    Winter’s Quest a new #UrbanFantasy by @annekane #RLFblog

This quick interview includes info about the author, and introduces the story.

    About the Author

Anne Kane lives in the beautiful Okanagan Valley with a bouncy Jack Russell terrier, a cantankerous Himalayan cat, a bossy little calico and too many fish to count. She spent many years trying to fit in and act normal, but finally gave up the effort. She started writing romance, and her fate was sealed when she won a publishing contract with Red Sage Publishing and just a month later Changeling Press accepted her first submission. Since then she had published more than thirty stories in a variety of sub-genres, all with a happily ever after.
Her hobbies, when she’s not playing with the characters in her head, include kayaking, hiking, motorcycles, swimming, skating, karate, playing guitar, singing and of course, reading.

    Interview with Anne Kane

Why did you write this book?
I wrote this book for the sake of my sanity. Winter’s Quest is the fourth book in the Mercenaries Series. The hero and heroine met in the previous book and had been nagging me to write their story for over a year. I finally gave in just to get some peace and quiet!
What is your favorite genre to read?
That’s a tough question, but I’d have to say paranormal romance, closely followed by Urban Fantasy and Science Fiction. I’m really not much of a fan of reality J
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
Not my own? Darn! Okay, it’s a toss up between Elena from Kelley Armstrong’s Women of the Otherworld series and Patricia Brigg’s Mercy Thompson.
What are you working on at the moment, and will see from you in coming months?
I have two projects on the go at the moment. One is a full length novel that I started for NanoWrimo last year. I made the 50,000 word count, but the story isn’t finished yet.  I’m also working on another installment of the Mercenaries Series which should be out late summer or early in the fall.
Please tell us about your latest book.
Trace wants Winter, and he’s not a man to take no for an answer.
Winter remembers all about the insanity of life as a lab rat, but what she doesn’t know is how she got there. Given the mess she’d made out of her life up to this point, she needs to find the answers to her past before she can get on with her future.
Trace isn’t sure why Winter is so hung up on her past but if she plans on chasing all over the nine provinces looking for answers then it’s up to him to make sure she stays safe. And, while they’re spending all that quality time together, maybe he can convince her that he’s more than just a convenient sex partner.

    The Homecoming #womansfiction by @dougiemchale #RLFblog

This quick interview includes info about the author, and introduces the story.

    About the Author

In a past life Dougie has been a musician and song writer, playing in several bands, performing live and recording music. He has a degree in Learning Disability nursing and a post graduate diploma in autism. Dougie lives in Dunfermline, Fife, with his wife, teenage daughter, older son and golden retriever. The Homecoming is his first novel, inspired by a love of all things Greek, her islands, people, landscapes, sea, light and ambience all of which are important themes and symbols in his writing.

    Interview with Dougie McHale

Why did you write this book?
I wrote a travel journal/book of my visit to the island of Zakynthos many years ago. It was my first serious attempt at writing a book but it was never published.  I didn’t know it at the time but it was to influence the writing of The Homecoming which has Zakynthos as its main backdrop. I used that piece of writing as my research when the story line of the novel moves to Zakynthos. The main backdrop in the novel was always going to be Greece that was never in doubt. I’m also inspired by what it means to be human, our thoughts, feelings, emotions and beliefs and how such things influence our relationships with others and our personal stories.
It was the book I was always going to write and it grew with me. I wrote it over a period of a few years and during that time my writing developed and improved. Many years ago when I wrote my first ever song I thought it was good at the time, however, as I learned the art of song writing I realized that as a process it takes time and a lot of practice before you finally get it right. Learning to write a novel was the same. I revisited the plot and prose which involved lots of drafts and with each visit it was like getting acquainted with an old friend again. Initially its flaws and weakness were all to evident but with time its strengths and potential matured into a story that I really cared about as eventually my writing improved and I felt competent with my style. It became a potent part of my life.   As my writing progressed, the characters developed into intricate individuals with private and personal sides, their hopes, motivation, dreams and conflicts drove the plot forward. They became like real people to me who I empathized with and who I had watched grow and develop.
What is your favorite genre to read?
I love books that have a sense of place and time, which draw you into the social and cultural complexities with ease. I like the characters to speak to me from the page, where I can identify with them, their hopes, fears, conflicts, loves and emotion, for me that is when a character becomes real and it’s at that point that I want to know what is going to happen to them, where is their life taking them in the story.
I often read Sebastian Faulks, William Boyd, Anita Shreive and Carlos Ruiz Zafon. At the moment I’ve just finished Midnight in St Petersburg by Vanora Bennett. The common denominator is that they all write about what it really means to be human through our relationships with the world and each other. Most importantly they write good stories with beautiful prose.
What are you working on at the moment, and will see from you in coming months?
I’m working on my second novel. Like The Homecoming it is set in Greece. I’m hoping to have it finished and out on Amazon by the summertime.
Please tell us about your latest book.
Louis Satriani has the perfect life in Edinburgh or so he thought, it only took a second to discover it was a lie. Forced to readjust to the shifting events that have rocked his world he confronts the secret and deception that will change his life forever.
A moment of crisis can offer new directions and escaping his past he travels through Greece, an experience he hopes will afford him opportunities to reconstruct his life and rediscover a sense of normality, by burying his torment and establish a reason to be in control of the choices and decisions he makes. Will the lure and sanctuary of a Greek island, Zakynthos, erase the loss of the hopes and dreams that once galvanised his life? Will it offer a refuge and reconciliation with his past? Louis is offered a sanctuary, Maria, a local tour guide. The ghosts of Louis’ past are never far and the circumstances that have brought Louis and Maria together embroil them in conflicting emotions forcing them to face and confront their feelings for each other opening old wounds of the past and suppressed hopes that resonate in the present.
Passion blossoms in a voyage of love, doubt and self-discovery. But can their love survive life changing events and the unfolding of a secret that can only be resolved by a homecoming, forcing Louis to choose between his heart and head. The Homecoming encapsulates love, loss and reconciliation, set against the backdrop of Edinburgh, mainland Greece and an Ionian island.

    Word of Honor a new #medievalromance by @LaurenLinwood #RLFblog

This quick interview includes info about the author, and
    introduces the story.

    About the Author

Lauren Linwood’s historical romances use history as a backdrop to place her characters in extraordinary circumstances, where their intense desire for one another grows into the treasured gift of love. Her romantic suspense novels feature strong heroes and heroines who unite to defeat a clever antagonist and discover a deep, abiding love during their journey.
A native Texan, Lauren is an avid reader, moviegoer, and sports fan who manages stress by alternating yoga with long walks. She plans to start a support group for Fixer Upper addicts–as soon as she finishes her next piece of dark chocolate.

    Interview with Lauren Linwood

    Why did you write
    this book?
I have always enjoyed reading books in a series, but I had
never written a series of my own. I decided after nine standalone romances that
creating a series would be my next creative challenge. It’s a lot to keep up
with, but I am finding the process truly satisfying.
    What is your favorite
    genre to read?
I enjoy thrillers that have some type of historical
connection. Steve Berry and Brad Meltzer do a fabulous job of weaving history
into action-packed stories that keep a reader guessing till the very end.
    Who is your favorite
character from fiction (not including your own)?
I’m a true Pride and Prejudice fan, so Elizabeth Bennet is
my favorite heroine, as she is for many readers and writers of romance. Lizzy
is intelligent, compassionate, loyal, witty, charming, and feisty–everything I
    love in a heroine.
    What are you working
on at the moment, and will see from you in coming months?
My Knights of Valor series is claiming all my attention
these days! Every book will have a connection to Word of Honor’s hero, Geoffrey
de Montfort. Geoffrey’s best friend (and cousin) is the focus of Marked by
Honor, releasing in July, and his niece is featured in Code of Honor, coming in
October. Three more books from this medieval historical romance series will be
released in 2017 that will be the stories of Geoffrey’s other niece and two of
    his children.
    Please tell us about
    your latest book.
Merryn Mantel and Geoffrey de Montfort have loved each other
since childhood. Once betrothed, Geoffrey leaves for the wars in France for
five long years. Upon his return, the two marry and spend one blissful night
consummating their love and making plans for their future.
But her new husband vanishes the next day without a trace.
Merryn grieves for almost seven years–and then Geoffrey returns to her–changed
from the boy and man she knew and worshipped. This stranger refuses to reveal
where he has been and why he stayed away for so long.
Will her husband’s silence create a rift too large to heal,
or can Merryn and Geoffrey recapture the love they once shared?

    Interview with M.S. Kaye

    Why did you write
    this book?
The inspiration for this book I actually found while writing
another book, though the stories are not at all connected. I started wondering
about if a scene had gone another way.
    What is your favorite
    genre to read?
Uhh…that’s a hard question. I like everything from Charlotte
Bronte to Steinbeck, Harry Potter to O. Henry, Twilight to Jane Austin.
    Who is your favorite
character from fiction (not including your own)?
Jane Eyre. She’s the perfect example of quiet and strong, an
unusual pairing in fictional females, and not easy to write.
    What are you working
on at the moment, and will see from you in coming months?
This is going to be a CRAZY year. I have eight books
releasing in 2016. Yes, eight. All three books in the Once series (contemporary
romance), two books in the Born from Death series (YA paranormal), three books
in the Taken series (romantic suspense)

moment, when each most needs to hear what the other has to say.
But Jonathan is three days from entering the priesthood, and
Rebecca leaves him to his peace. But he is unable to find peace.
Without each other’s comfort and strength, they must each
struggle to forge a new path, with only memories of the one day that changed
    everything.
But are they able to forget
    and let go?

    Follow in the Tigerman’s Footsteps a new #memoir by @Tigermanguest #RLFblog

    About the Author

Colin Guest, a 75 yr old Englishman first book was “An Expats Experiences of Living in Turkey,” published by Amazon Kindle. His second, “Follow in the Tigerman’s Footsteps,” published by Partridge Publishing Singapore, is a memoir. It gets its name from Colin’s love of Tigers and covers 19 years of his working as an expat in 15 countries, spread through the Middle, Far East & North Africa. During this time, he lived the kind of life most only dream about. Apart from his two books, he had an article published in his home town in England, carried out a one hour podcast, with a video recording of one chapter of his memoir read on Novels Wild Festival. He also had an article published in ExpatNetwork, a UK expat magazine, with over fourteen of his articles published in online magazines. These include Escape Artist, Escape from America, ExpatNetwork, Expats Focus, Global living and Oval Publishing.
Colin’s working life started with his doing a five-year apprenticeship as a joiner/shopfitter in Plymouth, Devon, England. This led to an early start in first traveling around England on numerous projects, before working on two projects abroad. While working back in England, due to a back injury, he and his wife were put in serious financial difficulties. As a result, after deciding to work as an expat, never looked back.
Apart from his writing, Colin worked as a volunteer at three wildlife rescue/rehabilitation centers, two in South Africa, and one in Thailand. This for animal lovers, he recommends as an alternative to a normal holiday.
After living in Turkey for over twenty years, since the death of his wife, he later married a Turkish lady. They now enjoy a happy second life in Istanbul, Turkey.

    Interview with Colin Guest

Why did you write this book?
It started as a record for my children to know more about the 19 years I spent working abroad, but then I thought my experiences would be of interest to others as it shows there is more to life than a boring 9-5 job.
What is your favorite genre to read?
    Thrillers
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
Reacher from the Le Child series
What are you working on at the moment, and will see from you in coming months?
I have just started writing my first novel
Please tell us about your latest book.
“Follow in the Tigerman’s Footsteps,” sub-titled “The Adventurous Life of an Expat,” comes from my love of tigers that like me love to roam far and wide. It reads more like an adventure story than a memoir and covers a working life most only dream about. As a qualified joiner/shopfitter, I worked on fitting out shops, banks and offices all over England, as well as a few projects in Scotland. However, never in my wildest dreams did I think I would end up experiencing travel and working in so many different countries. Readers will see that there is more to life than a boring 9-5 job, with the whole world waiting for you to experience life in a country other than your own.
Until an old company contacted me about a contract in Iran, I had no thoughts about working overseas. Although in two minds about accepting, when made redundant by the company I worked for, it made my mind up. Working in Iran proved both exciting, and dangerous. Without doubt it was a far cry from working in England, especially when along with sixty fellow workers we found ourselves caught up in a revolution. From Iran, my company sent me to Qatar, where life was peaceful and the beaches fantastic. On completing this contract, I returned to work in the UK. While doing so, a back injury cost me my job, resulting in my family and I put into serious financial difficulties. I decided that once cured, as I knew I could earn far more money by working as an expat than in my home country of England, I would work overseas.
As a result, of this decision, I went on to enjoy and incredible life.

    Fly a new #eroticromance by @RedLJameson #RLFblog

This quick interview includes info about the author, and introduces the story.

    About the Author

Red L. Jameson is an award-winning and multi-published author. She writes in many genres. Her pen name, L. B. Joramo, includes the odd combination of historical and paranormal for the Immortal American Series. However, it is under her “Red” name, her nickname too, where all her stories are strongly laced with love, including contemporary, historical, time-travel, paranormal, and erotic romance. Red lives in the wilds of Montana with her family and a few too many animals, and is currently working on her next novel that she hopes will make her readers laugh, cry, think, and fall in love.

    Interview with Red L. Jameson

Why did you write this book?
Fly is the second book in the Wild Love Series, which are all set in Wyoming and/or Montana, where things get a little wild. J But the main reason I wrote the book was for Dee, the protagonist of the story. She’d been talking to me long before I wrote the first book of the series. When I finally dove in and started to write her story, she was nearly screaming in my head. I’m glad she’s taking things easy on me now that her story’s out.
What is your favorite genre to read?
I really don’t know if I have a favorite genre. I like them all so much. If it’s a good story, I’ll read it. If it’s unique and good, I’ll be even more happy. However, I have been drawn to more contemporary erotic romance lately, as well as historical non-fiction of the 1920- 1930s. That was an amazing time.
Who is your favorite character from fiction (not including your own)?
Hands down, Scout from To Kill a Mockingbird. There’s beautiful magic in that book. Scout is so real with so many flaws, but so brave, so special.
What are you working on at the moment, and will see from you in coming months?
There’s another full-length novel in the Wild Love Series coming soon. After that a novella, also in the same series. And then back to a full-length contemporary erotic romance book.
Please tell us about your latest book.
**Book 2 of the Wild Love Series, an erotic romance**
    Pregnant.
    And alone.
My worst nightmare becomes my greatest blessing.
Together, they rescued me, literally saved me from a snowy disaster. Both of them—with their tenderness and compassion. But it’s their Navy SEAL, iron-tough, and tattooed bodies that have me wanting more—wanting them. They’ve transformed me, while I awakened them—showed them the beauty of what could be.
Two months ago, I would’ve chosen one, seduced him like only I know how. But that was two months ago, and so much has changed. I can’t tell them about the baby. I couldn’t bear it if they walked away—out of my life.
I’ll have to tell them. This can’t continue. They both want me, and my resistance is waning.  I want what I want—and I want them.
    Both of them.
