A January to Remember by LB Joyce

    Twelve Months, Twelve Love Stories

    Genre: Contemporary Romance

Book heat level (based on movie ratings): PG13

It’s been said third time’s a charm and Hannah Michaels was only hours away from making this happen. After a misunderstanding, an unexpected departure and too much time lost before and after, she was more than ready. The first real date Sean had promised was about to happen.

But then she did something so incredibly stupid. While out for a run, she stepped out in front of a speeding motorcycle. Sailing head-first into a parked car, she was suddenly left with no recollection of the last two years of her life.

Unfortunately, Sean fell into this void.

Even though Sean Young had been next in line to take over his family’s cattle ranch in Australia, baseball had always been his first love. His goal to play professionally was realized when an offer by Cleveland had him leaving the ranch and his family behind to fulfill this dream.

Never did he expect to take one look at Hannah and have her steal his heart. Nor, after returning from an unexpected trip home due to a family emergency, did he think he’d have to start all over again, proving the love they’d shared before her memory loss was still the real thing.

Will this third time become that promised charm? Will Sean’s persistence pay off?

A January to Remember is the sixth book of the series, Twelve Months, Twelve Love Stories. See why so many romance novel enthusiasts are hooked on this series and the cast of characters. Get caught up in their stories. Find out who will be the next to fall in love.

Tell us about yourself as a person.

What makes you different from other people?

I have this creative streak that just won’t let up. I want to do a little bit of everything. I’m a freelance artist, with my specialty designing Christmas ornaments. I’ve competed in quite a few recipe contests (Pillsbury Bake-Off, Betty Crocker, Nestles, to name a few), And now I’ve embarked on this writing journey, something I’ve become very passionate about. My mind is always on to the next design, the next story.

    What is your personality type?

I think most people would say I’m outgoing, but in reality, I’m very shy. I’d rather be the behind-the-scenes person. At any kind of social function, I’m the person who makes sure all the food and drinks are ready to go. I’m very detail minded, something I’m sure drives my family crazy on occasion.

What is your favorite subject to talk about?

Even though I don’t have an athletic bone in my body, I love baseball. There is something so All-American about being at the ballpark on a mid-summer night, watching a baseball game.

    What is your favorite meal?

I love going out for breakfast. If I had my way, I’d eat breakfast for every meal. But this is probably because I am a big coffee drinker and everyone knows, coffee is a must for breakfast.

Tell us about yourself as a writer.

What made you want to be a writer?

I never had any intention of becoming a write. Let along write a novel or a series. But with encouragement from quite a few of the friends I made during my recipe contesting days, one day I sat down and started writing. I’d thought I’d write in a more humorous style, based on my experiences in the contest world I was a part of. But evidently, this was not to be. Instead, I was, suddenly writing a romance novel. I do include quite a bit of humor in what I write. After all, one can’t be serious all the time. Especially when it comes to falling in love.

What’s your best advice for a new writer?

Read and research as much information about writing, publishing and marketing as you can. This is even more important if you are thinking about self-publishing your book. Connect with other authors, especially those who write in your genre. And finally? I sincerely believe if you write something good, you’ll eventually come out the winner in the end. It may take time and it’s a lot of hard work, but it’s definitely worth it in the end.

What are your writing goals for this year?

I never thought I’d arrive at this point, ready to begin on the seventh book of my series, Twelve Months, Twelve Love Stories. But with book six, A January to Remember, published, I’m more than eager to start on book seven. I began with two main characters in book one, A Million Decembers, and now this number has grown to possibly twenty. I like to keep the readers guessing by introducing the possible main characters in the next book. It makes me happy when readers tell me they can’t wait to read what’s next.

With original borderline stories at the edge of accepted conventions, Laura Tolomei guarantees an erotic earthquake with each new novel.
Laura Tolomei lives in Rome, Italy, and is the author of 28+ books in her very particular and unique genre—Erotic Romance with an Edge. Novels on the edge of accepted conventions written in her breezy narrative style that hooks you from page one, such is her trademark, and she guarantees an erotic earthquake with each book! Among others, they include the critically acclaimed scorching dark fantasy Virtus Saga, all ten books of it, along with the kindred spirits of both the ReScue and the Soulmate Series, not to mention her horror novels as well as a few historical ones.
On a more personal note, she has been traveling the globe since age five and has no intention of quitting. Having been an avid reader her entire life, she decided at age forty to write her own stories and is still enjoying every minute of it. A convinced vegetarian for over 10 years, she had to be more “elastic” in her eating habits due to health issues. Regardless, the world she has built for her renown Virtus Saga is strictly vegetarian, and no human living there would ever dare eat meat. She also loves cocktails, and her favorite one, Negroni, is featured prominently in her ReScue Series.

    Stealing Christmas by Lynn Chantale

    Genre: Romance Collections and Anthologies

Book heat level (based on movie ratings): R

Will they find out who is stalking Sara, or will Santa succeed in stealing Christmas?

Tell us about yourself as a person.

What makes you different from other people?

Aside from being blind with a guide dog? As a person I’ve embraced some of the shall we say more eclectic parts of personality such as a fondness for BDSM, enjoying relationships with other ethical non-monogamous folks, and finding my way as an empty-nester and divorcee.

What is your favorite subject to talk about?

My favorite topic is books. I could talk for hours about the books I’ve read or plan to read. It’s a good thing I joined a book club. ;-)

    What is your favorite meal?

My absolute favorite meal is one I don’t have to cook. Other than that, sloppy joes and french-fries.

Tell us about yourself as a writer.

What made you want to be a writer?

I’d always had the writing bug. As far back as elementary school I wrote about a precocious four-year-old with a talent for solving mysteries. Later it turned into wanting something more realistic and more like me. There’s nothing wrong with romances being set on a ranch or to hand out with billionaires, but this inner-city girl wanted to read about other African American characters in less glamorous situations.

When you go to a convention, what kinds of things do you take along?

When going to conventions, I take anxiety meds and plenty of swag, such as sewing kits, lip balm and ink pens. There have been a few T-shirts and tote bags too.

What are your writing goals for this year?

The writing goals for 2019 have been accomplished. As for 2020, I’m looking forward to putting out at least four new books.

http://invideo.io/Linda O’Connor, welcome to Romance Lives Forever. I’m Kayelle Allen, author and owner of this blog. Happy to have you here! Please tell us about Perfectly Honest.

    Perfectly Honest by Linda O’Connor

    Genre Medical Romantic Comedy

Book heat level (based on movie ratings): PG-13

You never know where your words will take you…

When Mikaela Finn agreed to be Sam’s “fiancée” for a weekend, she probably should have told him that she’s a doctor. Sam O’Brien, aka “Dr. Eye Candy,” is trying to shed his playboy reputation and convince a small town hospital that he’s ready to settle down. But when his “fiancée” helps deliver a baby in the middle of the meet and greet, it’s a bit of a shock. If he’d known the whole truth, he might have done things a little differently because somehow his “fiancée” ends up stealing his job and his heart. Not exactly the change he wanted. Lies and deceit – it’s a match made in heaven!

Tell us about yourself as a person.

What makes you different from other people?

I write medical romantic comedies, and I’m also a physician. I have a whole left brain/right brain thing going on.

    What is your personality type?

I’m pretty calm in emergencies which helps in my work as an urgent care doctor. I’m also a good listener, and I can be tenacious. I think you have to be somewhat tenacious and a bit competitive to get into medical school (that’s an understatement). When I have a goal in mind I work steadily to achieve it.

What was your favorite childhood game?

Red Rover. I remember playing that on the school playground and loved it. Second favourite was playing hide and seek outside on a summer evening when the whole neighbourhood was our playground.

What is your favorite subject to talk about?

Unless I’m talking to other doctors I can’t really talk about medicine, so it’d have to be about writing. I could talk a lot about that. Second would be about my sons – I’m definitely a proud mom.

    What is your favorite book?

This changes, but right now I’m really enjoying and laughing out loud at David Rosenfelt’s Andy Carpenter mystery books. So funny!

    What is your favorite meal?

Indian take-out – lamb korma – doubly so since I don’t have to cook it! More time to write.

Tell us about yourself as a writer.

What made you want to be a writer?

I thought it’d be cool to weave medical advice in a novel to help people take more control of their health. My favourite books to read are romance novels with a happily ever after ending so I thought I’d start there. The thought of having a book on the shelf with my name as the author was pretty compelling.

What are your favorite reference books?

The Emotional Thesaurus by Angela Ackerman and Becca Pugilisi and How to Market a Book by Joanna Penn

When you go to a convention, what kinds of things do you take along?

Comfortable shoes, swag, business cards, my cell phone, and my laptop so I can write while I travel, credit card for shopping :D

What’s your best advice for a new writer?

Tune out all the doubts and just write.

What are your writing goals for this year?

I’m currently working on a (drumroll please) new series, Brogan Corkie Matchmaking Doctor series. My goal is to finish all four novels this year – I’m almost done number 3 – and publish one every three months staring early in 2020. Should be fun!
