Nickname: Tapper was my call sign in the military. I got it because it’s a common tag for bartenders. I still go by it.

5’11” in my boots. I’m in good shape, still work out every day as if I was still in the Army. Black hair, blue eyes.

How well does your name fit your personality?

I’m the fourth generation to carry the name from when my great-grandfather came to America from Ireland during the famine. I’m also the fourth generation to take control of Murphy’s Pub. The name, bartending, are in my blood. I’m proud of both.

Do you believe in love at first sight?

No. Until she walked into my bar. I’ve been round, but she took my breath away. One smile and my heart was gone.

What is your astrological sign?

I’m an Aries. My army recruiter snorted when I signed up. He said with that sign I was destined to be a leader.

Do you enjoy dressing up or prefer to dress casually?

Casual. T-shirts or soccer jerseys. Jeans or cargo pants. I can cleanup if it means getting a date with the woman of my dreams. For her, I’d do anything.

Favorites:

Smell: I love the smell of my old pub. Old wood, pine, citrus and beer.
Texture: I love to run my hand over the worn wood of the 100 year old bartop at my pub.
Color: Green. Hey, I’m Irish on both sides of the family.
Taste: My girl, Maeve. She is so sweet.
Sound: Maeve’s laugh.

Can you:

Swim? Yes (15 meters with my ruck sack)
Use chopsticks? Like a pro
Roller skate? Yes. It’s a great cardio exercise.
Ski? Yes.
Fly a plane? No, but I can jump out of one.
Ride a horse? Never tried.

What type of music do you like?

I can listen to anything. But I like the nights the all girl Irish band plays at the pub.

Who is the one person who can convince you to do something you know you shouldn’t?

My best buddy, Finn. I met him in grade school when his family moved to the hood from Ireland. We were like brothers. Went into the Army together and he works at the pub with me now. We’ve done some crazy thing together, had a lot of laughs and saved each others lives.
