back.
Eight years ago, Patrick Kane, a joint partner in Fairlane Trade International, descended into a basement of horrors. That horrible day he rescued many women, but one he would always remember. Her beautiful doe eyes filled his dreams and haunted his nightmares.
Madison Lockwood, a nurse, has struggled to put her past behind her, trying to forget the time she spent in captivity. But she recognizes the man who rescued her and brought her out of that terrifying reality. She owes him her life. Patrick is gravely injured, and Madison vows to see him through.
When Patrick opens his eyes, he instantly knows that he made a mistake leaving Madison after freeing her from the clutches of a human trafficking ring. She is meant to be his. As Patrick tries to win over a wary Madison, the past they both thought was gone for good comes back with a vengeance. One by one, the survivors of the horrific ordeal are being murdered. Patrick knows that Madison will be next if he doesn’t protect her.
Together they must fight for their survival. Seduction In Seville, book two in the Men of FTI series, is a tale of redemption, murder, new beginnings, and love that takes the reader on a wild, exotic ride.

    The Skeleton Canyon Treasure #RomanticSuspense @Kris_Bock #RLFblog

This quick interview includes info about the author, and introduces the story.

    About the Author

Kris Bock writes novels of suspense and romance with outdoor adventures and Southwestern landscapes. Fans of Terry Odell, Mary Stewart, Victoria Holt, and Barbara Michaels will love Kris Bock!
The Mad Monk’s Treasure follows the hunt for a long-lost treasure in the New Mexico desert. In The Dead Man’s Treasure, estranged relatives compete to reach a buried treasure by following a series of complex clues. In The Skeleton Canyon Treasure, sparks fly when reader favorites Camie and Tiger help a mysterious man track down his missing uncle. Whispers in the Dark features archaeology and intrigue among ancient Southwest ruins. What We Found is a mystery with strong romantic elements about a young woman who finds a murder victim in the woods. In Counterfeits, stolen Rembrandt paintings bring danger to a small New Mexico town.

    Interview with Kris Bock

Why did you write this book?
I live in New Mexico and I love outdoor activities such as hiking and rock climbing. I’m also fascinated by stories of buried or lost treasures, and there are many of those throughout the Southwest. My Southwest Treasure Hunters novels combine stories of treasure hunts with outdoor adventures.
The first book in the collection, The Mad Monk’s Treasure, was inspired by the legend of the Victorio Peak Treasure: a heretic Spanish priest’s gold mine, made richer by the spoils of bandits and an Apache raider. It introduced Camie as the main character’s best friend, and it also included Camie’s extraordinary cat Tiger. They make minor appearances in the second book, The Dead Man’s Treasure. My latest title features Camie and Tiger in a new adventure, inspired by another legend: the Skeleton Canyon Treasure. Each of the Southwest Treasure Hunters novels stands alone in this series mixing action and adventure with light romance.
What is your favorite genre to read?
I read pretty widely, from classic mysteries and cozy mysteries to romantic suspense, historical romance, and middle grade novels. In any genre, I tend to prefer plot-driven novels with plenty of action but not much violence.
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
I pondered this for a while and could not come up with an answer. I like to become the character when I’m reading, so I like relatively ordinary people who are put in unusual circumstances.
What are you working on at the moment, and will see from you in coming months?
I write a lot of children’s books for educational publishing, so I have a number of fiction and nonfiction books for kids coming out in the next year or so. A fun one is The Genie’s Gift, a lighthearted action fantasy that draws on the mythology of The Arabian Nights. I write for children under the name Chris Eboch.
I’m also about to start a new cozy mystery series. The main character is a war correspondent forced into retirement at age 50 after being shot on the job. She returns to her hometown to live with her father and has to come to terms with her new life. Of course she gets dragged into mysteries, which she’ll be able to handle because of her background.
Please tell us about your latest book.
Camille Dagneau – beautiful, brilliant, and prickly – isn’t quick to trust, especially when a strange man has broken into her machine shop at night. Ryan MacAllister insists he’s merely looking for his missing uncle, who has disappeared while hunting for a lost treasure. He believes Camie is the key to finding the treasure, and his uncle. Camie can ignore the attraction she feels, but she won’t pass up the chance for an adventure.
Following the clues in the missing man’s journal will take Ryan, Camie, and her feisty cat Tiger on a trail through New Mexico and Arizona. They’ll investigate the Tombstone graveyard at night, uncover clues in museums, and ultimately explore Skeleton Canyon, where rumor says nineteenth-century cowboy bandits hid their treasure in a cave. They’ll face many dangers to rescue Ryan’s uncle, but trusting each other may be the biggest challenge.
If you love suspense and romance, don’t miss this gripping adventure!

    Re/Leased (Doms of the FBI 5) #RomanticSuspense @MZurloAuthor #RLFblog

This quick interview includes info about the author, and introduces the story.

    About the Author

I’m Michele Zurlo, author of over 20 romance novels. I write contemporary and paranormal, BDSM and mainstream—whatever it takes to give my characters the happy endings they deserve.
I’m not half as interesting as my characters. My childhood dreams tended to stretch no further than the next book in my to-be-read pile, and I aspired to be a librarian so I could read all day. I ended up teaching middle school, so that fulfilled part of my dream. Some words of wisdom from an inspiring lady had me tapping out stories on my first laptop, so in the evenings, romantic tales flow from my fingertips.
I’m pretty impulsive when it comes to big decisions, especially when it’s something I’ve never done before. Writing is just one in a long line of impulsive decisions that turned out to showcase my great instincts.

    Interview with Michele Zurlo

Why did you write this book?
When I first conceived of the Doms of the FBI series, I had envisioned four books—one for each Dom mentioned in the first book. Since then, the series has grown and readers have demanded more. In book 4, I introduced characters from a security company that is called in to help uncover corruption within the Bureau. With Re/Leased, I wanted to write about a heroine who had a history as a thief, and I wanted her to meet a Dom I hadn’t previously introduced. There’s all kinds of tension because his job is to find out who is stealing from his estranged father’s company, and she has a lot of secrets and a shady past. They’re perfect together, but trust and obstinacy are definitely issues they have to deal with. It’s sweet, feisty, heartbreaking, and heartwarming.
What is your favorite genre to read?
I love to read YA and nonfiction. My day job is as a middle school English teacher, so most of my reading has to do with books I think my students will like. The last book I read is Here in Harlem by Walter Dean Myers, which is a poetic imagining of a neighborhood during the Harlem Renaissance (my favorite period in literature.) Within the YA title, I’ll read pretty much anything.
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
The Tenth Doctor. I hope TV shows count. I loved the way David Tennant portrayed Doctor Who. He took the role from the darkness of Chris Eccelston’s #9 (seizing on the hope #9 set in motion) and elevated it. He was funny, smart, and strong—everything a classic hero should be. I especially loved him with Donna/Catherine Tate. [Disclaimer: This is in no way intended to disparage any other Doctor portrayal.
What are you working on at the moment, and will see from you in coming months?
I am working on finishing the draft for Re/Viewed (DFBI 6), which I hope is finished by the time this is published. I have a tentative publication date of Dec 2016. I also hope that by the time this is live, I have finished a short story for a cowboy anthology with RB4U. Lastly, I should (if I’m still on schedule) be brainstorming the first book in the SAFE Security series, a spinoff of the Doms of the FBI series, featuring David and Autumn, the same couple you’ll get to know in Re/Leased. Their story is just getting started, and I’m hoping to have it ready to go in early 2017.
Please tell us about your latest book.
Honoring a promise he made to his late mother, David Eastridge, part owner of SAFE Security, returns home one final time—to help his father find the culprit responsible for embezzling three million dollars from his company. It should be an easy job—his father already has a suspect in mind.
After a series of tragic events that robbed her of a father and put her sister in a coma, Autumn Sullivan was forced to take on several jobs just to get by. She’s an accounting assistant by day, an occasional service Domme on the weekend, and a thief-for-hire by night.
David’s strategy of hiring Autumn—as a submissive—backfires when he finds himself enchanted by her sense of humor and playful attitude. Determined to prove her innocence, he enlists the help of Malcolm Legato and Agent Keith Rossetti to dig deeper. This enigmatic submissive is openly hiding things from him. Her secretive nature and the bread crumbs she drops about her past don’t add up—not even when he assigns Jesse Foraker, his SAFE Security buddy—to tail her and search her apartment. None of them are prepared for what the FBI uncovers.
Falling in love wasn’t in the plan, but David makes her believe that she isn’t doomed to live a solitary life. Plunged into a world of lies and espionage—with a serial killer after her—Autumn is forced to come to terms with her past if she is to have any hope of a future with David.
